Didn't Leary & Tolan learn anything from The Job...

    by sledge hammer

...They should stick with cable, where their work will be better appreciated, as well as allowing them to tell the kind of stories and do the kind of shows and characters that they want to do, with far fewer limitations. NBC will likely cancel them inside of six episodes, if it gets to series point, anyhow, regardless of how good it is, as soon as they see that it's not an insta-blockbuster breakout hit. I'll watch it if/when it airs, I just don't expect it to last long or be treated very well. Wonder if Leary is also going to appear in front of the camera on this one as well...

"The O.C MASTERMIND!?!" HA! That's hilarious.

Who's the "mastermind" of One Tree Hill, out of curiosity?

    Another cop show from Leary?

    by nabster

As much as I like Rescue Me, I seriously don't want to see another cop show from Leary. In both the Job and Rescue Me there is too much Leary worship, where he portrays himself as this macho tough guy, its really getting old. There is also too much trademark leary humour in these shows, it just gets a bit stale, as I asume his new show will too.

    by danielkurland

and really, another show about young, attractive spies? It's becoming the next cop drama.

The Right Girl For Bionic Woman?

    by b0d

Easy. Jill Wagner from that Blade show. Wasn't much of a fan of the show but I remember thinking she'd be perfect for Bionic Woman, and not just because the name fits.
Btw, I want a Bionic Man series too.

    by filmfanatic1

Well, Josh Schwartz has a lot of time to develop this pilot because they just cancelled THE O.C.

    Rescue Me is awesome, but...

    by shermdawg

the last two episodes of season three were lame as hell. The Chief shoulda died. Lou shoulda took over in his role. Johnny should have ended up in a wheelchair, and next season, the big thing owuld be Janet trying not to tell him that the baby was actually Tommy's. Seriously, killing Johnny off and Tom not really giving a shit about it was almost as bad as the way Tony was axed on 24. Supporting characters deserve a payoff before getting killed. My predictions for season four? Tommy's a ghost.

I agree about The Chief on Rescue me...

    by sledge hammer

... I totally disagree about Johnny though. I mean in real life nobody gets a "payoff" before they die either, shit just happens. I mean I've been a fan of Dean Winters since his Oz days, and it was a shock to see him go out like that, but that's a good thing in my books, not a bad one.

    Yea Dean Winters is excellent

    by nabster

Rescue Me in general really is a fantastic show, but there are just too many parallels to the Job, although Rescue Me is clearly superior. I just find the incessant hero worshipping of Leary in the show tiresome, we are constantly reminded how cool and hard he is, it just gets a bit much. I like most of the humour except for the angry Leary spiel which is just too repetitive. Also the gay Fireman, and the other dumb one are just too stupid, you know what I mean? They are boderline retarded, anyhow when does season 4 start?

Does This Mean Less BSG Time for David Eick?

    by nohubris

It will be interesting to see if David Eick:(a) hands over more BSG duties to Ronald Moore now that he has another show(b)has no more time to write BSG scripts because he will be writing Bionic Woman scripts(c)hires Ron Moore and other BSG to writers to work Bionic Woman.
