Will this finally finally finally draw more people to SciFi programing? I dunno...
-
BOB-A-BOOEY!
-
in a charming cutesy kinda way, loved her in Weeds.
-
Might take a look.
-
Zooey is pronounced like Zoe. Rhymes with David Bowie. Blowy showy snowy Joey.
-
Do you guys remember that from Return to Oz, when the many-headed bitch was screaming for her in that hall where her heads were kept. That movie still scares the crap out of me. Awesome for Zooey though, can't wait to see this. Now all we need is a movie version of 'Alice' the video game.
-
she is so hot! and alan cumming is hilarious. I might have to figure out which channel sci-fi is once and for all. (that's right, suck it battlestar galactica!)
-
even she and Sam Rockwell couldn't save the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy movie from being only meh-worthy. had a nice trailer though
-
Those eyes...Mmm. How come we don't see Alan Cumming with a nice girl? He must be such a workaholic he doesn't have the time, huh?
-
She is sooooooo cute. Loved her in HGTTG. The only reason I sometimes watch Bones is so I can imagine it's Zooey instead of her sister.
-
Do your research, people. Judy Garland used to be hot back in the day. OK, maybe she wasn't in that particular movie, but she was in real life.
-
her Dorothy was supposed to be a kid.
-
(20-30 minutes worth)with Garland looking attractive and even seductive, but decided to refilm with her looking more childlike and innocent. I think this will be a great adaptation that is closer to the source material.
-
I swear, Zooey, Bill Nighy and Stephen Fry are the only things that make that film remotely watchable. TIN MAN officially has my interest now.
-
Zooey Deschanel can do no wrong! Really cool girl. This Tin Man thing just went from being like every other thing that I completely ignore on Sci-Fi, to being a must watch event! Cool!
-
Uh, you know Dorothy is like 6 in the original book, right?
-
She was goddamned funny in WEEDS last season.
-
Lost Girls much more interesting to do.
-
But that post was goddamn funny. Too soon? Hell no.
-
Oh well. I don't think it was an actual slam on gay people, merely a juvenile attempt to be funny based on real-life events. I understand the wipe out. Zooey Deschanel is one of my "Allowed Cheat" list girls (you know, the list of girls you can cheat on your girlfriend with because there's no chance of them even looking at you.)
-
her singing gives her extra points as well!
-
I can definitely see her as Dorothy.
-
Based on the pitch, this sounds like an f-ing nightmare, but the people jumping on board are hardly desperate.
I like Allen Cummings, but I realize it takes good material for him to be good, and he will sign onto almost anything.
As for Zooey Deschanel, I love her and she actually has a bit of momentum in her career (although I wish she'd do more 'Weeds' type stuff rather than more 'Terabithia' type stuff) so maybe this isn't the steaming pile of shit it appears to be.
I refuse to get excited about a sci-fi revamp of 'The Wizard Oz', because there's no way this could just be mediocre... If they do it perfectly, it could kick ass, but there are a million-billion wrong turns that this production could take.
Having said that, the casting news so far is pretty interesting.
-
Amazing movie. and great quote. "RIGHT! Tie my legs together" lol. Jack Pumpkinhead owns Scarecrow.
-
in "The Good Life." One of the best films I saw at Sundance.
-
from that dogcrap show Bones. she deserves better.
-
Zooey's sister has awesome cans
-
I saw "Teribithia" last night. Awesome movie, though I expect there will be lots of uncomfortable questions on many a car ride home over the next few days. It's being marketed as a fantasy/Narnia type movie when only <1/8th is actual "fantasy time". This movie poses some pretty heavy ontological material...which is great...and I loved it!...but the shot they are using in the newspapers would have you belivev this movie takes place in a fantasy world. Hint: this movie takes place in the real world where bullies exsist and people do get hurt, physically & emotionally. This is one I'm picking up on DVD to show my child one of these days. Not for kids under 10 by any means...unless they're pretty advanced and well adjusted. A MUST SEE for everyone over the age of 12, though. Great life lessons! And Zooey....mmmmm....Zooey. My god is she just dripping lusciousness, and has been ever since "Almost Famous". Why couldn't it have been her that played Penny Lane and flashed us a left boobie? Better left to the imagination, I reckon.
-
Another reason this site is going to hell....what happened to most of my last post? Briefly...Teribithia is great, not for the under 10 crowd, NOT a fantasy movie, Zooey is awesome!
-
If I was Will Ferrel in Elf, then Zooey wouldve been fucked by an elf in that shower scene. God she's hawt. Nice voice on her, too.
-
I am SO there.
I do hope she stays on Weeds.
-
would the PTB leave the poor wizard of oz alone !!!!!! it dont need to be reimagined, we dont care, the story is like 60yrs old.... jeeeeez
-
That's all I got; I got nothin'...
