Cool News
Yep... That’s The Joker!
Look, I’ve been getting e-mail about this all day long, since very early in the morning. We were sent the photos that are now available on Superhero Hype right around the same time they appeared in the forum over there, where they were up for several hours before the site moved them to the front page.
For the past two years, I’ve gotten about 10 e-mails a day from people saying, “OMG, I found a picture of Heath Ledger as The Joker!”, and inevitably, when I would open the e-mail, it would be the same fucking photoshop job of Conrad Viedt from THE MAN WHO LAUGHED with a blue filter and some Joker makeup. I’ve learned to hate that photoshop image, and I know people meant well when they sent it, but what made me mental was the common sense of it all. Until now, Ledger hasn’t been in the make-up at all, and he hasn’t been in any sort of public place where he could be photographed. And Warner Bros. certainly wasn’t going to release a poster for the film two years before they even started filming it.
So when that e-mail came in this morning, I almost didn’t open it. When I did, I realized immediately that these were new photos, obviously taken on location. I checked with Warner immediately, and they confirmed that Heath was indeed already on location and shooting.
So why didn’t they go up immediately?
Well, frankly, I want to show you guys something better. Obviously, it’s exciting that someone got these snaps, and I think the photographer was in the right place at the right time, and was obviously thinking clearly. But they’re frustrating photos all the same because of the lack of definition in the image.
It’s sort of a mixed bag. We’ve run lots of photos like this... spy snaps... blurry images... and I’ve always been sort of conflicted about it. With something like the first image of the Joker, it really drives home the problem for me. This is one of the great iconic characters in comic book history, and there’s obviously HUGE interest in how Nolan’s going to interpret the character. This image tells us that there is green hair, but little else. I’d rather wait a few weeks and see what Warner is going to come up with as an official image, because I want some sense of context and lighting. I want to see the Joker the way he’s going to look in the movie.
Don’t take this as sour grapes, either. Far from it. I think the guy who took these pictures did as good a job as anyone could have under the conditions. And I’m sure there are going to be lots more photos and even video popping up while Nolan’s team is shooting in Chicago. It’s inevitable.
If you want to see the pictures and talkback about them, I totally understand. And I’m not bagging you at all. It’s just exciting to know that the film is finally underway and that the Joker’s going to cut a somewhat classical figure in the film. But I still don’t feel like I’ve seen him, and if anything, this only makes me want a crystal-clear image soon.

Nothing to say - carry on...
-
He has green hair... a bit greasy...
-
He will be the Joker? I hope that works.
-
fourth!!
-
We´ll have to wait to see him as Mr. J
-
and between cowboy butt-sex and clown make-up who wouldn't want to be heath ledger these days?
-
I´m spanish and i´m sleepy
-
The make up in that photo is nt finished. Its a decoy. I feel we will have to wait a while longer yet. But those clown masks really freak me out!!!
-
...before we see a proper Joker image. The WB probably don't want to give away their money shot so early. Then again some guy with a camera is bound to snap something on set.
-
He's diminutive, unassuming and not readily associated with anything as anarchic and as crazed (if his previous roles are anything to go by)as a tragi-comic-pychotic villain. He's a good actor, no denying that, and Nolan always makes great casting choices (thus far). It's going to be interesting seeing his take on the Joker, particularly the human dimensions and complexities in character that the Nolan bros will no doubt bring. After 'Begins' there's no other comic hero franchaise I look forward to more.
-
do you A) want to see blury spy-photos up there ASAP w/ little or no explanation B) a 500+ word message about lack of quality & why they weren't run sooner? Vote now!
-
... that's the image I hate like fucking poison now. Sent to me ten times a day like clockwork. AND IT'S NOT EVEN HEATH FUCKING LEDGER'S FACE. <P>Tallboy, honestly, I don't really care what the poll says. I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't. I'll edit the stories I put up the way I see fit, and if all you want is someone to just slap things up without thinking about it, then I'm probably not ever going to satisfy you. It's not like you couldn't see the photos elsewhere if you reeeeeeally needed to. They were available. Vote if you want to, but it's not going to change my mind at all.
-
..could I just say the other pictures that have filtered through of the Bank of Gotham, wow I really like the consistant set design that seems to be carried forward from BB.....and not a neon light in sight, Great stuff cant wait till some official pics come through....my gues though it will be around November-ish before this happens? Its going to be a long summer!
-
Agreed really - this is no way to see how the Joker's going to pan out in the finished film so I'm going to wait until those first official photos are released. I have to say though I'd trust Nolan with my kids, inheritance and girlfriend on what he's made to date but I am wondering whether this 'downplaying' of the villains here may undermine the character slightly - or whether he's going to stay true here and that we're going to get the totally whacked-out, scary and psychotic Joker we've been waiting for. I'm hearing Alex DeLarge/Killing Joke/Man Who Laughs refs being thrown around by all involved - which bodes very well indeed. I do feel from the photo that Ledger looks a little too beefy for my ideal Joker, but I'll hang fire here....I always was curious to see what a young Mark McKinney would have done with the part. Physically he was right and the guy can play just about anything in my book.
-
Throw in some digital colour timing that will add the requisite mood, and this representation of the Joker will work. I do like that he has the torn and tattered look. Yeah, it sort of comes from various comics and THE BATMAN, but Joker should be dirty. She should never be clean-clean.
-
Sure..we don't get much..but just his pose there and seeing how his hair looks, I can picture the rest. Ledger has a wicked smile and I can see him being a fantastic "Killing Joke", sadistic, humorous Joker.
-
I don't say this to make Moriarty cranky (no one wants Moriarty cranky), but I've been checking out AICN for a long time, and crappy spy pics and reviews of leaked scripts were the site's raison d'etre. And for a site that's forever removing pics "on request of Sony" et al, it does sound a bit disingenuous to say, "I'd prefer to wait for the official studio photos." Gosh, I just used a bunch of fancy words!
-
it's his stunt double.
-
You can all go see them there. So quit whining.
-
That's not the Joker, that's Ledger chatting on set before make-up and costuming. His hair is green because they've dyed it rather than go with a hair-piece. This is a pointless picture. Nolan won't let us down anyway so I'll wait for the movie to come out to see Joker reinvented.
-

