Merrick here...
Early last month, Brett Ratner did an interview with MTV regarding BEVERLY HILLS COP 4.
A particular quote in the interview lead many to the logical conclusion that the new BHC project would have a considerably softer tone/rating than its predecessors.
When asked what is biggest challenge would be, Ratner seemed to indicate that his new film would be geared towards a very PG audience.

Ron Howard confirms ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT film is 'closer than ever' to happening!!!
Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.
I spoke to Ron Howard recently as part of the big FROST/NIXON push, and I'll have the full interview for you you shortly. But when I saw the item that Hercules posted about "Arrested Development" mastermind Mitch Hurwitz signing on to write and direct the feature film version of the fan favorite, I felt like I should run this little snippet of my conversation with Howard just to add fuel to the "AD" fire, before the news is dated.

STOCKHOLM FILM FESTIVAL! The Northlander – Part One: THE WRESTLER, THE CLASS, And More!!
Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.
TheNorthlander deserves a lot of credit... he was the first one to call it on LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. He’s been talking about that movie for what seems like at least a year now, way before anyone else was, and he was right.
As a result, I’m really pleased to have him at the Stockholm Film Festival, weighing in on everything he’s going to be seeing over the next ten days. He started with a big batch of press screenings, and let’s see what he checked out:

Vern Vs. TRANSPORTER 3!!
Hey, everyone. “Moriarty” here.
Vern is the greatest writer about film writing about film anywhere that film is written about. If you disagree, I will pay a big guy to punch you in a soft place.
I haven't seen TRANSPORTER 3 yet, but thanks to this review, I feel like I have. Every word's a gem, Vern. Thanks for the huge Friday morning belly laugh.
Check it out. Tell me I'm wrong.

Harry basks in the TWILIGHT... it is so cool to be in love
A strange thing happened on my way to ridicule my wife’s love for TWILIGHT… I kinda sorta fell a little in love too.
I’m a softy, I admit it. I love romance, be it silly or serious… momentary or eternal. I’m a sucker for stories about people that shouldn’t be together that just… despite the order of the food chain, find a reason to fight their natural instincts and… well… get it on.

AICN Downunder: Latauro Vs. Baz Luhrmann's AUSTRALIA!
Greetings. I thought I'd take a break from my temporary AICN sabbatical ("Who are you supposed to be?" asks most of the readership) to drop in a review. I've been sitting on a half-finished FROST/NIXON review for about a month -- for reasons I'll go into when I finally submit my review -- but as AICN's Australian correspondent, it's fitting that I should return to review the largeness that is... AUSTRALIA.
