Apple Posts The RENO 911!: MIAMI Trailer With Added Commentary!

Published at:  Jan 08, 2007 1:31:36 AM CST

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here.

Y’know, I sort of punched Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant in the face a little in my NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM review today, but I do love RENO 911!, and I’m genuinely looking forward to the bigscreen version, RENO 911!: MIAMI. I like that the trailer that Apple just posted this weekend is available with or without commentary.

Seriously... check this out!

I didn’t see them at ComicCon last summer, but as I understand it, their commentary here is basically what they did onstage, where they appeared in character, and they expressed their unhappiness with the way they were being depicted in the film. I like the character work on this show, and I hope the movie lives up to it. For now, this trailer’s got me in the theater.

    In Character commentary

Sounds a lot like the commentary for This Is Spinal Tap, which may actually be funnier than the film itself.

Don't wanna sound like an AICN-Hater, but...

    by derlanghaarige

...stop posting links from trailers that have been online for more than a week. You did a good job with the Die Hard 4 trailer and the many trailers that have been removed, short after you posted the link, but when a link is on the www for more than, let's say 2 days, it isn't worth posting anymore. Doesn't matter how cool this is. Sorry.

    just because

    by badmrwonka

something's been online for a week, doesn't mean we've all seen it. personally, I don't go trolling around the internet looking for trailers. I just figure if it's in any way cool, it'll be here on AICN. this kind of reminds me of the dude that got uppity about the kevin smith in die hard news, saying it was old news because kevin smith has sent his myspace friends a bulletin about it. I mean come on, where do you draw the line? and why does anyone ever care if AICN posts something that's been up elsewhere? people get ravenous! "aint it old news! this has been up at Chud for like 32 minutes!" I don't get it...

    ComicCon trailer

    by imscully33

I wish they would repost that somewhere. Anyone know if it's turned up online? It was such a perfect take-off of the Miami Vice trailer, and no one got to see it.

No appearance by the guy from Tacos! Tacos! Tacos!

    by creasybear

Tacos? Before they go to Miami, I'd better see at least one of the Reno regulars.

    Reno regulars

    by cheif brody

That guy who smacks the gator in the pool is a regular on the show...except he never plays the same character. One the show, he's been a Ku Klux Klan guy...a guy with a blow up sex doll in his hotel room and several others...he's hilarious. Not a lot of Garcia in that trailer. I could watch Dangle & Weigel read the phone book...The first thing I thought of was...This could be the new Police Academy franchise. It would crack me up if there's a cameo of the Super Troopers at the convention...that would be sweet! And AICN haters...chill...I don't wanna go searching everywhere for the "newest" trailer on the web. I could care less if its a week old. If you don't like it...go hang out at your fave whiz bang trailer poster site and stay off this one.
