STAR WARS EPISODE ONE Trailer Description... Non-Spoiler, but link!!!

Published at:  Feb 18, 1999 7:00:43 PM CST

Well, what seems to be the first shot for shot description for the second EPISODE ONE trailer can be found at TheForce.Net!!! I have gone through their breakdown, and while I can't confirm that this is the second trailer (as I have not yet seen it, though we all will in a couple of weeks) I can confirm that every scene is in the film, that every line is accounted for, and that it is definately a radically different style trailer for the first one.

What I'm personally curious about is this... With John Williams recording music.... Is it possible or probable that we may get to hear the first few bars of the new music? This trailer would be the sort of action packed mind blowing scope-showing trailer that would really give everyone just exactly a sense of how HUGE this film is.

In addition I can now confirm that George Lucas will be directing the next two films. I talked with Ron Howard about EDtv, and couldn't help but bring up well... the obvious. Apparently this is George's first film that he has ever made that he is 100% happy with, that he had a joy making, and he loves the process again. And just for those that wonder what Ron thought... he loved it, and was especially amazed at how he completely bought the CG characters as characters and not effects.

tick tock tick tock... we haven't much longer to go my friends...

WOW. I read it and I can't wait.

    by violet fire

Hey kids!!! I read the shot for shot thing at TheForce.Net and all I can Say is "Wow!!!!!" I can not wait. This is going to be a spectacular movie. From Darth Maul on the cliff to Obi Wan and Qui-Gon cutting down droids. My God it is going to be awesome. After all I've read and seen well any doubts I had are gone. Bring on those slick ships and that better technology. I am ready for it.
Plus the news that George is directing the next two. AWESOME.
Only a few more months and it's going to kill me. This is going to rock kids. I don't care what all of you naysayers say...because I am a true Star Wars fan and always will be there for it. May the Force be with us once more.
    See you later.

    F**k 'em

    by severian

Something in Violent Fire's post touched a little chord in me (in a good way). After reading this trailer description, I have NO doubts, and no naysayers can possibly get to me at this point. When I finally go to see the movie on opening day (a day which has never been further away than it is now), I won't have any of that negative stuff in my mind to take away from the enjoyment, even if I do keep reading all the talkbacks. And I am so excited about just seeing this trailer. I'm glad it has Jar Jar dialogue, Boss Nass, Gungans, Jabba, more space battles, more Maul, et cetera. Let's not let petty issues get in the way of all of this, and let's not let all those antagonists bother us.

I want to know where this is NOT showing

    by bundren

I read the description and it sounds super-cool. But it sounds too long to me, and with too much dialogue, and I'm worried it will take away a not of nice surprises come May. Maybe I'm hoping for the impossible, but I want to go to this movie with very fresh eyes -- the last trailer was a nice, quick teaser, and left me as satisfied if I want to be at this point. Of course, if this new trailer comes on in my local multiplex, I seriously doubt I'll be able to close my eyes and plug my ears. Oh, the anticipation!!

    by doughboy

It doesn't reveal the one thing I've been dying to know for nearly two years now. What in God's name is the proper pronunciation of "Qui-Gon Jinn"? Does anyone have a clue, cuz I'm still trying to figure it out.

Does Harry ever post here? I just got around to reading the Newsweek article. I hadn't heard about the film that guy was making, about the trip to see Episode 1. It sounds cool. Hey, if any body knows, can you give me any info on how the legalities of indie film work? I mean, If I want to submit a film to festivals, do I have to get speacial permit's or , whatever? and what about music? I figure I have to get permission to use it, but is that a huge deal?

    Get off the bandwagon!!!

    by sketchy

I think I might be the biggest star wars fan out there. You guys have no idea how much it means to me. I own the entire triology of the original movies and I have tons of the star wars toys. But when I come on here and see all of these other people creaming their pants over star wars, it pisses me off. I resent all the fanfare that has recently come about. Where were you all five years ago when star wars was all but forgotten about? But now that the old trilogies came out and these prequels are coming out, suddenly everyone is a star wars fanatic. It's almost turned me off to the entire star wars thing altogether because I'm starting to just feel like a sheep amongst a large flock. I used to be one of a small group of hardcore fans and it gave me some individuality, but now all of these people are jumping on the bandwagon, and it makes it difficult to distinguish the hardcore fans like me that have been there from the beginning and the shmucks that have recently just joined in.

