STAR WARS EPISODE ONE Trailer Two will be with WING COMMANDER
Alrighty folks, I finally heard from my bug on the bottom of Bill Mechanic's desk, and heard that on the weekend of the 12, 13 and 14... that the guaranteed place to see the 2nd trailer for STAR WARS EPISODE ONE... well... It'll be attached to WING COMMANDER the movie. After that weekend it's likely to be distributed to all types of films, and as far as I know it won't be with CORRUPTOR... unless the theater cuts it off the print of WING COMMANDER and sticks it on CORRUPTOR. According to my little electronic monitoring device tuned into Mr Mechanic... if you wanna see it... go see WING COMMANDER. I guess we can expect a firm announcement from the STARWARS.COM site any day now as... well... it's getting close to the wire.
In addition on the 10th at SHOWEST, there will be a HUMONGOUS Star Wars presentation (I've heard) and if not for a prior commitment to deliver a talk at the Winnipeg Film Festival... I'd be there to cover it for ya. I had a press pass lined up, but due to my own bungling... well, I discovered too late the problem... soooooo, I'm honoring my prior commitment... argh... You know, being an adult sucks. Me wanna go see STAR WARS STUFF, and EYES WIDE SHUT STUFF... Waaaaaaaahhhhhhh... Who knows, perhaps, if I ask the tooth fairy, I'll get a tape of the ShoWest reels.... "When you wish upon a star..."
Yeah... I know you folks in TALK BACK are saying "oooooooollld neeewwws" but this is no longer speculation, but straight from the top. I wasn't posting this bit until I had it absolutely confirmed, as I am sick and tired of speculation as to when the various trailers will hit. It was something like 6 different films the first time... But this is one for the bank...

Or Maybe, It-Aint-Cool-News.com
Did Harry EVER have any cool news on this site? It's been so long, I can't remember.
The Wing Commander/Trailer thing has been around forever.
Long live www.darkhorizons.com,
http://countingdown.com/starwars, and of course, www.theforce.net.
Still, AICN is always good for a laugh.
-
After the trailer, I expect half the audience get up, at least thats what happened in November. I don't mind paying $7 to be entertained for 2 minutes, the trailer is more interesting that all the films at the gigaplex right now. As for Wing Commander, it looks like one of those Power Ranger type shows on Fox.
-
I think the Asian Design Major slipped Harry Some Opium.....As for walking out after the Trailer, not gonna happen here. Wing Commander is one of the few movies I'm looking forawrd to before Star Wars rolls over everything in it's path. It can't be that bad, David Warner's in it...and he's evil.....
-
I don't really see the point of walking out once you've seen the trailer, I mean unless you are literally sick at the thought of watching the film I don't see why you don't just sit and watch the bloody thing, i mean you've paid for it, and even if you think it looks SHITE, you never know, you might enjoy it. I mean, lets face it, a lot of films are better than we expect them to be. JUst sit and watch the damn film you fools!!!!
Jeeeeezzzzz!!! Americans....... -
I paid for "The Waterboy" entirely in order to watch the first SW trailer, and then thought, what the hell? Might as well stay and watch the film. It can't be THAT bad, right? The scars have yet to heal -- they may stay with me for a lifetime.
-
This trailer will help keep me going for the seventy-someodd days I have left. Oh, and don't trash Harry for holding off his "announcement" until he had confirmation--there has been so much wild speculation regarding this trailer (four minutes! out in January! played during the Super Bowl!) that it's nice to know that the news on this site is largely reliable.
-
It is a lot easer to sit through a bad sci-fi movie then a bad comedy or a bad extra long drama. If there are a lot of people there who saw it just for the trailer you can always Mistie it. Looks like one of those "So bad it is good" type movies.
-
sit with two of your friends and play MST 3000 with it and try to get each other to laugh while drinking coke so that it comes out of their nose, meanwhile irritating all the people who are there to actually watch the film until they come and throw you out, then you'll at least feel you got your money's worth.
On another totally askew note, I had a thought regarding who should play Anakin in the later episodes, I realllly wish it could be Michael Biehn. I know, I know, it's stupid and pointless, and besides, he's too old for the part, but he's cool enough, he has credibility, he's a fine actor and he even has a Luke-ish look and build. I dunno I just don't want some Dawson creek pretty-boy upstart that holds a lightsabre with limp wrist getting the role. :)
Flame away!;) -
I for one, will not go to see "Wing Commander" in theaters, simply because Chris Roberts decided to recast all the roles with younger actors. Big mistake if you ask me. I don't care if the new cast is the latest & greatest & hippest things to come out of Hollywood, he should've stuck with the original cast of Mark Hamill & Tom Wilson, who made the CD-ROM games top sellers for the last three installments. These guys made WC what it is in the gaming industry, and they deserved to be able to carry their characters onto the big screen, not be put out to pasture because they're not teenagers anymore. Besides, had he stuck with Hamill, what a wonderful tie-in to the trailer it would've been...
