We just have to stay up for 24 hours and get a million hits on our website. Here are a few of the guests we have coming down, (more bands and guests will be announced later in the week): Fred Armisen Will Arnett Todd Barry Jon Benjamin Andy Blitz Michael Cera Zach Galifianakis Jon Glaser Bill Hader Nick Kroll Eugene Mirman The National Bob Odenkirk Rob Riggle Slovin and Allen Michael Showalter Tapes 'n Tapes Ted Leo Tegan and SaraWill Aziz and his clean-shaven cohorts really stay up all 24 hours? Or will they pussy out like Jerry Lewis and take a fucking nap in the middle? Make them earn that second-season renewal, America!! Friday Noon – Saturday Noon. MTV.

It's a crime against humanity that AD isn't on tv anymore.

This sounds totally badass

and now they're cancelling Hurwitz shows before they ever air. I hope the Thick Of It pilot leaks soon. At least we've got The Brothers Solomon to look forward to. Watch the trailer for it at http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thebrotherssolomon/index.html Looks to make up for the Let's Go To Prison fiasco.

Aren't they trying to grab the kiddos anymore at the MTV?
May 18, 2007, 9:23 a.m. CST
But I think they gave up on that years ago
May 18, 2007, 10:18 a.m. CST
too bad I have to do things like work and sleep. I hope someone is nice enough to record everything and put it up on the internet, so I can watch it in installments.

I figured that dude wouldn't step within 20 miles of that studio. If he's performing, even weirder. Ted Leo rocks though, listen to him people!
May 18, 2007, 12:36 p.m. CST
but won't this cut into someones taping schedule for "Best Week Ever"?
May 18, 2007, 3:37 p.m. CST
Not necessarily all the human giant sketches, bu the fact that Mtv is actually doing this. I've watched a couple of their sketches and some are really funny, yes kinda like the State. The Shamu kissing sketch was great. What I'm really wondering is when I come back shitfaced from the bar tonight at around 3 o'clock, these guys are really going to still be hanging around the studio? If that's the case, that's fucking hilarious.

If only MTV would do more freeform type of stuff like this, they'd get a hell of alot more buzz and acclaim than they've gotten in the past decade.

A few things witnessed so far during this 24 hour extravaganza... A performance by the band Mastodon The Toys R Us in Times Square and the entire street it's on lose power One of the Human Giant cast getting to third base with a picture of Tony Danza Eddie Murphy's "Party All The Time" music video Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" music video Ted Leo performing A fish orgasming A man forced to walk around Times Square with a boombox blasting "Hanging Tough" by New Kids On The Block A caller getting through with a poem that turned racist. And there's about 18 more hours to go...

wouldn't it be great if other networks made their fans work to keep their favorite shows on the air? So, in a sense, the blame can be put on the fans for their shows not making it to another season. Since most of you nerds "say" you don't watch MTV anymore, this is one of the best things they've done in awhile, in a crazy promotional sort of way.
May 18, 2007, 5:32 p.m. CST
could of been planted, I don't know, they seemed geniunely disturbed by it. I love the fact that during that, they still had that guy with a boom box blasting New Kids on the Block walking around Times Square. Who knows when they're going to let him stop?
May 18, 2007, 5:38 p.m. CST
Todd Barry? Nick Kroll? Zach Galifianakis? On MTV? And they're allowed to be funny? This is great television and I'm loving every minute of it. I can't wait until Hader, Samberg, Armisen, Cera, and Arnett show up.
May 18, 2007, 5:55 p.m. CST
this is on MTV? Really?
May 18, 2007, 7:40 p.m. CST
this is getting fucking weird, can't wait for what it's like at around 3:30am
May 18, 2007, 7:41 p.m. CST
John Krasinski holding Rob Riggle and Michael Cera hostage with a "handgun" unless humangiant.mtv.com gets 1 million hits while Will Arnett whips out a high-tech watergun, and then Arnett holds Cera hostage, as he wants the site to get less hits. This is fucking unreal...and it's ON TELEVISION
May 18, 2007, 9:21 p.m. CST
been watching here for awhile. Just got done with Albert Hammond Jr. performing. Is that the Strokes? Nope. Just one of the guys. What is going on?

but if I was given 24 hours of MTV I'd play music videos.
May 18, 2007, 11:20 p.m. CST
what I have seen of this has been entertaining. I now repeat my request for someone to post all 24 hours somewhere where I could do some sort of thing to see them.
May 19, 2007, 12:40 p.m. CST
Dude, are you the REAL INWOsuxRED? as in the creator of that every wrestler ever website from years ago? If so, I tip my hat to you, that was seriously one of the funniest sites ever. My friends and are were so hooked on it that we recently found it again on the wayback machine to relive it again. You should probably start that page back up.
May 19, 2007, 1:16 p.m. CST
They are repeating way too much on this thing. I keep tuning in and seeing the same sketches. I would prefer they draw out things like yelling at sandwiches, rather than playing the same sketches over and over. Also, I haven't watched wrestling in years, so I don't know if I would be very good at adding things to that site.
May 19, 2007, 4:42 p.m. CST
Kudos to you. That site was pure genius. It should be archived forever for all to see.
