Feel The SUNSHINE In Glorious Quicktime!! + A Slightly Different Teaser, Too!!

Published at:  Jan 22, 2007 5:51:20 PM CST

Merrick here...

Ezra sent in two links I thought might be of interest.

The first is an identical version of the SUNSHINE trailer released earlier this week, 'cept this one's in Glorious Quicktime. SEE IT HERE!

You can also see a different (more teaserish) version of the trailer there, too.

We're eagerly anticipating QT HD for this one, marketing folk. Soonish, perhaps?

Thanks to Ezra for the message...

I see that the trailer is quite wonderful; it shows so much but gives so little away. I believe that is the sign of a good trailer or a shitty striptease.

    by georges garvaren

not before one more screw. Anyway, I'm excited; Danny is such a respectful director who appears to truly care about what the audience likes and caters -in his own way- to that. This film feels much grander in scope than his past projects especially when one considers that till now he's done very personal stories usually based on one persons perspective. But this one seems like it will follow multiple characters through the muck and he hasn't really done that yet. I suppose ‘Shallow Grave’ would be the nearest. Should be fun though, to see his attempt; I believe I will actually waste my money on this putty.

actually, it's a e.s. posthoumus take on the lux aeterna theme from requiem originally composed by clint mansell and played by the cronos quartet. You can find it easily on e mule or something similar. Great trailer, hopeful that this will finally be a good sci fi

He didn't want them to recut his theme, or use it at all for Two Towers, but the studio made it seem like he didn't have much of a choice, Why can't we go back to the Jurassic Park theme being the easy go to. At least there was no artistic value they were raping there.

    by creasybear

If nobody knew who directed this, everyone would be dumping all over this trailer. Because it really does look so-what. The sun as a villain? Unless Boyle can get an Apollo 13 feel going, there's nothing to look forward to in this.

Danny Boyle Should Not Be Allowed to Name His Own Films

    by ryanislyin

And you guys are pretty fucking wrong about this looking like "The Core". It's like saying, "Ooh, it has a long, narrow spaceship. Fuckers ripped off 2001! Hollywood sucks!"

Besides, I don't give half a shit if it is a "Core" remake. That movie was tripe, and had a lot of room for improvement. Same for Star Wars, for that matter. Hope somebody gets to redo those, too.

Just don't let Danny Boyle name them, or they'll be called "Wookies" or "Planets" or something.
