Drew Struzan is at it again with a beautiful poster for a low-budget sci-flick called THE SUIT!!

Published at:  May 15, 2007 4:56:39 PM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Tons of stuff in the works today, so I'm going to blast through a couple things... Got those reviews of the new Coen Bros flick up and now here's a look at the newest piece of art from Drew Struzan, the genius poster artist behind such classics as THE THING, LAST CRUSADE and the prequels (and the even prettier STAR WARS SE posters).

This is a lowbudget flick from Greg Aronowitz, who isn't well known, but has worked with people like Spielberg and Cameron as a member of the special effects and art department on flicks like TERMINATOR 2 and AI.

I can't speak to the quality of the movie. I'm not expecting anything great... as more often than not sci-fi on a super low budget is painful to sit through, but no matter what... they got a cool poster. Enjoy!

    by mace tofu

a low budget ENEMY MINE? If the guy has talent even without $$$ he should be able to pull off some decent CGI FXs. Just hope the story is OK.Good FXs never saved a bad story in my book.

Drew Struzen is to modern movie poster design, what Norman Rockwell is to modern art.

    by shub-wankalot

Poster is bitchin'. With luck, the movie will pay homage to Heinlein's "Have Spacesuit Will Travel." Aside from that, I don't expect much from this low-budget romp.

Most likely. Hey isn't that the red-head bully from A Christmas Story? And yes the archer looks like Enemy Mine leftover make-up effects. Budgets don't get lower than this.

Yeah.. looking through my "Posters of the 40s" (and 50s, 60s, 70s) book makes me sad. Something happened in the 80s. I guess it became less commercially viable to paint once Photoshop took off. Too bad - the standard poster today is low. Usually some crappy Photoshop job with big head-shots of the movie's star, or a garish, badly composited scene representing the film (Spiderman trilogy, I'm looking right at YOU!)

Re:That poster looks a little dated...

    by rameses

It's because Drew's paintings haven't changed at all since the 1970's !!He started with a forced/deliberate nostalgia style and now doesn't have to bother .his work has an instantly dated look to it!That said , I love his artwork , he's created some lovely images ,the blade -runner poster as someone mentioned , is awesome .
As for this image , the alien with the bow , reminds me of , some of the dodgey background jedi , in the star wars prequels , crossed with a skiff guard from rotj!
