...but then I saw Scrubs on the list and just had to vote for it instead. Sorry.
-
VM is pure shit.
Oh, and SECOND! -
Is a dope. Vote VM!
-
Awesome title for what could be the last VM ep EVER!I doubt voting on E!'s site will help at all, but I'm a blind optimist that wants VM S4!!! ;DAlso isn't Scrubs actually ending this year as opposed to being cancelled? Don't Braff and the showrunner have other things instore and want to end the show on a high? Isn't that a wasted vote DerLanghaarige? Who knows! :P
-
No, they want to continue and even got new contracts, but are still in danger of cancellation (Like every season before.).
-
VM sucks. It's a way too cheeky show that speaks in ways no humans ever speak. I won't miss it being chopped.
-
Nuff said.
-
VOte for Veronica Mars!
( why the hell is the nine on there?) -
It worked for me. (My 2nd vote was for Veronica.)
-
See: Roman.
-
Karma...She is such a cruel mistress sometimes.
-
I vote either Veronca's mom (first time we see her since she stole Veronica's college money at the end of season 1) or Madison who Veronica had all kinds of drama with.
P.S. this show needs to come back in its current format or not at all since I HATE the FBI idea with an entirely new supporting cast set years in the future. -
I ended up choosing Gilmore Girls, though I think its return hinges more on Alexis Bledel resigning for another season than it does on the ratings or fan votes.
-
Scrubs 7th season should be no question. If NBC kicks it, ABC will take the show.
Studio 60 is getting cancelled anyway. :( -
It is one of the best shows on TV ever.
-
Vote for VM! PLEASE!
-
Friday Night Lights is one of the top 5 best shows on T.V, we need to save it.
-
...I don't know if I can vote to save it. I think Season 1 was one of the most amazing television shows since Buffy first began. Season 2 had some amazing PARTS but felt weaker in total. Season 3 has been pretty week so far as the show tries to change to find an audience but still keep the fans. This has NEVER worked ever in the history of television (that I know of) and only made the show feel uneven, watered down, or feeling uninspired. Nobody cares about whether or not Veronica or Logan will get married one day. What I DID care about was their messed up relationship from Season 1. Veronica Mars isn't supposed to be a 90210 rip-off or Dawson's creek with detective work. And I don't know if I would like VM if it DID come back as the FBI show they claim they want to do. I want VM to go back to Season 1 when it was loosely a noir dramedy. Have VM drop out of school to become a partner (or sole owner) of her dad's detective business. Bring back the class relation issues of Neptune. bring back the corruption and closet skeletons. Turning VM into an FBI show will strip away everything that made the show great and turn it into another crime show that is guaranteed to get lost in the already over-populated genre.
It pains me to say this, but VM needs to just end if those are the options. Take pride in what they accomplished, like Arrested Development did, and go out strong. -
Veronica Mars?! Come on Herc, you seemed like one of the few people that was supportive of S60 when it was on the air. It's one of the few quality shows on TV that's on the bubble and it's only because WB is producing it and NBC seems to only be supporting shows that they produce. Veronica Mars had its chance, but after three years it's time for it to go. Save Studio 60!
-
They've grown tremendously this 1st season.
-
That show had three GREAT years though.
-
Is a really great show, but I think it is safe. VM needs support. Really, it is possible that "Pussycat Dolls" will be picked up and this won't be. Sweet Jesus.
-
This talkback appears to have backfired.
-
Sorry, but Veronica ranks behind those two for me.
-
Sorry Herc. Its the best show nobody is watching. Gotta give it some love
-
And I feel no shame for voting that way.
-
It was a tough call for me between FNL and 30 Rock, but I gotta go with 30 Rock.
-
Voting to save a show that is not Friday Night Lights would just be a silly waste. It's one of the best shows on television and it will be a damn shame if this show doesn't get renewed. Damn shame.
-
No way am I going to try to save that pile over Scrubs.
-
It achieves what shows like Veronica and Gilmore (although very good) only hint at.
-
And if I want to learn a lesson at the end of a show, i'll watch Southpark. Save VM, there is nothing on television that compares.
-
It's the smartest and funniest comedy on television right now.
-
...but I'm afraid the pollbot will cancel both votes if it has a way of checking IP adresses. Anyone knows? By the way, I also voted first for 30 Rock, then VM. Not Scrubs, because I want a spin-off with the Todd and the Janitor. And maybe Jordan.
-
It's a fine show that unfortunately doesn't have the vocal cult following that some of the others have.
-
1st season awesome
2nd Season eh
3rd season awesome
Seriously, with Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon, Jeph Loeb and others singing the praise of this show how could you not at least vote for it once.
Plus Gilmore Girls has been on for 7 seasons (I've seen every ep) and is tired. viva Veronica! -
VM has become extremely watered down now that the CW wants stand alone mysteries and no arcs. The show is done. Let a knew show like FNL get more time to grow. It might not make cute geek references like "frak" that you losers love, it's still well acted and written. I know any show involving sports is like Kryptonite to you panzies.
-
..."Friday Night Lights" second. It's just the way it should be.
