Revenge films. Invasion films. Torture films. There’s a larger cultural issue at play in what we’re calling horror films right now, and I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that it’s a reaction to the world around us at the moment. People feel like their notions of security have been destroyed, and these movies are the natural artistic response. Will this one be any good? With Gillian Anderson and one of the stars of SEVERANCE, there’s a good chance that geeks will at least give the movie a chance.