Wow, it's a balding guy with remains of green hair!
by JackPumpkinhead
And he's much fatter and shorter than the Joker ought to be! Amazing! Can't wait to see the rest of this wonderful film. Hopefully the Hulkhoganmobile returns, too.
-
... no, just kidding. <P>Like I said, I really did think about this. And in the end, less than 12 hours after they showed up in the first place, here's a talkback for you. But I still think the photos kind of stink. <P>And this isn't just any story. This is The Joker. I know I don't go on and on about Batman here, but Batman is my favorite comic book character, and The Joker is my favorite villain, bar none. So it's not that I want only "official studio photos." <P>I just want good photos. Sue me for being picky on this one.
-
get a better zoom lens
-
Damn you.
-
The pics are so-so, the masks had a bit of my interest though, but they do appear to be for his thugs anyway. Can't wait for some good pictures of this... really expecting a great script from John and Chris. I'm still hanging on the idea that Goyer's participation, while he must have helped Nolan's vision of Begins, it seemed most likely that Goyer was responsible for all the campy one-liners and cheesy jokes in Begins that felt out of place and took me out of the movie. "I gotta get me one of those" anyone?
-
I would have prefered Christian Slater for the Joker. You may now tear me apart but I think he could play Crazy and has a wicked evil smile. Anyhoo to late now. Hope they sort the fights out in this film. Batman Begins was great but the fighting was muddled and confusing and you never knew who was hitting who.
-
Well yeah, the photos suck. I took some semi-OK pics when Spidey 3 was filming here, but I was too afraid to send them in. Of course, some other knob sent in his photos and was pummeled mercilessly: WOW! IT'S A TRUCK! On a STREET! Still, I think that's the charm of the site: the timeless archetypical conflict between movie geeks and studio security. Who doesn't love to stick it to The Man? (And it's fun now to see those crappy blue screen spy pics showing up in the Die Hard 4 trailer... hmmm... looks like a fighter jet and an overpass...)
-
Ceasar Romero was an absolutely friggin' awesome joker. The laugh, the facial expressions... how about some of that Brando CGI magic?
-
Hey, she´s just that hot
-
I know this is something like two years too late, but I recently saw a rerun of an old "Law & Order: SVU" with Martin Short as the special guest villan. Holy cow can he be one creepy insane looking little pup. He even has the Joker grin down pat without requiring stone masons to mortar his lower jaw into position.
-
I think he needs less hair on the sides.
-
...needs more street sparks.
-
I know I'm only a recent poster, but I've read this fine site on and off for years - back to the Kenneth Brannagh is Obi Wan days. It seems to me, this is exactly the type of picture AICN ought to be publishing. Why so reticent now?<p>Me, I don't care that it's not a clear image. I am a nerd, and I will look at whatever garbage you show me. I demand to see blurry mobile phone shots and phony photoshop fakery!
-
Yeah those pictures are horrible. And you can't really judge what Nolan is doing wih the joker accurately. However, after running similiar stuff to this, what is the difference? Is it just that we want DK to be amazing and these shots don't lean that way? If someone had a blurry pic of Nic Cage wearing a skull helmet with fake fire on it, would you run it? What is the distinction? Not trying to be an ass just wondering how you define the line.
-
There doesn't appear to be anything done to his face. The only thing that's out of the ordinary is that (most of) his hair is green. That can't be the finished product.
-
that nut job is the real joker ......
-
You ignorant sluts.
-
I'm with M on this one. This is AINT IT COOL NEWS. There's nothing especially cool about that photo. It's blurry and the makeup isn't even finished. That's not The Joker. It's Heath Legder with a green tint in his hair. Not cool.
-
might just be for the Joker, himself. Heath made a reference in an interview to "wearing masks," and while i suspected he meant that in a metaphorical sense, i also wondered if Nolan's real-world aesthetic might have the Joker behind a clown mask.
-
from latinoreview and bit clearer definition http://tinyurl.com/2egvve

that its Emily Blunt. To play Dr. Harley Quinzel. It was offered to Maggie Gyllenhall but since she was offered and took the part of Rachel Dawes, she had to turn down the role of Harley Quinzel. According to Dark Horizons, Emily blunt is now in talks to play that role.
-
a HAPPY JOKER <P> http://www.flickr.com/photos/52006161@N00/203877659/
-
It's Heath Ledger. Move on.
-
the point is that it gives you a taste while providing no satisfaction.
-
Drakhorizons reported that Emily Blunt was in talks to play Rachel Dawes, not Harley. http://www.darkhorizons.com/news07/070201i.php
-
and he apparently runs this site so knock it off!!<p>What I want to know is why they recast the character of Rachael Dawes. The character isn't remarkable enough to make it worth the distraction of casting a different actor in the same role. Unless...she's Two-Face! Who says his name has to be Harvey Dent? </p>
-
...or is it me?
-
Nolan gets it....
-
Adrian Brody would've been a decent Joker. he's got the look for it.
-
Somebody said: 'Dunst as Harley Quinn', that's not a bad choice, but having done Siderman she probably wouldn't wanna do it anyway. How 'bout some crazy casting; like Winona Ryder? No, hear me out. She has the requisite killer bod, so she'll slink about nicely in that suit. She's a helluva actress and can do 'crazy' really well. And before you say she's too old, Michelle Pfeiffer was the older when she did Catwoman. Bale and Ryder have worked together before and have good chemistry. What do you guys think?
-
It's definately not the whole make-up job. I think I remember hearing Ledger say that the Joker was going to have greyish skin. Creepiest photo ever are the boxes of messed-up clown heads. The hell?
-
They should put Joker in a suit with flames on it. I'm just as excited as anyone to check out some images from the new Batman, but with these...no offense, but it just isn't enough to bother with. You can't even tell it's Ledger. And those mask-head things could be anything, wig holders, whatever. He should wear a suit jacket with flames, or embroidered nipples, just because. Hey free comic book day is May 5 this year, one day after Spidey 3 in the US check it out freecomicbookday.com
-
...would make an excellent Harley if she could lose most of that Southern accent. If you watch Freeway, you can see a little bit of Harley in Vanessa. Plus her and Bale have worked together before. Any thoughts?
-
and play Harley Quinn also!!! You heard it here first! Unless somebody already said it. Then I'm a stealer.
-
Yep, I read that Sarah Michelle Gellar will be Harley Quinn. To me that's absolutely PERFECT.
-
...and my face for the role of her primary target. :)<p>If I had never seen these pics, my life would be no different whatsoever. I don't want a TRADITIONAL Joker from Nolan and Ledger, but at least wait until the guy gets on set and finishes getting his makeup done.
-
No doubt in my mind.
-
cause of the cloud passing by over head ...!!<br> <BR>G.D. Clouds.
-
I think Ledger will be able to play the Joker just fine. I'm looking forward to the first trailer/teaser just to see him in action and how he sounds. Still really don't think Harley's going to be in the movie (unless there's a Dr. Harlene Quinzel appearance) so why all the speculating? Oh yeah... Anna Farris for Harley. Dammit...speculation.
-
Very intriguing...maybe they are part of Joker's collection or something? Anyway, Heath looks spot-on in that photo.
-
Search your feelings...you know it be true.