-
Ok, this proves without a doubt that the poeple running the show out there in Hollywood have no brains. Wing Commander? Who's idea was that. I have been going to see every new movie that comes to the middle sized town I live in for a long time, and I have still yet to see an ad for Wing Commander. Hell, I wouldn't even know that there was a wing commander movie coming out if I didn't check AICN frequently. Now, Doesn't it make sense to put the Episode 1 trailer on something that people will see? Come on guys! This is an ad for the most anticipated film of all time for crying out loud! It seems like lucasfilm and fox are shooting themselves in the foot with this one. Tacking a trailer this huge onto a movie like Wing Commander is just not a very smart move. I'm not saying that the film will suck, just that NOBODY WILL PAY TO SEE IT with the exception of a few people who like sci-fi, or have played the game.
-
The reason that they cast new actors, if you would trouble yourself to find out anything about the movie, is that the movie takes place when they're first graduating from the academy. It'd be awkward to have a bunch of 40-50 year old cadets leaving for their first cruise, doncha think?
No, I guess you didn't. -

the trailer will be attached to other films in coming weeks but theyre putting it with wing commander specifically so you will see the movie. its not a foolish move, its a marketing tool to draw people to wing commander.
-
...if you don't want to sit through a lame movie just to see the trailer you could wait two months and see the whole damned movie for the same price!! What a novel concept. Relax kids, just go to sleep and Christmas will be here before you know it.
-
To respond to the person who said something along the lines of "No duh, I heard this two weeks ago".. I sent Harry an e-mail when I heard about two and a half weeks ago, I guess he just didn't believe me. :)
Oh well, I forgive Harry, he's still my God. :)

Makes sense that its on Wing Commander, since that whole computer game was based on the TIE Fighter Attack scene in Star Wars. Anyway, lay off Harry for confirming important news. Also, I'm stuck in a dilemma. Should I see the preview or not? So far, I have almost zero knowledge of Episode I plot. And Lucas said that the new trailer will reveal plot points. AHHHHH! What do I do?!?! I believe that the real fans deprive themselves of all plot info, but then again I really want to see the trailer! Any advice?!?!
-
L'Auteur, for what it's worth, I'd say go with your first instinct. The movie will be that much sweeter when everything in it is a surprise. What's the point of learning a whole bunch of useless stuff now so that you can sit in the theatre a couple of months later thinking "oh yeah, I knew that was coming, I wonder when they're going to get to [insert scene]"? Much better to spend your hard-earned $$ and be completely knocked out throughout the whole flick! -
Here's what I'd do if I were you. Wait until you can download the trailer from the net (probably the same day that it comes out in the cinema) and watch it on your computer with the sound off. Then, you still get the trailer coolness, but you don't hear any of the dialog or the voice-over (if there is one). Hence, no spoilers.
-
Yet another dismal video game to movie adaptation that is certain to failure. Oh well. I'll catch a matinee and jet just after the trailer. I saw the trailer for WC on TV, and boy, does it look like a major suckassfest!
-
Here's some advice for you, Frenchy: Stop worrying! If the TPM production has been so secretive so far, why would they suddenly dump mega-spoilers on us? The "plot points" the new trailer reveals will probably be new only to non-SW geeks. Besides, if you've seen the SW and Indy trilogies, you know there are some trusty plot points Lucas never goes without. For example: The rescue, the "all-powerful" item which could destroy everything, etc... ALSO--attaching the trailer to guaranteed box office duds is a smart strategy. If the dud has the trailer on it and does miraculously well, they can kinda guage public interest. Plus Lucas is probably getting kickbacks for the rights to the trailer. Regarding Wing Commander-- well folks, it sure as hell can't get any worse than the last Star Trek (shudder). Heck, I would rather watch the cutscenes from WC (the video game) for 2 hours than watch that putrid excuse for sci-fi. Oh, and one last thing--anyone want to wager on how many posts it'll be before that rugmuncher JMS finds out there is a SW talkback and spends 2 days nonstop writing not-so-clever-anymore comments?