-
And I'm done, though I guess I wouldn't mind if they saved "Studio 60" and then made it good.
-
Scrubs might be coming back anyway, but for God's sake people, quit thinking with your easily-influenced penises. (Peni?) Kristin Bell is a cross-eyed Morgan Fairchild wannabe with a chest like a pirate's dream. (That's a 'sunken chest' for those of you who don't know that old joke.)VOTE J-DIZZLE AND CHOCOLATE BEAR! GUY LOVE FOREVER!!!!!!
-
'Scrubs' and '30 Rock' are safe. ABC has already stated that they'll probably pick up 'Scrubs' if it doesn't get renewed, and '30 Rock' is getting too much buzz to drop -- NBC will likely try to nurture it into an 'Office'-sized hit. So vote for 'How I Met Your Mother,' and keep the Barnacle alive.
-
Nobody watches it, give up!
-
... so I could vote for Scrubs. Veronica who? That show tongue kisses sweaty taint. Long live Scrubs.
-
There is nothing quite like it on Tv. A post Nuke heart warming family adventure drama. I just got to see were it goes second season....
-
Sorry to say, but the writing and stories have dramatically declined. Its time to end it before it gets worse.
-
It's Kendall Casablancas. Are we heard was the sound of bullets, Keith didn't go to investigate because he was busy hiding. If it's not her, then maybe it's Trina (Alison Hannigan, Yay) or the only other person Veronica can't stand to see. Lianne.
-
Whoever green-lighted that idot to sing on national television should be charged with crimes against audio humanity.
-
...but it wasn't even on the list, so VM ended up getting my vote. I watch Scrubs too, but how could you possibly watch both shows and find Scrubs better. It's just stale at this point and it probably should go. I know VM S3 isn't anything like VM S1, but it's still real enjoyable to watch Veronica and her dad interact. Beside, a station like NBC isn't going to be affected by a poll like this. It's a lot easier to sway the fledgling CW. Come on guys, help give it a fourth.
-
..and reality TV in general. But I am 100% behind votefortheworst.com and Howard Stern.VOTE FOR SANJAYA! DOWN WITH AMERICAN IDOL!
-
Any way of checking up on the results?
-
So there's a lot of time, still to vote.
-
best comedy on tv that isn't called "the office". the inside buzz is that everyone at the network adores it (wonder why), so it's most likely safe for at least a second year despite the disappointing ratings so far.
-
Aren't they all in danger of dying because the network has inherited UPN lameness instead of WB shallow-but-trendiness? I think America's Next Top Model and Smallville iare the only ones doing well (because apparently cheesy formulaic SV is better than Superman Returns in some kind of twisted 13-year-old mind's logic). I'd love for Veronica Mars to get more seasons, but to be honest, I've felt the shadow of doom ever since they forced them to change the openning theme. Despite the lack of a central mystery, I think this was a good season right up until they foolishly killed Sherif Lamb (though far too little Wallace and Mac for my liking). I'm prepared to hear the show is cancelled, for whatever DOES come back to be not quite as fun as the show was before all the network tampering. But as much as I'd like the show to keep going, I'm very concerned about 30 Rock. I just found this show, they cancel it and I will have blood!!!!!
-
She's the best.
-
What's all this talk about voting for 30 Rock, when did that show start being funny? Did Tracy Morgan leave? But as much as I love Friday Night Lights, Veronica Mars is the easy vote, I agree with Herc that it was the best show of last year.
-
apparently 30 rock isn't funny. i need to go change my vote. weird how i laugh constantly when it's on though. i should probably get that checked out.
-
hence, VM got my vote as well.
-
Friday Night Lights has a good chance of coming back, but nothing is official yet, plus it did a 3.9 last night, come on people get your friends to watch the show, it is the best thing on at 8 on Wednesday nights.
Jericho is looking like it will be gone unless it can get more viewers soon, but you never know. -
VW has been on the air for three years. 30 Rock has't even finished its first season. Fair's fair Herc!
-
friday night lights and veronica mars are overrated...
-
It's a lost cause..ALOT of better shows on the bubble right now worth saving!
-
Vote for Sanjaya. Pass the word. Those fuckers at Fox thought they'd have their fun for a few weeks, but now it looks like they're gonna have to go the pro wrestling route to get him off - as in fixing things. Sanjaya winning Idol will be a mortal blow to it and the reality genre as a whole. Do it for the children.
-
Frack 30 Rock. Let 'em renew Studio 60 first.
-
actually in danger of being canceled? It's the most consistently funny thing I have EVER seen on network TV. Ever. Barney will never get old. They're all just getting real cozy in the roles, too. Say it ain't so! Anywho, I voted for Mars despite the fact that this season has been fairly lame, because it really started to pick up towards the end with the Dean Murder arc, when she got PERSONALLY INVOLVED IN THE CASE. Which is always when VM is at her foxy best. I'm sure it will never be as good again as that magical first season, but I feel if Thomas had some support from the network he might be able to pull it out of the fire. Or not. They'll cancel it anyway, no matter how many votes it gets. People would rather see some whiny fucking cunts prance around and - what, sing? Is that what these 'pussycat dolls' do? I'm really not sure. I mean, they can't ALL sing, right? There's like 15 of the fuckers already! AND THEY'RE MULTIPLYING!! Save VM, Kill a Pussycat Tribble. If I want ass I'll go out to the bar.