I thought this site was about inside news, sneak peeks, scoops and other info from rebels and guerilla cameramen who want to feed an ever curious mass of geeks who crave information that the studios aren't ready to give us yet. This is the same site, that, months before batman begins was released, posted a cheap, low quality amateur shot video of batman sitting atop a sky scraper which was shot from the top of a different skyscraper. You could barely see anything. Just enough to go "uh... yeah, I guess that is batman" but it was still cool. Whatever, aintitcoolnews. Regardless of the low quality joker pics, from what you can see, he looks like a bad joker, still. I read online somewhere (NOT ON THIS SITE) that they intend to have him with GREY skin with SCARS. I think that's a bad choice for the super literal, overly expositive christopher nolan. The next movie, I predict is gonna be 2 hours of explaining how batman's boots work. We'll see one of the factory workers who made a set of his boots. Follow him home to his sick wife. Then there will be a 20 minute setup on the system batman uses to defecate inside the suit. And any other things that ruin the image and ground something that's supposed to be mysterious and fantastical.
-
Scarlett would be nice; I can definitely see that. Witherspoon was the first one to pop in my head though, so it's going to be hard to get past her. Plus she's just so spunky and adorable. I guess it would just depend on which way they would go with if the character (if they even use her).
-
Riddler - Edward Nortan Bane - Vin Diesel Poison Ivy - Jenna Fischer Talia Al Ghul - Rachel Weiss Penguin - Bob Hoskins The Bookworm and King Tut... maybe I'll cast them later.
-
I always thought that Slugworth from Willy Wonka looked like the Clock King. But I guess he's too old or dead or something by now.
-
Here's to hoping that it's just a wonderful Batman v Joker film. Grey skin and scars. Kind of sounds like the last time Grant Morrison wrote the Joker in his current Batman run. If he looks anything like that in the movie it'll be pretty damn creepy.
-
Why all the bitching about not posting the picture? you know, an organization is allowed to grow and mature, and that can mean raising it's standards. I mean, all this "well you WOULD'VE posted it years ago" is like if your parents called you and said, "You know, when you were two you used to shit your pants all the time. But not so much lately. How come?"
-
Robert Downey Jr.,Jason Patric, Michael Imperioli, Alexander Siddig, Matt Damon, Jason Lee, Sam Rockwell, Ewan McGregor, Daniel Craig, John Cusack, Viggo Mortensen, Jim Caveziel, Colm Meaney, Brad Pitt, Kevin Kline and Edward Norton all weren't available? Blow, Gabriel, Blow.
-
If anyone has seen "Drive" (the Mark Dacascos movie, not the new show) she plays a perfect cute/slightly unhinged/hysterically excited character that is only a hair away from the Harley of Batman the Animated Series.
-
That would have been right on casting for the Clock King. I suppose they can always go with Joel Grey now?
-
...but wasn't Harley Quinn created for the Animated Series? I thought that she appeared there first.
-
Yeah! I had to look him up on imdb but that guy would work.
-
It looks like Nolan wanted to get 1 week shoot done in chicago pretty secretly and then continue back to london without showing any image of the joker... <p> I seen the photo but I'll hold my judgement until we get an official pic... Who knows when that'll be...
-
THIS IMAGE http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/9922/heathledgerjokeryy7.jpg I AM SICK OF THAT ONE. AS FOR THE ONE POSTER YOU KEPT GETTING, LOOKS LIKE F-ING PRINCE!!!! THAT SUCKED!
-
http://www.screamteam.com/newpage/jesterrusty4.jpg
-
that would be hella dizzumb
-
lmao... exactly... this is a waste of space... but exactly.

