Final BLACK SNAKE MOAN poster - Gorgeous!

Hey folks, Harry here - As you saw with my top ten list of films from last year - I loved BLACK SNAKE MOAN - and if you've been reading all the reviews coming out of BNAT 8 - they all agree that this was one of the best films of not just BNAT 8, but the year. Craig Brewer's been red hot two years running for me, first with HUSTLE & FLOW and now this. Well - A source sent me this cel phone pic of what they claim is the final poster for BLACK SNAKE MOAN. I really like it, as it combines the two individual posters into a single poster. I just wish this wasn't a Cel Phone pic - but a nice clean copy. I sent off a couple of emails to the folks I know at Paramount Vantage - and that are involved in this production to get a cleaner copy - if this is indeed the final poster. Or hell, it might pop up at another site - if you see it, let me know - and I'll try to get a cleaner copy up here later today - if at all possible. But for now - this is all I've got...

Really like Hustle & Flow, one of my favourite movie from 2005. This movie looks intriguingly hot.

What is it, exactly? Everything I'd read made me think it was a little indy-ish drama, but then I see this poster that looks like the cover of a bloody Mandingo book. Is this a comedy? A satire of some sort? I was hoping to see something where Samuel L goes back to decent acting and whatnot. Can anyone help with a spoiler-free idea of what this thing actually is? Thanks.

My understanding is that this movie is like Misery-in-reverse. Jackson thinks it's his duty to 'save' this girl from a life of sin, so he chains her up in his house until she is 'saved' in the eyes of God.

years". you and no one else, Harry. Everyone else regarded Hustle and Flow as a generic, seen it all before, rise of a struggling music artist movie. There has been a ton of those movies over the past number twenty years or so. This movie was made already and it was called 8 mile.

Saw it about a year ago, maybe a little less...a boring Lifetime movie enlivened by a few shots of Xtina's jugs going swackita-swackita-swack. We like that, but the movie is full of Sam Jackson and Ricci learning to heal each other. Then Justin Timberlake comes on as a squeaky-voiced Iraq vet. It made me think Brewer has more movies in him than Hustle & Flow, but this one sho nuff ain't actually GOOD.

There's two alternates out there as well - one spotlighting just Jackson, one just Ricci. I love the Ricci one, though it draws obvious comparisons to Uma Thurman on PULP FICTION.