-
You people just suck! I am a HUGE SW fan. But, it's okay to like another sci-fi movie. Your not dating Lucas, your not cheating on your first love. So touting that Wing will suck is too soon. Unless you've sat through an entire screening, then SHUT THE HELL UP! The same people who made the game rock are the same people who made the movie. Advance buzz is good on the film, so let's give it chance.
You've got to watch something before that weekend in May. -
I'm not sure if watching it with the sound off would work. At least half of the reason i worship STARWARS so is because of the music. What got me hard during the teaser trailer was the Imperial March that they played when Yoda was like "blah blah blah leads to SUFFERING!" That version of the Imperial March, which was played in TESB when Darth knocked Luke out of the window in cloud city is just the shit. I cant describe (since film is my thing, not music) just how damn cool that specific version of the Imperial March is. daaaa daaaa daaaa dun da daaaa dun da daaaa... Daaaa Daaaa Daaaa Dun Da Daaaa Dun Da DUN DUN DUN! Daaaa Daaaa Daaa dun daaa dun dun da DUN DUN DUN!! im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo erect! feel these nipples! two months, two weeks, three daze.... two months, two weeks, three daze...
-
I know it will be on the net the next day, and I will download it and watch it over and over I am sure, but the reason I will go pay a matinee price to see the trailer is to experience it the "first" time with the proper resolution and sound and more importantly the right SIZE. I paid to see the first trailer and saw it with the Waterboy, which was not a terrible movie, and I felt it was worth it. This time around, it is at least attatched to a space movie (Wing Commander) which is probably not going to be as good as the trailer itself, but as a long time fan of the computer game, I have to see this movie anyway, just to know for myself how good or bad it is. For those of you in other countries who laugh at us "Silly Americans" I would like to point out that not only are there Americans who think it is just as stupid, but there are people from all over the world who will be flying in to see the trailer, I personally know of at least two from Europe anyway. So lets not act like this is an American thing.
-
Duh, im sure just like the last trailer this one will be all over the web, on entertainment tonight and access hollywood within 48 hours of hitting the theaters, Just watch it then, i mean do you really need to experience the theater surround sound for it, i doubt they are done mixing the audio to the way it will be in the movie anyway. Anyhow i don't mind paying $2.75 and catch the twilight showing and see it with wing commander anyway.
-
CAn you take your time and go fill out a poll on my site about how you like playing computer games. Its for an english project.
BTW.. check out my starwars stuff on my site

Starwars for ever ! -
If y'all don't want to take the chance of sitting through some shitty movie then just stay home on your lazy asses and watch the new trailer on Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight. They're bound to show it, maybe even as soon as the Friday of Wing Commander's opening weekend. Of course, if you do that instead, then you'll have to endure the horror that is Mary Hart. Jesus, if you can do that, you're a tougher man than me, hombre.
-
I live in Athens, Greece and they still haven't shown the trailer here yet! Luckily I saw it on the internet three months ago with everybody else. Who cares if the trailer will be playing before a movie that may or may not be good.I'll be flying out to NY in May to see the film because it's coming out here in October!I do think that flying out just to see the new trailer is a little outrageous. When I told my mom that I'm going to the States just to see the new Star Wars film in May she started to cry!She took me to see ROTJ back in '83 when I still lived in the U.S. She put me in the front so she could sit in the back of the theater with her friend and talk. SAD!!
-
I cannot believe this. TPM looks great but it's only a movie. You treat it like something that you'd give your soul for (Doubt you'll remember the movie four million years into eternity) WC looks just as good. Thierry Arbogast is an incredible DP. Hands down the best in the business. Peter Lamont is by far the best production designer with an Oscar to prove it. Kevin Droney is a slight hack but a good writer. Chris Roberts is...Chris Roberts, a very talented individual. Digital Anvil knows what they are doing. Besides, Mission: Impossible 2 is going to be the movie to beat all movies. Oh give me a break - you want to know how I can tell a movie will SUCK big moose buttocks before I even see it? SIMPLE - I have seen a LOT of crappy movies. I have learned to trust my instincts when it comes to crappers like WING COMMANDER. I'll be more than happy to spend 8 bucks (Or $5.50 student price!)to see the new PM trailer and I will get up and walk out of WC because I have better things to waste my time on. (Like relieving myself.) How do I know TPM will be kick ass when I haven't seen it? Come on - even the WORST Star Wars film is better than a lot of other scifi films. So give me a break - if you can't tell when a film will suck big time, you're the moron, not those of us who can smell the Hollywood crap before we step knee-deep in to it.