They should have left the Joker out of the new movies.
by ExcaliburFfolkes
There is no way anyone could ever top Jack Nicholson's performance.
-
That looks like something from Killer Clowns from Outer Space.
-
Where are the non Flikr links of the photos?
-
Michelle Williams.
-
Patrick Stewart for Mr. Freeze, definitely. I think SMG would be great for Harley; great voice, good look matching up with Heath Ledger. I think Rose McGowan might be a good Poison Ivy....I'd love to see Huntress or Batgirl, but I don't have a clue who to cast for them.
-
Next time, just link to the site and comment on the pics. AICN needs to stop this "we got it first, but passed", bullshit. The longer the excuse, the more holes in the argument.
-
There is no Harley Quinn you dicks. The continuity hasnt even got to Robin yet never mind Quinn. So leave it be. The killer photos we are looking for is: 1 The Joker in full regalia .2: The modified "Tumbler" (more tank or more NASCAR?)3 Changes in the Batsuit? Hope not. The suit is perfect has it is.4 Shot of Harvey Dent towards the end of the shoot. Remember Dent gets disfigured by The Joker at his trial. And thats the next movie. so again stop phucking ranting about Quinn, she a shit character compared to the main Rogues Gallery.
-
more make-up put on so that might not be how he actually looks.
-
I'm hoping that there's a scene in the movie where Batman realizes that the armor is holding him back. Cut to the scene of grey spandex-like material.
-
Clearly he's not "made-up" in full costume in that photo. I have complete faith in Nolan to get this right. "Everybody Chill"
-
Right now I'm stoked about Spider-man. Face it, we're not going to get any real news about Batman for months yet.
-
If he resembles Kozi of Malice Mizer and Eve of the New Church. Now he pulled off the clown look without looking stupid. http://tinyurl.com/2rqrl5
-
that would be just fine. The Batman is better alone.
-
I can understand from the quality after seein them of deciding not to post...but to agree with some of the other posts, that is one of the points of the site, right? Besides the reviews, we come to get the scoops. To see those first pics here as opposed to somewhere else. That excitement of seein it first and talkin back w/fellow geeks over any scrap. Now, for the judgement based on what I could see...I like that his jacket is not too loud & overstated & cartoony. It looks like some mental patient just decided to paint his face & be a clown...which is how it should look. I know you can't see much (at first I even thought the open mouth was a goatee) but I trust Nolan & co's judgement on a realistic take. I loved the first one, so I'm hopin we see the character in that same grounded realm. As long as he's a real crazy person and not some wisecracking loon w/a big mallet that has a boxing glove that pops out...I'll be happy w/it.
-
The judges would also except Sarah Michelle Gellar, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Katee Sackhoff, Nana Visitor, Jeri Ryan and Sarah Clarke.
-
Did I read that Nolan's take on the Joker might not necessarily have him in the clown white skin? It looked like Ledger had died green hair, some powder on his face and black lipstick. Not exactly what I would EVER want the Joker to look like, but hopefully this pic was pre-makeup.
-
everytime someone else scoops you you have spin it and brush it off
-
Do you like what I there? Anyway, I would like to keep Batman films free of shitty vampire slayer actresses. I can understand the love for her I guess. I mean, my wife likes her...but she's a girl.
-
C'mon man, I'd say that Adam West and Bale have slightly different body types. In other words, Batman won't have a beer gut. Plus I think the dark grey works pretty well if there's a lot of black to go with it ala the cape/cowl/goves and symbol. As far as the tumbler, I believe they're going to Shumacher it and throw on a lot of dayglow lamps.
-
are we sure they are for the goons?<p> What if Joker is trying these on in some scene before he becomes disfigured? <p> Just a thought.
-
When I sa the pictures I felt probably the same way you did, sort of "Yay" and then immediately followed by "Argh!". But I really think its up to AICN to print the story they have, not the story they want. And this is quite a story. Especially since an oficial studio pic could be months away from fruition. So just for the record if think is all ya got, print it. It may be frustrating but it sort of adds to the suspense.
-
and in full make up! jeesh! get with the program!
-
She is a worse actress than Jessica Alba, and Alba's pretty piss-poor. Gellar has never gotten over her soap opera training, and she still acts like she's on daytime TV somewhere between Judge Judy and the six o'clock news, with her only serious competition being Susan "didn't get a daytime emmy because she's a really crappy actress and not because she was being snubbed" Lucci. Please, leave everyone and everything that has anything to do with Buffy out of a Batman movie. There are better, cuter, more nimble minxes out there. I don't think I could take a couple hours of Gellar's horrible voice.
-
It was on comingsoon.net a while back, but Ledger said something about how the Joker would be more like Alex in A Clockwork Orange, that kind of crazy. Which I think is awesome personally, more crazy than funny, but sorta goofy nonetheless. Retorts?
-
Sure he's just not pastey? I guess I don't see the rest of the make-up from my computer but he seems awfully flesh-toned.
-
April 20, 2007, 10:29 a.m. CST
I can see Harley Quinn's reflection in Ledger's eyes
by Boondock Devil
No really. You just have to look really really close and turn it upside down.
-
Erogenous nipples on Gay-Cowboy-Joker Suit.
-
Cyanide Christ has shitty typing skills. Also, thanks to ZeroCorpse for backing me up on the Gellar issue. I don't see how she still gets work. Buffy is a terrible show in my opinion but I guess someone (13 year old girls) likes it.
-
I read somewhere that about 10 tumblers had been built for the film and are just sitting in a warehouse somewhere, which says to me that it's gonna get blow up at some point? Modifications afterwards? We’ll see...
-
....well someone had to say it!
-
Guy's already unhinged, just set him off and roll 'em...
-
As is the case with some other shitastic films tha tare coming up.
-
It just pisses you off to think what might've been. As far as I'm concerned Jack's verions of Joker back in the day was kind of goofy in my opinion. I love Superman ,but to me Hackman was not the definitive Luthor. I guess what i'm saying is that i'm really interested to see where Nolan's going with this. Batman Begins was an out of the park knock out on all levels, this new film can only be better.
-
Joker is not a sloooooooooow talking sloooooooow moving moron.
-
I totally understand you're not wanting to see these photos, and that you'd prefer to see something clearer. But this is Batman and I can't be patient. Besides, I think there's enough to talk about from these photos, and really suggests some interesting things about the Joker, and maybe his henchman too. I am hoping the Joker does have some sort of real, exaggerated smile, with the help of make-up, and not just from these clown masks. I've heard the Joker will be facially "scarred" in this film. I didn't think they would go with the green hair, but glad that they are. And his skin seems kind of pale and creepy. Something is going on wth the mouth/lips, but hard to make out what exactly. The masks will be for the Joker and his gang. I think the character will be impish, creepy and intimidating, and that Ledger will pull this off no problem. Adrian Brody couldn't do this; physically he looks a bit like the comic Joker but the film needs someone who can match Christian Bale in terms of size and presence.
-
I think I nearly busted a gut laughing at that rant...
-
I'm stoked for this film and can't wait for that first officially picture of Joker for all of us to drool over. Nolan said that this Joker is going to be a lot scarier so there is nothing to worry about, folks. Regarding Robin, I agree, Batman works better alone and Nolan has laughed at questions regarding Robin saying right now - in the film's continuity - Robin is still pretty much an infant.
-
I keep hearing people say that Ledger can't pull off a truly manic character on screen. HE ALREADY HAS! Seriously, go pick up the Lords of Dogtown. He plays Skip, the bizzar, strung out, manic founder of the Zepher Skate team. I didn't recognise him until 1/2 way thru the film. I couldn't imagine him as Mr. J until I saw him in Lords, but it made me a believer. Also, has anyone heard anything about the surgically altered smile the Joker may sport in this flick?
-
Thanks. Nothing like a well executed fart diatribe to start my morning off. Cause you know, farts are fucking funny.
-
"I’d rather wait a few weeks and see what Warner is going to come up with as an official image"
-
'Nuff siad
-
It looks like he's not in complete makeup. Blurry those pics may be, but I can see some brown hair under the green and I'm guessing a wig will go over that. He's also missing Joker's lipstick, eyebrows, etc. Or maybe he's in complete makeup but their shooting a scene where he is creating the Joker personna? Who knows what the fuck is going on... but I wanna see the official studio glamour shots, too. These aren't really worth looking at.
-
He's an actor you see...
-
Really lame. Leger off set with green hair. Oh boy. I think you made the right move. Wait until there are real pics of ledger on set with full makeup.
-
This kind of self-important diatribe drives me up a wall. Of course we all in part read AICN for the commentary, but first and formemost, we want the inside scoop. It's *FUN* to have crappy spy photos. Dark Knight spy info should have nothing to do with Moriarty's battle with his inner-demons. This post is ridiculous. JoBlo and SHH beat AICN to awesome stuff pretty much daily these days. (Or AICN favors the studio and holds it back) Why we got a boring explanation *THIS* time, as opposed to all the others, is not clear to me.
-
Of this site? Tell you what, wait until Variety runs the Joker on the cover. Then print the pics. That way you'll have access to some top-quality photos. Also, don't review it until the special editition dvd comes out. That way you'll have had a chance to properly mull the movie over. In other news, can anyone recommend a good spoiler site for movies? There used to be one called AICN, but it doesn't seem to be running any more.
-
It seems as though they got scooped and Mori has fabricated some nonsense about how he knew about it earlier and *chose* not to report it. Bah. Just admit it. People will respect you more.
-
...that despite his career success Mori is still enough of a geek to get defensive when somebody else beats him to the geek punch.
-
with the Joker. I love Ledger's stance in the photo, the hair, and his greyish face a'la early reports of the Joker's appearance. I wonder if there will be scarring too? Can't wait for the official photos.
-
That is, if you're a smoker like the good Doctor.

