The bizarre Jackie Chan/Jet Li flick has some new blood!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. A young fella by the name of Michael Angarano has been cast in the Untitled Jackie Chan/Jet Li flick. Angarano was absolutely fantastic in David Gordon Green's SNOW ANGELS, one of my Sundance favorites. You might remember him as Kurt Russell's kid in SKY HIGH or the young William Miller in ALMOST FAMOUS. I don't know about the rest of you... maybe this is common knowledge, but while I knew there was a Jackie Chan/Jet Li flick in the works I didn't know what it was about... I read the description at Hollywood Reporter... let's look at this...

Angarano will play a troubled 17-year-old wannabe kung fu warrior who, after a humiliating defeat at the hands of a street gang,...

Oookkaaayyy... maybe a little Karate Kid there, that could be cool...

... is sent back in time to ancient China on an impossible mission to set free the imprisoned Monkey King (Li) and return to him his all-powerful staff.

What the fuck!?! That sounds both fucking horrible and fucking amazing at the same time. I love those weirdo animal people period Asian movies. I seem to remember a good series starring Stephen Chow called THE CHINESE ODYSSEY. Those were so goofy, but goofy-fun... Anyway, Angarano is a good young actor, so hopefully this all comes together.
