A Quick BLADES OF GLORY Review!

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here. Seriously. Very quick. I just want to know: will this be KICKING & SCREAMING, or will this be TALLADEGA NIGHTS? Let’s get right to it:

Hey, aintitcool fans. Thought I'd drop in and give my review for Blades of Glory. I hate long drawn out reviews, so I'll get to the point. This movie is hilarious. Just got back from a test/press screening for the film in Los Angeles where some of the music, graphics, and FX weren't a 100% "locked" yet. But none of that made a difference. I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would initially. In short, and to just make it clear if you haven't seen the trailer yet, the story is about two feuding over-the-top figure skating champs played by Ferrell and Heder (who is actually good as a comic foil for Ferrell's retardedness) and through a series of events have to join together and claim their stance as two of the all time great...first mens paired figure skating champs. This is what I thought would make the movie supposedly funny; Men figure skating! Hilarious! But really, It's the antics in this movie that make it so hilarious. And it goes beyond one's expectation for how far they'll take the comedy, which is great to see. I wish I could go on about specific scenes, but it's better to just discover them yourselves. Lots of great stuff. Great supporting performances by Will Arnett, Amy Poehler (The villainous brother and sister skating team), and Craig T. Nelson as well. Also, as a sidenote, Jenna Fischer plays a supporting role to in this movie as well. And for all of you who lust after her in The Office, she wears an outfit in this movie that made my eyes fall out of my head. That alone might be worth dragging yourselves to the theatre. I love screwball comedies, Dick Valpak