Where can I see the photos other than that damn Flickr link?

Ledger is SERIOUSLY losing all of his hair. They might as well have gotten Nicolas Cage. Hell, at least Cage looks more like the Joker and has tons of experience playing crazy! Hiring a guy whose most memorable role is playing a gay sheepherder is — pardon the pun — a JOKE.
-
If there is a scene where Joker is running from Batman and randomly gunning down innocent bystanders, that will put me very close to absolute happiness.

no different than other spy pics...just more blurry...
by just pillow talk
I think I'm in higher anticipation of this movie than Spidey 3...
-
Dude.. Geller would rock as Harley ... she is not a bad actresss, she just has been making extremely poor movie choices lately. She needs to do this or give Joss a call... cuz her career is going doooown fast...
-
bat-man on film is reporting this.
-
...as my lap dog. <p> And nope, that's not the Joker.
-
i thnk there's a little too much praise for batman begins. Artisitically it was great but frankly some of the shots were done way too tight with way too many edits. I felt like i was gonna get a siezure in the last fight sequence with all the closeups and edits. I have always disliked Heath Ledger. I thnk he's an overated actor and quite frankly a snob (if u remember he was once rumored attached to spiderman but thought it was beneath him). The joker is not a "pretty boy". I just don't see how he can pull it off plus he was WAAAAAAY overated in brokeback mountain.
-
Hate to be the first one to bring it up.
-
...that those pics are shit and all, but they are a helluva lot better than other pics that have been posted here as news. I remember such classic images as a streetlight on a street from Spiderman 2. I mean COME ON!
-
A much as the look matters, I'm more looking forward to the laugh. The first teaser will never show the Joker. Picture Batman, Harvey and the Commish talking about the Joker, car chase shots, Dent in the courtroom, an explosion or 4, the new batcave/batmobile/batsuit... then the fade to black with the sound of the Joker laughing. Just hearing the laugh would be as good as any picture right now.
-
.....are the photos?
-
to me i give props to the photographer. it seems warner bros put up that giant blockade, so no one could see heath. YET this sniper photographer found a spot somehow, and must have had to sit there and wait for heath to come out. that alone gets points. as for the way he looks, he looks like joker. green hair, white skin. i PRAY they fix the fight scenes in this movie, because the first movie was shot too close, and you missed all the kung fu, ruining all the choreography work.
-
that Raimi just confirmed that there will be a Spidey 4,5 and 6?
-
that Raimi just confirmed that there will be a Spidey 4,5 and 6?
-
MARVEL not RAIMI confirmed Spiderman 4+. Huge difference.
-
The Dark Knight is my most anticipated film at the moment and even I was unimpressed by them. This is such a nonstory.
-
She's got the look, the body and most importantly the TALENT! Just look at her role as Winifred on Angel and then the complete and utter change as Illyria. Bonus, she isn't too huge a star to demand alot for a smaller role.
-
like moriarty said the flippen image is to blurred to make out any detail other than the fact he has green hair. The flippin masks are not for the joker they are for his henchman. I am sure everyone saw the bank shots and school bus through the wall. They also have photos up of like four men wearing those masks presumably robbing the bank with the joker. BOF also has some eyewitness acounts that Heath is also wearing a clown mask but takes it off and doesn't have any makeup in the bank. Flashback? most likely... Nolan loves to use flashbacks. I think he does it really well. I have complete faith in Nolan. His treatment of Batman has been respectful and serious and i happen to fucking love that. All we can do now is speculate but don't anyone get their panties in a twist over blurred images. I am with Moriarty on this one. If you really need to see the pics like i did, you simply click the motha fuckin link.

Yeah, they're not very exciting and my first impression

is that he looks a lot like the Nicholson Joker.

Those photos sure are clear.

