but having Hulk Hulgan voice a character in a Star Wars spoof - and Joey Fatone might sell it for me.

    Its possible

    by loafmeat

that this will be funny, but the fact that Lucas is involved makes me wary. Everything he touches turns to shit... and stuff that was shitty to begin with become even shittier.
    Shitty.

    While i'm usually a skeptic...

    by wldmk

...Robot Chicken is one of the most hilarious things on the tube these days and in ages, and some of the SW-related stuff they've already done (one of which has already featured Mark Hamill as Luke - small low quality clip here http://you tube.com/watch?v=fVFI_Ra68F0)has been great if not brilliant, so i'm gonna break away from norm and say that this has high potential to turn out Fantastic...

    Darkest sketch! Darkest sketch!

    by varakor

Dude if you ever saw that piece which was from Palpatine's perspective post the destruction of the first death star... hilarious!! Seth and Co definitely has the potential to create something truly outrageous with this property, but damn only 1/2 an hour? That's gonna suck. One hour would be perfect. And I end it with this "Barrywhitus, Candleitus, girlexcitus" (meaning? Next should be a harry potter parody).

Some of the best Robot Chicken material is when they spoof Star Wars scenes.

    Robot chicken isnt funny.

    by knifeandfork

Robot chicken is shit. Its just in joke after in joke. The writers try so hard to appear pop culture savy that they forget to be funny.

Robot Chicken is what it is.

    by boondock devil

That is it's very hit and miss. Throw everything at the wall and see what sticks and I'd say a lot of it is pretty damn funny. Optimist Prime prostate exam? Most lobsided fights? Wonderfully funny stuff. And can't complain about it only being 30 minutes considering that the show's only usually 12-13 minutes long normally.

So is this special gonna have new skits?

    by onemanhairband atx

...Or is it all previously aired skits spliced together? RC has done more than a few SW-related skits, and I'm betting that there may only be one or two new snippets thrown into a compilation. It's still a great idea, and I bet a DVD would sell better than any fanboy-made short film.

"Execute Order 66." "Now, we KNOW Jedi have demonstrated a Spidey sense that can anticipate enemy ambush at close range, but let's ignore that for the Ep. III purge, and the scene where Palps can kill 3 Jedi council members in less than 15 seconds..."

So Lucas has a sense of humor...

    by childe roland

...tucked somewhere beneath that enormous chin? Who knew?I agree that Robot Chicken is hit or miss, very much like Family Guy or South Park (more like the former, actually). And, when it's "on" it's very much worth the investment of 15 minutes. The Peanuts Halloween parody ruled...as did the supervillain carpool and the Cannonball Run sketches.

how the heck does Green always get so much talent?

    by warp11

Seriously, it seems like every episode of Robot Chicken is a who's who of hollywood celebrities providing voices.

After the first season of Robot Chicken, I thought it would be too witty and never catch - great to see that it did. One of the funniest shows on TV.

Robot chicken works best in short 5 sec to 2 min shorts, will 30 mins of all one skit work?

    Hulk Hogan!

    It was better when...

    by meldy

Adam and Joe did it. Their Star Wars / TV parodies were hilarious. Of course, most of them reference very British TV shows. But along with their Toy Movie parodies - they have much higher hit rate than Seth and Co.

    by lynxpro

Kinda like how that Doctor Who gag probably flew over most people's radar. The 4th Doctor, standing on the baseball diamond, asking "Who's on First?". I still say the Lindsey Lohan/Highlander skit was probably the best one so far...with the Palpatine one coming in second.

    I take that back...

    by lynxpro

The Doctor (Who) didn't ask "who's on first". He was just standing on the base for a few seconds and then asked "ya get it?". My bad. Clever though.
