Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.

You just know this one’s going to be massively strange, and I can’t wait to see it.

In the meantime, here’s the trailer:

Hola Harry,

I’m sure that youve already seen this, but just in case...

    Japanese Roland?

    by randall flagg

Maybe not, but a Roland with subtle Asian features might be interesting. Anyways, that's what this made me think of.

Isn't this shot in English language....

    by mattyholmes

It's going to be very strange indeed, but it looks awesome. Those gun sounds are straight out of a Sergio Leone western!

    This looks ridiculous...

    by torture pwn

like every other thing Miike's ever done. How can someone who's movies have so much crazy shit going on be so fucking boring.

    Looks fun

    by mattapooh

But I agree with Torture PWN, I haven't ever been entertained by a Miike flick. They're over-the-top violent and crazy, but they're just boring! It's like Paul Verhoeven on acid without anything interesting going on. Also, I heard the Django theme song at the end of the traile and got a kick out of that.... the gunshots were also the same sound effect used in the Leone westerns, so I'm taking this as a cartoony, crazy little homage to the Spaghetti genre and nothing more.

    Looks amazing

At least somebody is trying to bring the Spaghetti Western back!
First the Adios Lobo trailer and now this ... long live the western.

Please dont compare Verhoeven to Miike.

This guy averages like five films a year

    by gozu

And out of them, at least one or two are freaking awesome. Generally, they challenge the archetypes of their respective genre and can really go in any direction, at any time.

    Miike's uneven...

    by harry weinstein

...but when he's good, he's golden. Usually the less splattery and exploitive films of his work better for me - anti-fanboy heresy, I know, but I was introduced to his stuff via BIRD PEOPLE OF CHINA and not the usual ICHI THE KILLER/DEAD OR ALICE/AUDITION route. This looks interesting, and I love the original DJANGO. For those of you having trouble finding a copy, Amazon has it and it's worth getting - the American release from Blue Underground is the definitive version available anywhere. Watch it in Italian with English subs - while I ordinarily wouldn't ever watch a Spaghetti Western that way, in this case the English dub is so bad on every level, from casting to acting to translation, that a bunch of cowboys and Mexicans all speaking Italian is the superior option by comparison.

    Dead or Alice?

    by fatpaul

Somebody should definitely make a movie called Dead or Alice. That would kick ass.

    Oh, that's awesome.

I try to keep the embarrassing typos to an absolute minimum. But that's fairly amusing and I suppose it's a typo I can be proud of.