Robert Langdon is this the Angels and Demons set?
-
...that this is AFTER he (physically) becomes the Joker?
-
Isnt it whats on the inside that counts?
-
and if I recall, Emily blunt just missed out on the rachel dawes role. Which Maggie Gyllenhall got. Either way they both auditioned for the movie and emily blunt got cast as a different chracter.
-
The general concensus is that "Batman Begins" was a good movie... right? I thought I was (for once) in the majority about liking a comic book movie. Am I STILL in the minority here?
-
Calm down troll. All I said was he confirmed it, not that he was the first to do so.
-
His issue is that just saying that "Raimi confirmed it" implies that Raimi is confriming HIS involvement... which he has not done. Just because Marvel and the studio are going to continue the series (is that really news? we all knew THAT... the series is a major cash-cow)doesn't mean Raimi and his leads are.
-
I haven't seen Raimi "confirm" it anywhere, just Marvel. Tiny url it if he "confirmed" it.
-
EXACTLY. I thought a little common sense/reading between the lines wouldn't be difficult. I was wrong though :-(
-
The paparazzi who tookshots of Spears's cooter got paid..So did the dude who took these get paid or did he just give em away?Could he have got paid? There is an outlet, for this type of shit but I doubt Latino review ,etc would couch up the cash.
-
Since you like arguing semantics so much read the headline on this one... http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=5536 Troll your way out of that one douche.
-
I never said he confirmed his involvement, all I said is that he confirmed that there will be a Spidey 4, 5 and 6. Anyone can confirm something to be true, it's not a verb exclusively used by the first person/group who did the confirming.
-
Wow, what a confirmation. Should be on the front page of every film site on the planet. Raimi must be knees deep in reworking all three scripts and wrapping up principal as we speak..... Your original post was meant to be conveyed as "Raimi working on Spiderman 4, 5 & 6!?!?!" Raimi "confirming" 4, 5 & 6 is hardly news. OF COURSE the studios are thinking of future Spiderman's
-
But do you have a blurry photo of him confirming it?
-
http://tinyurl.com/2w6ux2
-
If it said that Raimi was directing all of them, then it might be a reason for it to be mentioned on this site. Just because the studio is going to do them whether or not the best director for the job might not have anything to do with it isn't really very cool at all.
-
"Your original post was meant to be conveyed as "Raimi working on Spiderman 4, 5 & 6" I guess you don't understand how to read. I said he confirmed that there will be a Spiderman 4, 5 and 6 and yes, that is news. A confirmation means that it's a go. That's a far cry from speculating that there will be more. The only confirmation that the studios were going ahead with a Spider-Man sequel is that a 4th was greenlit, not a 5th and 6th.
-
It is not speculation. There has been zero doubt that the studio is going to continue the series. They've said so numerous times in the past. And this isn't even the first time that Raimi has said that they are. Every time someone asks him if he's going to continue the series he says something to the effect of "the studio is going to continue the series, but I still don't know if I'll be involved". So again... no, that is NOT news.
-
Alright. Someone has to be the honest one and just say what we are all thinking. <p> </p> Harley Quinn needs to be played by whatever actress can/will show up in that month's issue of Playboy in just a jester's cap. <p> </p> ;)
-
"There has been zero doubt that the studio is going to continue the series." I guess you haven't been keeping up with the news then. The president of Sony Pictures a while back said she wanted the 3rd to wrap up the current story arc because they were unsure that they were going ahead with a 4th. Now, you can say of course they are going ahead with another film (and I would agree that they would be fools not to), but your speculation isn't news, what the people who are involved with it say IS.
-
If you look close, looks like he's got prison garb on (blue shirt), must be filming the court scene where Two-Face is "created" by the Joker. Looks like his eyebrows are shaved off as well. The lips look very swollen and red. Still, I'd like to see this someday: http://tinyurl.com/3dexrj

Brittany Murphy for Harley, and fuck patch-work clothes
by iamnicksaicnsn
The Joker needs to look badass and slick in a crazy suit. Not stupid in patchwork clothes.
-
Zhang Ziyi would make a good BATGIRL. Jude Law would be a fantastic RIDDLER. Scarlet might be a decent original BATGIRL, but I'm not sure she can be tough enough. Martin Short would be the perfect MAD HATTER. Patrick Stewart as the CLOCK KING, or MR FREEZE (the best Mr Freeze was the deathly serious one from the Animated Series, Stewart has got it in spades). OR Ben Kingsley as MR FREEZE, or the CLOCK KING. Or Jonathan Pryce for the VENTRILOQUIST or the CLOCK KING. I would definitely like to see Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as BANE. Andy Serkis would be a good PENGUIN. Angelina Jolie for CATWOMAN or possibly POISON IVY. Actually, Diane Lane, or someone similar could work as POISON IVY. Michael Massee as ZSASZ. Will Arnett for CLAYFACE. Mickey Rourke as KILLER CROC. James Spader as BLACK MASK. If we're really reaching for characters, Brad Pitt as HUSH.
-
This Spidey thing is starting to remind me of the "Gator fans never call/Well, I'm calling now" running gag in 'Big Trouble'. <p> </p> Anyhoo... Wow! That pic of Heath sure is blurry, huh? Does it even qualify as news? Maybe. Perhaps we should jump at all the leaks, it's fun! And what is up with those clown heads? Do you think Heath is the dude for this? I sure {insert opinion here}. You know who would be really good as the Joker? {Insert name here} he/she would rock! Oh, and what's the deal with Emily Blunt? Isn't she playing {insert charachter here}? <p> </p> Did I summarize that well enough? I miss any high points? Are we back on track?
-
that "There will be many more Spider-Man films to come" That statement is ambiguous to how many more there will be. Raimi confirms that there will be three more. Not many more, three more. You know, details are pretty important, they are news.
-
I don't know the specifics, just pointing out the shirt and guessing, sounds like you know what's up, respect Not sure what I think about the look, though I am sure a great deal will emerge from the acting, hopefully it won't be as dull and clunky a film as the first one
-
word, just wanted to point that out, I don't claim to know anything
-
make a great Harley, she has an infectious personality and a grin to die for... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
-
...is going to rule. And as Two-Face...well that remains to be seen. Yeah, Joker needs to be lean and mean, but Nolan's got everything going for him...and if the script is as good as they're saying it is...I don't know how it could get any better. I can't wait!
-
That has nothing to do with Joker - that's just somebody on the set right after having woken up from a long nap....
-
Oh, and Michael Emerson ('Ben' in "Lost") as the Riddler. Mega-fame is overrated.
-
Shazam!
-
if there are any, please let them be actual scenes with actual moments, not just unintelligible shots strung together, I still cringe when I see that shot from "Begins" after first scene with batman and he has beat up and bunch of baddies, you just see his foot lift and it looks so bad, Batman would never move like that in my opinion
-
Oh snap.
-
are better than those of Burton's Batman. Those were comical. Oh look, Batman is trying to do a kung fu move...karate chop! I think they work the way they are done here, showing them to be close, brutal, and not neat and concise. With the warehouse scene, they tried to show him as someone who just picked them off one by one, quick hitters. Someone who actually installed fear into the bad guys. After all, Bale is no Jet Li.
-
That's a great bit of casting there. He's definitely squirrelly enough for it.
-
So they really did go with the green hair after all huh? Wow. Y'know, when you consider how Batman Begins ended, and how the Joker's origin begins, it only makes sense to suspect that the Red Hood character is being replaced with a skull-clown character. Otherwise, there is a break in the continuity of the two films. Regarding Joker's look, I'm a little impressed. I must admit, I had been worried that he really would be in tatters throughout the film. But seeing him in a long black trench coat with a blue shirt underneath reassures me that we do not have to fear seeing the bare-footed monstrosity featured in the newest animated versions. Now, the seemingly long hair in the photo does trouble me a little bit. Whenever I think of what a perfect translation on film would look like, I remember http :/ / ww w.alexross.c om/ CP1273_Tango_with_Evil.j pg
-
As "Pedestrian #347"!!
-
i wasn't wholly satisfied with Burton's nor Nolan's, a good fight scene should be integrated to the overall story with a high degree of suspense and dynamics, and somehow I feel the outcome should affect the characters in some way, sorry I just thought they were flat and meaningless in "Begins", and the choreography was incoherent, ideally, I am thinking of a scene like the flying wing scene in "Raiders"
-
Why is he still cast in films? And yeah, someone needs to make sure Nolan has learned how to film fight scenes.
-
Care for another swim in the Joel Shumacher style cesspool.Wouldnt you rather have a Deadshot or a Twoface or a Clayface?
-
That was the problem with 1989 Batman, Jack Nicholson played Jack Nicholson. Crispin only knows how to play Crispin. I would keep expecting him to call Batman, Biff. Ledger will actually disappear into the character and subsume himself. That is what needs to happen.
-
but I do understand why a lot of people have a problem with the fight scenes. I will be curious to see how he approaches them in this movie and if they are using the coordinators/choreographers in Dark Knight...
-
I think that Quinn could be pulled off in a way that is not "nipples on the Batsuit". If they portray the character as someone who sympathizes with the Joker having studied him at Arkham and leave it at that then it could work. I am not in favor of having her bouncing around all slapstick style but I would like to see her as a serious character who becomes more and more obsessed with the Joker.
-
He may look good as a particular incarnation of the Joker, but he just flat out does not have the chops for the roll. Can you imagine:<P>"Hey! Hey...you. I can kick!"<P>Yeah right. Thank the gods he is not in this film.
-
To answer your question, Ed, for myself: No, I can live w/o her in this series of films. HOWEVER, this is the sort of thing geek fueds can explode over. To many, she has become an integral part of modern 'Joker lore' and they feel strongly about her being there. Others see her as an animated interloper. Me? I don't really care one way or the other. But the weekend is upon us and my wife will be out of town... and, well... Putting various actresses in that outfit is a nice little refill on the old 'spank bank'. ;)
-
He looks perfect! He has a really weird twisted smile this guy, he doesn't even need the makeup! I hope they don't pull another Green Goblin on us and cover the actors perfect- for-the-role-face with too much makeup.
-
Those shots aren't very clear.
-
I think people are quick to make their drean cast based only on appearance. Hell, I've done it myself. You have to look at their acting skills. The only time that I can think of where casting was done on looks first that worked was Patrick Stewart as Prof. X. But everybody knew that was going to work.
-
I garuntee theres more to the costume, i think the hair is great.