-
Where the hell do you live where it only costs $2.75 to see a movie, even a matinee? Bumfuck,USA??? That's ridiculously cheap, if I could only pay that I would see every movie that was released, and not bitch about spending less than $3.00 for a movie that may actually be pretty good, i.e. Wing Commander.
-
Call me a heretic if you will, but there's no way I would *ever* pay for a whole entire movie that didn't interest me just to watch an advertisement.
-
All you guys are bitchin because the trailer is going to be during Wing Commander?
Hell, I was going to watch Wing Commander anyway, now the trailer I see as a bonus. Of course the movie looks cheap (it was made for 27 million) and most effects look used over (the still rotation effect, do they wear GAP's in the future?) and the fact Mark Hamill and company will not recreate their roles on the big screen (McDowall was on another project, the others were to old for Ensign and Lt. ranks for this intro movie) but Chris Roberts revolutionized and/or expanded the way one makes MM video games and should have no problem impressing me for this film. Besides, I hear nothing better is being shown that weekend. Some of you will hate it, some will like, some will walk out. Who gives a shit since that would have been the case regardless (granted Adam Sandler is the one guy I walked out of the theater on, Billy Madison made me ill.) Till Monica gives birth to a pack of cigerettes. -
If someone else has mentioned this, please pardon me. But I think Fox is being very clever - knowing that Wing Commander is a weak movie, they're confining the showing of the trailer to that one film, which will surely inflate the grosses massively.
And I'm sure they're hoping that people will stick around to watch it, maybe take leave of their senses and recommend it (WC, that is) to friends, and get them in there next week.
Strictly a theory, of course.
I'm actually willing to give it a try - someone else posted some positive words about the DP (yes, the Director of Photography is the same as the Cinematographer), and the production designer is apparently good at his craft. If a sci-fi film at least looks decent, I won't feel too badly cheated. -
Just relax. If you don't want to pay to see WC, just spend the two hours downloading Trailer B. WC doesn't look too bad, but Freddy Prinze Jr. and Matthew Lillard can't act worth a damn. At least Tcheky Karyo is in it. Although, if Rick McCallum is yanking our chain about the trailer then I will be pissed. Or if the trailer isn't on the web on the 12th, again, I will be pissed. I'm just trying to be patient, because come May 21st all hell is going to break loose. Man, opening day is going to be a real bitch.

Pay for a movie you WANT to see; and see the trailer too. EASY!
by frank rizzo
Yeah, at least WC will hopefully be good eye candy, even if the plot is standard Sci-fi cheese. More than I could say for the last Star Trek, with it's gibberish-filled plot, halfassed FX, and tiny, TV-scale sets. Pitiful! Watching WC or Jedi Knight video game cutscenes is FAR more entertaining. Being a video-game-turned-movie, however, odds are it WILL have problems.... By the way, if you don't want to pay to see the trailer...well, don't! Do you know of any decent sized theater that checks tickets at the door of each individual screen room?? I don't! Buy a ticket to a movie you actually want to see, that starts shortly after WC does. After your ticket stub is taken, go sit in the WC theater and watch the trailer. Now, get up and go watch the movie you really wanted to see in the first place. Simple! So no more whining about the bad movies the trailers are being attached to, OK?
-
Anyone who thinks downloading the new trailer is equivalent to seeing it in the theater, only it's free is SERIOUSLY brain damaged. Seeing the trailer on the big screen is INFINITELY more exciting than watching a tiny little 3 inch by 1.5 inch quicktime version on my monitor. It's more exciting than watching it on the news, too - I mean come ON comparing my 19 inch tv screen to even the smaller multi-plex theater screens is just a joke! And the reason I'm okay with spending full ticket price for ONLY a trailer is strictly because of three reasons. 1) It's TPM. 2) I plan on seeing it the first night it screens before I read about it. 3) [and most importantly] I am sure that the theater will be packed with other rabid SW fans who are just as excited to see it as me. It's called the THEATER EXPERIENCE. It's not the sound system, it's not how comfy the seats are - it's WE, THE FANS that make it worth the full price for four minutes of TPM. Who cares about WC when you compare it to a trailer for TPM? The trailer footage was probably more expensive than the entire budget for WC! ANYway, I just wanted to explain why I am willing to pay full price for four minutes of film. Thanks for reading. Remember it's so important to make your dreams of happiness come true. And remember when you touch yourself the saints cry. Good night. -peteski@spinninghead.com

helllo everybody... don't you think that harry did the right thing by waiting to get the information confirmed. I thought everybody here was tired of hearing all the false rumors and guesses of everything about TPM and everything related to it. Isn't it nice to know that someone actually waited until it was verified before it was printed. I mean everybody here is bitching about having to pay to see a lame movie such as WC, (which nobody's seen and are making an unfair judgement in the first place) what would you have done if Harry had reported it without confirmation and it wasn't on there. $7 to $10 down the drain and everybody would have been yelling at poor Harry. I work at a movie theatre and have know about it being on WC for about 2 or 3 weeks now, but it was all rumor, I didn't believe it till I read it on this site. So do us all a favor and make up your minds about what you want and don't want before you start criticizing Harry for doing something he wholeheartdly believed in doing. Damned if you do, and damned if you don't, keep up the great work Harry, and I'll see you at the Star Wars Conv. in Denver, I know you'll be there all the true fans like you will be. Avid reader since the beginning and will be to the end.
