Ripley to be Tina Fey and Amy Pohler's BABY MAMA?
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I love Sigourney Weaver. I was kinda raised to love her, with GHOSTBUSTERS, ALIEN/ALIENS and many others being on constant rotation in my house. I even remember GORILLAS IN THE MIST scaring the shit out of me... seeing those poached gorillas, hands cut off, etc.
Weaver's always great, but I really enjoy her comedy work, which we don't get to see too often. She was great in DAVE, awesome in GALAXY QUEST and ALIEN RESURRECTION was pretty damn funny.
She's going back to comedy, this time with Tina Fey and Amy Pohler for BABY MAMA, a flick written and directed by Michael McCullers, who penned one of my favorite overlooked comedies of the last 5 years UNDERCOVER BROTHER.
The flick is about a working woman (Fey) who wants a kid, but is absolutely unwilling to sacrifice her career, so she ends up hiring a surrogate mother (Pohler). Weaver plays the head of the company that finds and places surrogate mothers. I'm sure the movie will be funnier than the short synopsis... at least I hope so. I love me my Fey and Weaver and UNDERCOVER BROTHER. They have the tools, they have the talent. Thoughts?

I love both of those ladies.....should be good
-
id love to see sigourney in a new alien movie : alien vs predator vs ripley :)
-
Is it better than the trailers? 'Cause I didn't laugh during the trailers at all. If not, I'm not criticizing, it's just not my taste.
-
Denise Richards was truly hot in Undercover Brother...a very underrated movie.
-
That a rwanda war lord admitted that Dian Fossey was murdered. This general said she was a traget because she got to close to the Ugandan People and that one of her students was actually a spy working for the Rwandan army. This all came out in the UN tribual into the Genocide in Rwanda.
-
Period. Jwanna Mann?
-
another great comedy perf
-
Damn it they're both so sexy.
-
Sister Power.
-
Really!
-
isn't sigourney doing funny in that one? she looks pretty damned funny in the trailers. tina fey is brillo and she and pohler i predict will continue rocking the comedies. perhaps i'm labeling myself as a 15-year old girl but remember pohler's rock-hard nipples in 'mean girls'? commedia.
-
and 'undercover brother' is unfortunately hilarious at times. but maybe that's just because dave chappelle's in it.
-
I mean, it's called "Baby Mama," but isn't Tina Fey white? Also, women need to decide if they want to have kids or not. None of this bullshit surrogate shit, or I'm putting it off until I'm in management crap. If you choose to never have kids and instead focus on a career, fine I respect that. Hell, I'm a dad, so I completely understand. If you choose to be a mom, that's cool too. Even if you're a working mom. But you better damn well conceive, carry and care for the kid your own damn self. Oh, and all women should learn to cook. Seems like young wives nowadays don't know how to cook. That's gotta change. I'm so disappointed that my wife and others like her can't do half the shit my mother and her peers could do. You know, like prepare a meal or clean a house. We men have hands, you know. We CAN jerk off if we have to. You're not so essential that you can blow off cooking just because some female tennis player in the 1970s said you should END RANT (leaves computer to go find his medicine)