So basically "there are pictures going around of a popular character from a popular franchise. but they're not good pictures. so we're not running them but here's a link so you can see them." Or you could run them with the same caveat: "These came in and they're not good but if we didn't run them you'd want to know why the other place had them first." I'd say running them with the critique would be simpler - but only really easier for the user by one click, so it's no big deal either way. *** I don't care who plays the Joker as long as his voice is dubbed in by Laurence Fishborne.
-
Im excited to see the new batflick and but..without the Mack's constant whining, its just not the same.
-
They're going to color his skin grey, his hair green, dress him up like a typical top-dog thug complete with trench coat, and leave it at that. No way does falling into a vat of chemicals elongate your chin and break only a few muscles in your face. It's quite obvious in the photo that he's not going to have that ridiculous permanent grin on his face from Batman 1. Remember, Nolan's trying to keep this series as realistic as possible. Things like men turning into bats, acid eating away at people's faces but only turning their hair white, grey spandex, women capable of giving sentience to plantlife, and little boys in brightly colored "I'm right here, shoot me" outfits just is not going to happen in this series.
-

The other day I could have sworn I saw a TalkBack post from someone called "SpocksKidney" with links to these exact same pictures hours before the story broke on AICN. But now all his posts seem to be deleted so I guess I was just hallucinating.

Raimi confirmed in May of 2005 that Sony intends to make 6 Spiderman pictures and that he will work on them if he is excited about them. There is nothing new here. Sony has said they planned to do six pictures since after the release of the first Spiderman. Tobey MacGuire recently opined that he might be involved in Spiderman 4, if the "right factors" where in place, which likely means a zillion dollar paycheck.

How the hell did that happen? Swear to Gosh, did not hit the button twice. Well, piss on a pickle.

Heath Ledger is a no talent tool. He's going to suck as the Joker.

That might not even be Heath Ledger - could be a body double - could just be some screen test make up. Chill out people. Nolan knows what he's doing! Sit down, watch Batman Begins again and chill the f*ck out.

I don’t understand why so many of you are busting my balls for providing information that I read on superhero hype today. Just trying to spread the joy that we are getting three more Spidey films (for sure, not just maybe, we could we might). If it wasn’t news, a credible source for movie news like Crave (which I might add is repeatedly referenced on AICN) wouldn’t post it.

i love your writing but jeez man,no need for a soulsearching speech for those grainy images...i cant see ledger as the joker...but at least his receding hairline looks the part.the masks looks nice and creepy.it will be good.but too long to wait.

...as if she's in the film. She's not. And if she was I don't understand how anyone could want any actress other than Brittany Murphy. I can't think of an actor that matches any role more perfectly than she matches Harley. I could live with Witherspoon and Geller but when people are suggesting Fairuza Balk and Scarlett Johansson it makes you wonder if they even know who Harley Quinn is.
-
Solidarity, Brother! You made the right call for all the right reasons. Perfect.

But you just did it... and please, Anna Faris is more than capable. Fairuza Balk is kind of scary to me.