-
Sorry man but paying 7.50 to watch 2 minutes of footage not to mention taking the time to drive out there and stand in line is to me completely insane. Give the damn money to charity and wait for the fucking movie or watch it on tv..kids today. Damn!
-
the subject says it all; ANYONE know ANYTHING???
-
I mean for TPMenace, not Wing Commander, of course
-
Loved your Talkback...but where you been, man? Everybody knows that the Imperial March is the best music in the world to get laid to...great, now MY nipples are getting hard. As to Wing Commander, science fiction is like sex and pizza - even when it's bad it's still pretty good.
-
Let's face it, Wing Commander's going to blow large and colourful chunks. But don't you know that going in? WC (hmm... couldn't that stand for water closet, too?) is the first of what I hope will be a long line of cheezy sci-fi flicks trying to ride the genre coattails of the increasingly infamous "Episode One: The Phantom Tollbooth". I say, "Bring it on!" I grew up watching all the bad space flicks taht came from the last Star Wars era (we have gems like "Ice Pirates" to thank for that time) and look foreward to a slew of new ones over the next 5 years. Now only if we could put a halt to all these remakes and revisitations we're getting.... do we really need a movie version of Hogan's Heroes? But that's another story.

Harry, I heard this news on E! News Daily before I heard it from
by salacious
Harry, I am very dissapointed in you. You are getting slow with your news. 2 Weeks ago they made the same announcement about the trailer and Wing Commmander on E! News Daily, DO you really have spies finding this info out for you, or did you just turn on your TV?
-
Yeah, I'm completely aware of the storyline there Chairboy. That's part of my "beef" with Roberts. The movie should've been a continuation of the popular CD-ROM games with the original cast, not a retelling of the story by going back to the beginning. I'm probably one of the few Star Wars fans who believes that Lucas should've gone with the next trilogy (episodes 7-9) next, and then pick up the prequels later on if he had the time. Whatever. Nobody asks my opinion anyway. Still, I think WC with new actors is a complete mistake. My opinion, and I'm entitled to it.
-
As long as he keeps releasing trailers with shitty movies, he'll keep boosting up their box office and turning other ppl's crap into hits. Whynot try releasing the trailer with a good movie for a change dammit?
-
Who the hell cares about stupid trailer info? What good does it do you? Give you a leg up on other trekkies down at the convention?
It would be good info if it had to do with the stock market or a sportsbook someplace but geez
O Pete. Only a freakin' movie.
Okay, go play Doom or whatever it is the hell y'all do....
-
play doom or whatever they do? Obviously they post on this site for fun. Just like you just did you hypocritical jackass. And another thing, I love it when people make a posting to rag on someone else and then they double-post, like they have arthritis worse than my grandmother. One time is enough, you goob.
-
I was not posting just for fun. Something had to be said about all the space taken re: the trailer and when it is coming out and the goobs that pay $7.5 to see it then walk out.
As for you, well, you are a little
sensitive. Must have interrupted your dungeons and dragons game.... -
This double (Now quad-post) is
for GB....okay, I wasted my whole lunch break having "fun" -
Who's the bigger fool? The fool or the fool who wastes his lunch hour making fun of him?
-
You must type pretty slow man. or maybe you revise your talkbacks through three or four drafts before posting. This only took about 2 minutes, not my whole lunch break. Oh well, back to my D&D game. Am I the fool, or the fool who criticizes the fool, now?
