James Cameron’s Finally Shooting... With Timbaland?!

I’m glad James Cameron has been working out with the technology he’s going to be using on AVATAR in his 3D documentaries and in projects like this one:

Been diehard TIMBALAND fan for 'bout 11 yrs now. I ran across this news....James Cameron shooting new TIMBALAND ft Justin Tmberlake & Nelly Furtado music video GIVE IT 2 ME in 3-D.

Cameron To Shoot Timbaland Video In 3D
'Terminator' and 'Titanic' director James Cameron has signed on to film the "Give It To Me" video from Timbaland with guests Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. In an added twist, the video will be shot in 3-D. Production begins February 11.
In-demand producer Timbaland is finishing up work on his solo album "Shock Value" for a March 27 street. "My mission is to blow up the boundaries and tear down the limits,' Timbaland says. "I"m taking my music outside of the box. I"m not getting away from what I"m known for; I"m just going to a place where it"s all about the music, not about the labels on the music."
Other notable contributors to "Shock Value": Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Elton John, Fall Out Boy, She Wants Revenge and The Hives. According to Timbaland, the album's non-stop song sequence works to tell a larger lyrical tale.

Oh well. Beck would be pretty cool. I've really liked his last two albumbs. I love the hives as well though. I dont quite know how the hives' sound is going to mix with timbaland though. I saw the hives live back in 04, and it was one of the best live performances I've ever seen.

but his solo albums are usually dodgy. Especially with that Magoo guy. How will I be able to watch this video if its 3D anyway? How's that gonna work? I still don't get how Avatar is going to be 3D and still be considered a blockbuster summer film? I don't know any cinemas apart from the IMAX that show stuff in 3D. That's one cinema. And I live in London!!! I doubt there is going to be loads of 3D capable cinemas in 2 years time. Somebody help me out?

Gitchasexyout. I dig this, I hope this video is epic and hell. i have no idea how 3-d works on tv, but it's proabably a good idea. Timbaland shits hits. But how is this a "solo" album if he never had a group, and every song is featuring another artist? Isn't this exactly what he's always done. I'm pretty sure there's a whole album worth of his collaborations out there. Someone should make that a mix tape. Someone named YOU!

it broke on the radio in LA a couple of weeks ago. it's actually mostly nelly furtado with one chorus by justin timberlake and has some timbaland-y step-dancing-type beats going on. kind of curious that cameron would want to have anything to do with it but maybe he's expanding his horizons.

Timbaland is a very solid producer. The honest to god reason why can stomach Justin Timberlake's music, nothing against him personally, but I hated that bubblgum/teen crap he's known for.As for this news with JC, well i'll have to see the final product, and not sure what Tom and Jim are trying to accomplish, since i ralry watch music videos but more power to them. Should be groundbreaking, but it'll all be for nothing if i don't like the song, which i haven't heard. I hope Timbaland's cd is good. cuase his past personel cd's are crappy.

He outright STOLE Tempest's "Acidjazz Evening" and claimed it as his own. He made a ringtone out of it, and then turned it into a Furtado song. He STOLE MUSIC. Didn't ask permission. It's not just a beat, it's not a sample, but a WHOLE DAMNED SONG. TIMBALAND SUCKS AND SHOULD BE SHUNNED AS A PLAGIARIST ASSHOLE.

I'm a white male from Canada, and granted, I'm no hippity hop rappist, but I like to think that I know a few things about being black and growing up in the 'hood. I know that when you have to deal with thugs and gangsters threatening to shoot you and make you a mule for their booze bootlegging all the time, it can get pretty tiring. It makes a negro want to drop some brass on another negro, and then write a song lyric about it. I get that... What I don't get is what would happen if this 3-D fell into the wrong hands? What if Mr. Sugarnite or Mr. Two-Pack got their hands on it? What evil thuggery would ensue? I'm all for the propogation of this new three dimensional technology, but make sure those thugs at death row don't get their hands on it, or we'll all be in 3-D and shot up by tommy guns in no time. Thank you for your attention.

I'm always up for the music channel surf,AICN news combo so I'll probably see this at some point.I like some of Timbalands breaks hey papi,big pimpin and the decent Aaliyah tunes are alright with me among others but I saw a ytmnd named "Timbaland pulls an Eric Bauman" which has gone now which undeniably proved the Tempest theft.He is big time enough to of given credit where it was due,shame about his ego kicking in.Sampling is another instrument,that is theft.Disapointing.......when something like that happens it makes you wonder what else people have nicked and tarnishes their reputation.I hope he does the right thing.

So you wannna talk smack about Timbaland b/c he supposedly ripped off a demo from someone else. First of all, he didn't take the exact same demo, he took the sound and sort of mimicked it, made it his own and made it sound a hella lot better. So just for 1 supposedly ripped off song he's a criminal and should be hanged? Wow. Some people are just sad and really stupid. Its amazing the little things that people in the world make a big deal out of. Is it really hurting you that he did it, even if its partly true. U need a life man. Mr.Timbo aint hurting u. Last thing i want to see is oiled up music video honeys,a milion different basketball jerseys, spinning rims, diamonds in a man's teeth or anything with the word "crunk" getting slammed at me in 3-D..... So, because he plagiarised it well, it's not actually plagiarism? Shit, where have I been all these years? Incidentally, Mr. Hiking Shoe didn't do anything any rappist, or hell, any modern pop musician wouldn't have done, so don't blame him... There hasn't been an original thought in the music industry since agents and managers started coming down on everyone for hard drug use. Artists need to get back on the horse (so to speak) so's I can get my damn hell ass awesome tunes. Fuck their lives, I want my bumpin' tracks. -