-
Another totally underrated character in batman's rogue gallery. Fuck clayface, lets see some freakin firefly... you know it would be kick ass with fucking explosions going off everywhere and things being set on fire. Batman would have a hard time dealing with him for sure.
-
hrmmmm?
-
it looks like some teenage joker and he doesn't look evil at all in it. He looks goofy and pathetic.
-
and has sour grapes. Pansy.
-
...I guess I did. You got me there dude.
-
I could see Firefly being a future villain in a series like this. Some others that I could see are the Penguin (as a 2nd class villain, anyway); Catwoman (1st class); Poison Ivy (a 1st class villain if they re-imagine her character as that of a environmentalist extremist with a degree in making poisons, who's body is infected with a spore that she created herself [a la Dr. Octopus] that slowly drives her batty); Talia al Ghul (2nd or 3rd class); Harley Quinn (what can I say? she's great as Joker's love); Bane (1st-class, possibly 2nd); (By the way, it's a surprise to me that NOBODY seems to have noticed Victor Zsasz's cameo in BB. He's a 3rd-class villain, but it was still nice to see him in a movie.)
-
She's hot. She's got this big ol crazy smile. She can act mischievous.
-
and the cartoon he rode in on
-
Haven't read any Batman since the early 90's, but even then was only a casual reader.
-
A serial killer who cuts marks into himself every time he kills. That one dude with the cuts scars all over his neck and stuff in Arkham, that was him.
-
Joker and then when Batman gets his sidekick, Joker gets his.
-
and have all of Batman's B-listers show up there.
-
Which could either be visually entertaining or very 90s. I am hoping they don't try to make the Joker too obviously sick and make him more on the psychological side of things. This does not need to head into slasher movie territory.
-
Some may know him as Claude from *Heroes* or the 9th Doctor from *Doctor Who*, but that actor would be the picture perfect cinematic version of The Joker. Warner Bros., there's still time, just as there was for Universal back on *Back to the Future* when they dumped Eric Stoltz in favor of Michael J. Fox even though they were already filming.
-
Joker (as normal guy) commits crimes using a clown mask and leaves behind a Joker card as his "calling card." When he encounters Batman, he'll fall into the vat of chemicals with the mask on. When he rips the mask off, escaping the chemicals, he will reveal the Joker face we know and will still leave his Joker calling card behind. Sort of RED HOOD but with a clown mask instead.
-
She's not shaped like Harley Quinn from the toon or the comics. If there's any actress from the Whedonverse to cast for that role - or just about any other female comic role - that would be Charisma Carpenter. Heck, if you want an actress with the right mouth for the role - but wrong accent - I'd say Billie Piper. Although my preference would be for Kate Winslet or Jemima Rooper. As for Talia Al Ghul, that role better go to either Monica Bellucci or Rachel Weisz, with Bellucci preferred. As for the "Jokerz" from BB, they always gave me a Club Kids vibe.
-
blurry..yes, but a close look shows some good things <p> Green hair- check <P> Purple suit- Check <P> Blue shirt and thin bow tie- Check <P> im glad they kept heaths long hair. always loved it when the joker got really nuts and his slicked back hair got all fuckn crazy.

Don't recall seeing anyone else post this one yet but its pretty cool... http://tinyurl.com/3a5mme

Here's all you needed to say: "We and some other fan sites have gotten some photos allegedly of Heath Ledger made up as Joker. If it's him-- which it might not even be-- he's not in makeup except for a little splash of green on his hair. Consequently, we are not going to bother putting up the lame-o shots which you will undoubtedly see hyped elsewhere. When someone has an actual shot, we'll let you know." That pretty much covers it without a bunch of wank about how much Joker means to you and how you thought about this as hard as NBC thought about airing Cho's manifesto.
-
The Prestige was fucking excellent, as was Batman Begins. There's a reason he cast Ledger, he found exactly what he wanted on seeing his audition. I wonder who else went for the role. Watching The Prestige I was wondering whether Hugh Jackman would have been able to do The Joker justice

Look at those boxes of masks...white faces all. He doesn't have his make-up done, but obviously, the green hair dye is something that can't come out everyday. It looks trashy and grungy. Like the Joker in a nightmare, a rapist Joker. I'm really looking forward to this now. I want to see a full head made up!

why not have Krypto in Superman Returns?
-
the cartoon. In fact I have on of Batman detective comics he was in called knightfall #6 1993. I think it was that underrated series where Bane breaks Batman's back. Which I think shows a testament to Bane's true evilness and powers as a #1 villain that was totally disgraced in shumaccer's 'batman and robin.' I mean firefly is worst kind of pyromaniac. He doesn't give a shit about batman, he just likes to burn things and blow things up. If that's not as crazy and cool as the joker I dont know what is. "The roar and crackle, The glorious light. It is all so...soothing"-firefly "Welcome to my inferno batman. Isn't it lovely?" -firefly
-
then firefly ever was. I dont remember any fucking comics with her in it before the fucking cartoon. Atleast firefly originated in the comics.

not the fucking comic books. So fuck harley quinn and the cartoon she rode in on.

One with Harley Quinzel talking to Bruce wayne and reeling off a list of names of people who will appear as villains in later movies, arkham looks like the prison in Silence of the lambs ie dark and Dingy. Alright, bravo for doing the right thing by not posting the images of The Joker, Mo. Seriously, having seen them elsewhere earlier in the morning, I can agree that these pictures only make me want to see a clear image of what Heath is going to look like quickly rather than having everyone and their mothers post the blurred image of Heath walking between trailers. And for those that don't like Heath as the choice for The Joker. No, I agree he hasn't played anyone close to as dark or crazy as The Joker is, but in all honesty, he physically fits the bill of the Frank Miller version of The Joker better than anyone else that had been mentioned. The Joker in Frank Miller's books was a monster of a man physically and mentally, and Heath isn't a small guy. Now I can't speak for his acting chops and how they'll be applied to the character, but everyone role he has taken along the way has done nothing but challenge him more and more as an actor and stretch his limits. Nolan and company know what they are doing. They know that the source material is considered some of the canon of superhero universe. They didn't screw up Batman Begins, which could have easily been done. That said, The Dark Knight is most highly anticipated movie of 2009 in my books, higher than Avatar and whatever else is planned.

I am assuming not. I love the designs in the cartoon, though.

I've seen the photos and they really do add an awful lot of fuel to the fire in the discussion about how Nolan is going to present the Joker.Personally I like the idea that it's "in the eyes",in that this is a guy you don't want to even make eye contact with he's so fucking nuts.Intersting as well that they may be going with the idea of him already being on the wrong side of the law as opposed to a patsy taht is pushed so over the edge he doesn't so much as crack as shatter.Certainly the fact that masks again will be used at the beginning may hint at a mask as something Bruce CAN take off but after (whatever happens) Joker is maimed, disfuged he no longer needs his as he has no way to go back. Thus virtually unsavable. To my mond I think Nolan is going with the look of Miller's Joker from DKR.Wild hair, normal face-just white with lippy. It's certainly interesting-I understand not putting them on this site but surely everyone can admit there's a genuine thrill to seeing photos early.Even if they're crappy.I just want the Joker to be nuts and portrayed as someone you want to be NOWHERE near.I'll freely admit that I would like hime to have white skin and green hair. Why?Ahh,you know why!

if they bring in harley quinn they obviously want this to be like 'batman forever' or 'batman and robin'

from wanting to see a different take on the Joker. From descriptions I've read on other sites and what g4 had to say about him, it could be super badass. They're describing him as raggedy, with a scarred up face, having gray skin and being scary as shit. As long as he doesn't dance around in an art museum, I'm good. The purists will bitch, sure, but if they haven't learned by now they're tards.