I've lost track. I think I'm just the fool. -
Gee, nice to see you've been paying attention. Didn't you notice that the WC announcement was a *confirmation*. The same news was posted here as rumor a couple of weeks ago. Did any of the crappy shows that used the story mention it was rumor? No. Will any of them be confirming it now? No.
-
Back for my smoke break. Thought about drafts all since lunch. I get 2 hr breaks being a big wig here at work. Hence the name Money G. And it sucks trying to type with arth...rit...is. Ouch, babe.
Peteski, try the cliffnotes for GodBear and myself. Think you wil find them helpful p funk. Top o the food chain p out. -
"Lucasfilm does not have a policy of asking distributors to "attach" a trailer to any of their upcoming releases. The new Star Wars trailer is being shipped separately to all major theaters in the U.S. and Lucasfilm is allowing theater management the option of placing the trailer before the film of their choice. But it was strongly requested by Mr. Lucas and FOX, in the form of a memo distributed a few weeks ago, that the theater owners consider placing the new trailer before the upcoming release of WING COMMANDER. Of course, Lucasfilm respects the decision of the theaters and their management and Lucasfilm is confident that the new trailer will be seen by everyone that attends a film of their choice during the weekend of March 12th...."
-
Does anyone know anything about episodes 7-9? Lucas said in Vanity Fair that he would NOT be making them...ever. Is this true or just a ploy to get reporters off his back? HARRY?
-
To Nordling re the music - I'm hearing it in my head right now. Best soundtrack original score of all time. I _can't wait to hear the new stuff. And I planned on staying to watch Wing Commander. How bad could it be? I love cheesy sci-fi and would like to say to Xinpheld - yes, I loved Ice Pirates. Even now if it happens to pop up on t.v. I end up watching it.
And to others - paying for 2 minutes - why not sit and watch the damn thing long enough to see if you're right and it sucks, or, hey maybe it won't. -
OK this is a little off topic from the trailer, but...AHHHHH!!! NO!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!! Guess who's writing the novel tie-in for "The Phantom Menace"? The Anti-Tolkien. Or perhaps the Anti-Lovecraft. At any rate the anti all-that-is-cool in fantasy writing. Anyway, he sucks. He is evil. I speak of that most vile, useless and banal of all fantasy authors. One who I feel has destroyed the modern fansasy novel as we know it, and brought the entire genre to new dumbed-down lows from which it may never, EVER recover. Think you know the answer? (I'll give you a hint...He's even WORSE than Piers Anthony!!!) I speak of none other than that hack to end all hacks, TERRY BROOKS. (brrrrrr...) AHHHHH!!!! NOT THAT!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! AHHH!!! Please please please I'll take ANYONE else....I'll even take fraggin' Alan Dean FOSTER over Terry Brooks! ANYTHING but, but.......THIS repulsive insult!!!
(OK, Foster's a hack too, but at least he's a *competent* hack). Of course I'll never read the novel anyway...but it's just the idea that makes me squirm. It makes me ever so slightly question Lucas' credibility and makes me worry about the content of the movie itself. (If Terry Brooks is the perfect author for the novel, then GOD HELP the film). BLECH!!!!!!! Barf, vomit, etc. - Pete
PS - Have a Nice Day
-
I really don't understand all the animosity towards Wing Commander. I guess when you compare it to the category of Star Wars (since the new trilogy is starting), it's easy bash it. The only thing I have to go off of is the two trailers (the teaser and the full trailer). From just the teaser I can see why people would be very skeptical about this film, but after the 2.5 minute trailer I am very excited. Perhaps I am a little biased; being a fan of the game series. But if this movie is at least as good as the cut-scenes from the games, I know it will be enjoyable. And if it does suck? Well, it won't be the first time I saw a bad movie; that's the risk you take. But it can't be worse than Species II, and that movie wasn't premiering a trailer to the first Star Wars movie in 16 years! :-)
-
I cant believe you guys at how rude you are by walking out of WC after the TPM trailer. I mean what would you guys think if 1/2 the theatrew walked out after the trailers that were in front of the TPM. I will stay and watch WC and jusge the FILM on its merits...
-
Harry says about the new trailer being in front of Wing Commander: "this is no longer speculation, but straight from the top. I wasn't posting this bit until I had it absolutely confirmed, as I am sick and tired of speculation (...)this is one for the bank..." starwars.com replied: "The new trailer will be placed into general release, running on a wide variety of films over the coming weeks. Contrary to speculation, it will not be attached to any particular film, including Wing Commander" C'MON, HARRY!!! What is this "no longer speculation" means then? Tell us these kind of things only when they are f*cking true!
