The Internet Exclusive Trailer For HOT FUZZ leaves a bloody boot mark on both your ass cheeks!!!

Published at:  Feb 09, 2007 12:25:03 AM CST

Hey folks, Harry here... well - lube up for a fucking good time, cuz this internet exclusive trailer that EMPIRE ONLINE debuted tonight is 13 layers of kickass. I'm dying to see this film. I'll just have to hope and pray that I can live long enough for it to come out. I've cut down on my lard intake - but I can't stop eating my butter-fried bacon. C'mon heart, hang in there - we can make it!

Bring on the Mutherfuckin' FUZZ!!!

FYI: The above trailer was editted by Edgar Wright personally - and scored by Robert Rodriguez. No wonder it kicks ass that hard.

Harry follows Homer Simpson's bacon philosophy...

    by filmcritic3000

Homer: "So you think you know better than this family, eh? Well as long as you're in my house you'll do what I do and believe what I believe! So butter your bacon!"
    Bart: "Yes father.
    Homer:..."bacon up that sausage, boy!"
Bart: "But Dad, my heart hurts!"
[Homer glares at Bart; Bart complies]

After the fat one dies two days before a heavily anticipated premiere, his friends plot to grant him his dying wish: to see the film, dead or alive! Hilarity ensues in this comedy critics are calling, "Weekend at Bernie's meets Weekend at Bernie's 2!"

But I really want a balls-to-the-wall, make your nards shrink into your stomach, pedal-to-the-metal action trailer. That would be the extra special geek trailer for all action junkie's. This film will rule all though, and that music was pretty freakin' sweet.

Saw it this past Monday and...

    by demon disco

(SPOILERS WILL FOLLOW)...it certainly kicked all kinds of ass. However - it's no Shaun of the Dead. Not yet, anyway. But there's plenty to take in over multiple viewings, just like with Shaun, so I expect my fondness for this flick to grow, too. My only real complaint was that, for a supposed action movie, there was precious little action. I'm serious. There's a great 20 minute sequence towad the end (SPOILER) when our two heroes take on the villagers in the town square and a supermarket, but the editing is erratic and it's not quite as high-octane as you will no doubt be expecting. Now, this is either down to Wright's inexperience at action cinema (although he does make a fair fist of it) or the fact that the marketing has promised too much - but Michael Bay this most certainly is not (despite some cool parody shots). The (BIGISH SPOILER) dust-up between Dalton and Pegg in the Model Village was brillaint, though... In all, however, this Fuzz is certainly fucking Funny with a capital F and proves once again that these boys (along with Sacha Baron Cohen) are putting Blighty comedy firmly on the world map - where we belong. But in summary? Hot Fuzz is Midsommer Murders meets The Wicker Man via Die Hard. Good times, my friends, I promise. (The first hour is definitely the funniest). Oh, and (SPOILER!) there is an Omen-esque death scene at a church that bests anything I've seen in a Hollywood horror film in years. Bravo, guys! Bravo! Cannot WAIT to see what they come up with next...

So when you say "There's a great 20 minute sequence toward the end" do you really mean 20 minutes? I was told the same about Smokin' Aces, but it turned out to have about 5 minutes of action in total.