-
Damn you Michael Bay
-
Isn't it just fucking sad we have to vote for any of these? I don't watch many, because I work nights and don't have Tivo, but Gawd! I've heard FNL is great, and it can't be that expensive cuz nobody in it is remotely famous. Fox made their name by picking up brilliant shows (Andy Richter, Arrested Development) and then not being able to sell any of them. NBCs problem is it gets good shows (FNL, 30 Rock, Studio 60) but it can't sell the network. Also, scripted TV suffers from that profitability illusion that newspapers do: they're really profitable, but its so easy to make them more profitable (by dumbing them down or replacing them with reality shows) networks are more inclined to do that. Greedy fatcats.
-
None of this will change of the minds of the execs bringing any of these shows back. That said, the only one which deserves to come back is "30 Rock." Veronica Mars has absolutely blown for the last two seasons, FNL is about a bunch of rednecks playing football, and Scrubs is well past its prime.
-
The only numbers the TV execs are looking at the ones following dollar signs, strongly influenced by the ones from AC Nielsen. Not some stupid internet poll with numbers that aren't verified.Oh, and if GG has to take a bullet for VM to survive, hand me the gun.
-
They want to see what people really like to watch. Most of these shows go up against each other in their slots. My god Veronica goes against House, 30 Rock started against Jericho. I do not watch Jericho but that crap is coming back. Bottom line, Veronica should leave as a cult and Kristen Bell can show up in someone else's show. She and everyone else.
-
I would as well. VOTE FOR VERONICA MARS. i have spoken.
-
I mean, I suppose it's a minor point, but I use to love the opening credits for season 1 and 2 yet I still find myself scratching my head at the crappy remix they did for season 3. Why would anyone force that on anyone?
You know, I would love to own one of these dinky networks, just so that I can approach any show runner, who's ever had a cult following and offer them the ability to do whatever they want with NO interference. That network would have the highest ratings by the end of the year. I would call the network "The CC" for cash cow. Management simply doesn't have the talent to make creative decisions. They should stop trying to kill the goose that laid the golden egg, sit back, collect their exorbitant salaries and leave everyone else alone. Then they can enjoy even more money. Go to Aruba, start a charity, and leave the workers alone.
-
It really is a clever, well-written show that does a good number of callbacks. The cast is great, and everything about it should make it the new "Friends", yet even better. Just wish it'd get some major Emmy recognition. I also started watching "The Class" after it, which I thought would be stupid, but it really grows on you, and has such a terrific creative force behind it. Both great shows, and apparently do well in the ratings. I love Veronica Mars, but some of the creative changes they've had to make this year have annoyed me. In all honestly, if I could only have one show return next year, it'd be Studio 60. Which seems to have the ratings, and the audience itself rooting against it for the most part.
-
Supernatural is such a great fucking show! The episodes are well written, the actors have great chemistry and the soundtrack is awesome. Fuck the CW for not promoting this great show better.
-
30 rock, studio 60, scrubs, supernatural, jericho, how i met your mother... all superior. but thanks for the heads up for the poll!
-
ABC has a deal in place to pick it up. Scrubs isn't in trouble.
-
You can vote once for each browser you have. Counting AOL, that was three VM votes from me. PS - don't tell the dweebs at E Online.
-
Well, I'd F' Veronica if I could. But if we're talking shows to save, I'm all over Studio 60.
-
the bitch is back is sweet title, why is jericho on that list?, fuck one tree hill, i hope supernatural also gets picked up, and FUCK YOU VERONICA MARS HATERS are all things that went through my head when voting.
-
but they're on cable -- FX on basic cable, and HBO on pay cable. The most acclaimed shows on these networks have the creative freedom, critical acclaim, and devoted audiences, but they still draw relatively small audiences -- but the financial numbers balance out.The broadcast networks have to play by different sets of rules. Shows like VM aren't in danger of cancellation because of the creative side, it's the business side that kills them. *Small* audiences, low ratings, not enough advertising to offset the production costs. It's not like the CW has a boatload of quality projects that they can't wait to put on the air to take VM's slot. They don't. Crap like the Pussycat Dolls show get air time because they're cheaper to make, and to add insult, draw larger audiences.
-
Gilmore ended last season. It is finished. VM should be put out of its misery because RT cannibalized his own show in the service of fan service. Bye, bye, VM. Now, people! Let the scales fall from your eyes. Or else get contacts. FNL is stinky poo-pooh. Seriously. If I have to listen to the coach and his wife have one more "dialogue" that is improvised, where they're tripping all over their tongues and sounding just like each other and, hey, like a couple of students in an L.A. acting class, I will puke. And shaky cam, let me introduce you to Hill Street Blues. Finally, a little less reverence for the American heartland and a little more irony. Please.

How I Met Your Mother is the funniest show ever!