Spider-Man 3 comes out this week. Nothing else matters, especially a movie about some career chick wanting, but not wanting, a baby. I've got tunnel vision for Spidey this week. Hey pillowtalk, could you send Alec Baldwin's pig of a daughter my way when she's done cleaning your house? I've got some dishes for her to do while I have a "chat" with her mother.
-
I'll just throw out there that this movie should be about Fey, Pohler and Weaver making out and heavy petting each other in the shower, at the beach, and in a couple hotel rooms. No baby. Why drive off half your potential demographic (men)? Movie makers should keep three simple words in mind--nude supine akimbo
-
It came out the same summer as Austin Powers 3 and was VASTLY superior to it.
-
Nobody wants to see a comedy about some aging yuppies having kids. I want Sarah Silverman to do a movie of the same name.
-
I saw the title and immediately thought, "Shawn Wayans? Ice Cube? Dave Chappell? Who?" Yuppie white chicks? Who cares unless Will Ferrell is in it?
-
That was easily one of the best comedies of the past decade and begs to have a sequel. It's a movie that parodies Star Trek for god sakes, it HAS to have sequels to make the joke complete.
-
A dog pussy I tell ya
-
It's a film out now in limited release and Weaver is hysterical in it. I saw it last week and considered writing a review but somebody beat me to it. I want to say Quint. Still, funny movie. Worth seeing,
-
There needs to be a sequel to Galaxy Quest. Everything about that movie was funny, and the cast worked so well together. Besides, I'm sure it's not hard to get Tim Allen. He needs a job, right?
-
I love you Tina Fey!
-
Tina Fey is such a hottie. I've gained new horniness...er...respect for her since I've been watching her on 30 Rock. She loves to show that cleavage adn I love to look at it.
-
unless he's eatin sandwiches in a hot tub and talkin about manginas. Doesn't Will Forte and Will Arnet have a surrogate mama movie coming out this summer?
-
i love 30 rock
-
i watch that movie every few weeks and it never gets old. "DO I?!? DO I!?!?"
-
yes. one of the funniest movies in year w/ lots o' replay value.
"well that was a helluva thing." -
and that says A LOT.
how many movies do you know around today that has great line s to repeat.
Flicks like: Aliens, Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, Repo Man, Big Lebowski, Galaxy Quest, Friday,
Caddyshack and shit like that? -
yeah.
-
I love that movie. The best work Alan Rickman ever did. Priceless! and what i found maddening was it deserved better praise then it got. Everyone was really great in that movie, in including tim allen. sometimes critics get it so wrong. especially ones called ebert and roper. Rickman's scenes at the convention are just hysterical, the way he puts everyone down. I bet that is how actor really feel at conventions epecially if there washed up.
-
like a real one off to me. Slightly off-topic this but people knock Spielberg for giving Shia lebouef his big break. But I ask, Martin Lawrence, eddie is responsible for that tool and no one berates him for that. Why the hell does Martin Lawrence still have a career. can anyone explain. please. When that is explained we can look into eddie griffin. I saw an alleged comedy in the cinema at the weekend and Martin Lawrence wasnt even funny in that.

While I can cook, it is truly a blessing to have a wife that enjoys cooking and plans meals.
Tina Fey is not funny and can't act. -
That chick is crazy on screen.
-
Let me guess the ending. Fey and Poehler decide to raise the baby together and they all live happily ever after.
-
Otherwise, add Jim Belushi as a kooky neighbor.
-
She is the sole cause of the downfall of Saturday Night Live from funny to unfunny. People need to stop watching her movies and crappy TV shows (30 Rock? Come on... what an awful unfunny show.)
-
loafmeat what TV comedies are actually worthy of your praise?
-
...loud and hard; but it seems nobody was home... I'm somewhat in shock. Usually comments like "learn to cook" are met with atleast a token resistance... it's a slow night here in talkback-land.
I'm reminded of an exchange between Dan Conner and his son on Roseanne some years ago...
"Dad? I thought it was *good* to be a man."
"Not since the late '60's, son." -
hell? I would like to refer back up the page to the "Tina Fey has a dog pussy comment." What the hell does that mean? I dunno, but it made me laugh, which ironically is what's missing from most of her work...
-
...let's begin the "name Tina Fey's privat parts" contest. I formally submit Fluffy.
-
...but how can we be sure? Maybe they could reveal it in a "very special episode" during sweeps.
I'm going with "Stinky" -
NBC has several knock out comedies, none of which are 30 Rock.
My Name is Earl is a quality comedy, Scrubs has declined in recent years but is still top notch comedy as is the Office.
I thought Andy Barker P.I. was a fantastic show and had a lot of potential.
30 Rock has been placed in the center of NBC's best comedies in order to keep the show afloat. Put Andy Barker in 30 Rock's time slot and it would have had great ratings as well.

I've got the scoops for you. That's its name. Scoops. Scoops McClanahan. Taken from her favorite cereal (Raisin Bran) and her favorite Golden Girl (Rue McClanahan).
-
the fact that you know her favorite cereal and her favorite golden girl is fucking sad.
-
Since we are going with first AND last names here, I am revising my entry to Fluffy VAN HESLSING, since her wanker most definitely kills creatures of the night....
-
That not funny!
-
i wish that you think would say more before you поговорите like that. i love s&l & tina fay talks cool on the весточка!
