Don't Forget!! The First Day Of Not-Sweeps Brings The First New SCRUBS Since May 16!!

Published at:  Nov 30, 2006 8:20:06 AM CST

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

Longtime AICN contributor Kevin Biegel, today a revered “Scrubs” scribe, depends on this sitcom for his very livelihood. Strange but true.

TV Guide says:

In the sixth-season opener, J.D. deals with the news that he's going to be a father; Dr. Cox worries about how his anger is going to affect his offspring; and the Janitor wonders whether his personal vendetta against J.D. is a waste of time. Blue Man Group appears. Dr. Kim Briggs: Elizabeth Banks. Jordan: Christa Miller. Keith: Travis Schuldt.

But TV Guide is not telling you everything! Learn what it’s hiding, via the miracle that is invistotext.

Some of the cast play dual roles this week. Also? Dr. Cox uses insults in an effort to belittle J.D.

9 p.m. Thursday. NBC.

NBC has never given this show ANY support. I think I saw maybe one three second spot about "ALL NEW SCRUBS" and that was it. Does anyone else think they are putting this show up against 'Grey's Anatomy' to make the ratings decline on purpose to finally get rid of this show? I just don't get how NBC constantly throws money at crappy sitcoms but has never put any kind of effort into developing 'Scrubs'. Time for a drink.

so funny. I Was so depressed a couple years ago, had never seen one episode, when a friend turned me on to them. I spent days downloading every episode and watching them. you can't laugh that hard for that long, and still be touched by real moments and not feel good afterwards. by evilwizardglick

Green Wing was far better than Scrubs ever could have been. The characterizations were excellent. The comedy was over the top funny and original. Mark Heap and Michelle Gomez are the funniest people ever to grace the small screen. How many television shows actually allow a man to have sex with his mother? It will be sadly missed. But there is a Christmas episode due out soon.

    NBC- Staffed by morons

    by plum

Through 5 years of shifting timeslots, getting treated like a midseason replacement, and low promotional efforts, Scrubs has held on to its little audience. Rather than appreciate this, NBC has chosen to take advantage of the cult and continue the abuse. Season 5 was brilliant nevertheless (aside from the stupid finale), so I'm really looking forward to tonight.

    by wickedmonster

I went on a two-month Scrubs marathon after I graduated and was still unemployed. I think it kept me sane through the ordeal.

It used to be going around during the day for job seeking and interviews and my afternoons would be spent watching this show until late night.

Watched 4 seasons just like that, and when I finished the last episode of the 4th season, guess what? I got hired!

It was like breeze. I would recommend this to anyone who is going through stuff in life.

I found out about this show later and subsequently have religiously watched every episode on comedy central. It never fails to cover a great life lesson, and does so with wit, class, and an easiness that I just dont see in any other show right now. Right next to the office, it really is the best live action show on tv.

In spite of my qualms with the show as of late, I still do admit that out of the sitcoms that have been on TV lately, it definitely stand out. Lawrence has more or less confirmed that this is the last season though, so great ratings I don't think are going to make much of a difference. Keep an eye out for David Cross guest starring this season, and if all the paperwork played out properly, he'll be playing Tobias.

Maybe if Arrested Development had gotten another season it would have surpassed Scrubs, but there's something about this show that I just love. Great. I would like to put my bike in her trunk. God I love this show. At least NBC keeps it around, even if they ignore it, rather than outright cancelling it (a la Fox's usual trick) in favour of a bonus hour of "Deal or No Deal or Fat Inbred Hick With a Lack of Understanding of Basic Mathematics Making Poor Decisions and Walking Home With $2500 When He Could Have Had $350,000"

And keep the show going after Braff leaves, since this will most likely be Braff's last season. The show CAN'T continue without JD. BUT if it does, I'd prefer they don't bring in a new person, and instead just focus on an existing character, preferable Elliot.

It was still good, but Elliott's ugly haircut, Tara Reid and toomuch Jordan. I think season 5 is great, although I still wish it didn't go for the brighter colors, and I miss Elliot wearing her Scrubs. But I loved the Mandy Moore episodes, and KEith is a great addition as Elliot's boyfriend. Lawerence has said someone who is not a regular, but has been on all six seasons will die this season--I bet it's Jordan. Also, can't wait for the musical episode, with the music being done by the Avenue Q people.

I love that Turk STILL can't remember that Carla is Dominican. And Braff lost weight! Good, cuz JDs head was looking huge last season.___________re:EWS, while Scrubs is a comedy, when it comes to death, it's never played as a joke. That's why I figured whoever would die would be someone with a real impact on the main group. And Jordan's death would really give McGinley some footage for that Emmy he really wants.

I did not think Season 5 was up to the previous 4; made JD a little too gay and everything was a little too sitcom-y for a while. It was still one of the better shows on the air though. Last night's was the best since "My Drive By" in season 4.

What the hell is up with Cox-y's hair? I loved the little bumper during the office when they turned the lights on and Turk said something like "It's about time, Carla's been pregnant for like 17 months." This episode would have benefited greatly from a replay of last season's finale. I was hoping Comedy Central would have gotten to that episode before the premiere. Otherwise something was off in the episode. It seemed more sappy, and less witty, than before.

Was the short cutaway scene where Dr. Reid calls a bearded doctor Dr. Beardface before yelling at him (at first it seemed sort of as a throw away joke) but at the end of the scene he says back to her before storming out "It's pronounced Beardfasay".
