davidjr.com posted some video grabbed within the confines of the New York City Toy Fair.
You'll get a sense of what toy shelves will be like when invaded by the TRANSFORMERS movie, as well as glimpsing one of the most kickass Enterprise replicas I think I've ever seen (please tell me this isn't one of those $9 million thingies - it is, isn't it? I long for it...)
Also on deck: some STAR WARS stuff (a really nice Millennium Flacon repro), some HARRY POTTER things, some TERMINATOR replicas, etc. Nothing Earth shattering...but pretty fun all the same (except for the creepy psycho killer/stalker voice identifying the site). TAKE A LOOK!

Gangsta! By the way, as a long time Transformers fan I must admit these designs are very disappointing. I'm not following the logic? They're a departure from the original designs. Yet they also don't seem to "friendly" or accessible (to new fans in particular). I don't know. I'm growing more optimistic for the movie (based on the last trailer) but I'm still not feeling the designs of the characters. We'll see if I warm up to them. Peace.

TF's were a big part of my childhood also but I say wait till ya see the movie. If some Alien Machine Monsters fell from the skies and started tearing up the earth, I can see them looking like Michael Bay has envisioned them. Does owning 450 TF's toys count?

The TF's totally look like crap did anyone notice Jazz without the Visor. As for the "Why do ALiens have too look like insect" Supes its much easier for Hollywood to rip off Gieger then come up with something fresh or actually ask Moviegoers to suspend Belief. If I had a sig here it would be Hater till I die.

Why you dont have to wait for release to criticize TF

We have seen the designs. They are awful. We have read the script that was leaked online and we know is close to the shooting script. Its even worse than the designs. We know the director has proven himself a hack time and time again. So why exactly must one wait until the movie comes out to criticize the film? We know exactly what its going to be. If you go around screaming "hater" its only because you are insecure in your own point of view on something and people who make fun of it make you feel inferior. Here's a hint: it's probably because you are.

Am I a Micheal Bay fan? No not really. Actually not at all. But he may be the right guy for this movie. The only thing that he could do to fuck that movie up is do what he did with Pearl Harbor and insert a cheesy fucking love story into it. If he does that then I too will have to say "Damn you Micheal Bay!". If he sticks to blunt ass kicking action which he is a good at then Transformers may be the movie to beat this Summer. The toys looks cool too. I am excited for it. Fuck it.

Toys are cool, and so are the new transformer designs. Anyone who still can't get past the changes/enhancements needs to go do some personal study of a) the original cartoons blatant ignorance of physical transformation b) the sheer difference in the actual toys compared to their animated counterparts & c) the actual integrity that has gone into this new production. We're not getting Alien Vs. predator here. we're getting spielberg and bay. Get excited. Anyone remember machine men? As much as i loved Transformers, I always thought the animated machine men transformed better.

Armageddon and Bad Boys 2 are less shitty than AvP because the budgets of those two movies were bigger? Fuck that. Bay is a bigger hack than Paul Anderson could ever hope to be. Nodody expected TF to be Citizen Kane but it doesn't it had to be a total idiotic piece of shit, which rest assured it will be. -
The Enterprise, I believe, is a Master Replicas limited edition model...for $1200!!!! You can check it out on Entertainment Earth. Too frikkin bad it's so frikkin expensive!

That is the most damned annoying video i've ever seen, they can't edit worth a shit. Enterprise and Falcon replicas are SWEET! Those and the Terminator maquettes were the best things in the whole video. Looking at the Spidey 3 "black suit" design again really makes me realize how dull it is. And, yeah, the "Lost" figures... you've got to be kidding me, right? No Colonial Viper replicas but you can get a playset of Lost figures standing around a hole in the ground.