To watch, or not to watch...

    by peteski

First off, I am also worried about this new improved trailer. I know of many people (myself included) who have said that they would be perfectly happy if the teaser was the only thing we would see until May 21. Obviously we all knew this could not be. Honestly, I am quite surprised that with only 91 days to go, we haven't seen more. Because of this I can only assume that Georgie-porjy is only releasing footage and images that he *wants* us to see. So I will trust that George knows what he's doing. And hell, even if I didn't trust him, I wouldn't have much choice - like ANY of us could close our eyes and ears during a PHANTOM MENACE trailer!! I still haven't gotten sick of watching the teaser!! Oh and hey, does anyone have a specific date for when this new trailer will be in theaters? -peteski@spinninghead.com PS If you're having trouble keeping track of just how many days are left until PM opens, then you might want to think of DLing a desktop Ep1 countdown clock. The only one I know of is available at these two URLs: http://welcome.to/fooware and at http://beam.to/thejunk

We have all been hardcore fans and maybe we see things a little differently than you do, but we are all hardcore fans. Just like everything else, you have your purists. People who believe it should not be dealt with. Then there are those who are so happy to see the saga furthered, even if it is prequels. Lay off of the people who are excited about it. I do not think he said you were not a fan, did he? To think you have been the only one out there worshiping this shit is stupid. Keep your expectations low people, it's the ONLY that you will be pleasantly surprised on May 21st... Here's a hint on May 20th watch Willow, ROTJ, More American Grafitti, and The Ewok adventures... Twice! After that even Showgirls seems palatable (well almost).

Not one who bitches about George Lucas'e bad movies (and yes there are some) or his new sleek ships but one who accepts what Star Wars is what it is. I don't like your sarcasm. So take your sarcasm and stick it up your ass. Accept the fact that there are fans left in the world who like stuff because of what it is and Not what it isn't or what it could be. Every one of us is a sheep in a certain number of flocks, and the best thing to do is accept it and choose the flock you most prefer. Rejecting suck a concept puts you into one of the biggest flocks of all; that one with all those bitter, self-proclaimed non-conformists who are all indistinguishable from one another. Personally, I enjoy being part of the Star Wars flock of sheep, and I tend to embrace it. It could be worse... I could be a conservative republican or a neo-nazi instead.

I always thought Yoda was Obi-wan's master, now it seems like Qui-Gon Jinn is. Maybe Yoda started Obi-wan's training and now Qui-Gon Jinn is just completing it. Any thoughts?

Oh yeah, why does everyone hate ROTJ? I've always loved it. I think the final space battle is the best action sequence since the Battle of Hoth. And who cares about the Ewoks! They didn't ruin the movie for me, if anything did, it was that pathetic conversation Luke had with Leia about her being his sister.

    by violet fire

I agree with Darth Bane. Why does hate everyone hate ROTJ. I personally like it. maybe it doesn't exceed ESB in movie making quality but it is certainly entertaining. And the scene between Vader, Luke and the Emperor after Darth's hand is cut off is one of the best in the series. Plus that death scene with Luke and Vader. Very touching.
Also I was just thinking that any sane person would think the way we talk with each other they would think we were retarded or something.

Man, if you're actually *angry* that people other than you want to see Star Wars, you've got some serious issues to deal with. You're in for one bitter summer, 'cause a whole lotta "bandwagon" fans are gonna be watching your movie.

If you honestly derive any of your "individuality" from the fact that you like a movie that literally millions of others also like, well... you need help, big guy.

    1. Ewoks, Ewoks, Ewoks
    2. The Tone is Inconsistent
    3. The Look is all wrong
    4. It's just a bunch of Muppets
    5. Painful Lack of Innovation
    6. "Witty" Banter
    7. Physical Comedy
    8. Uninteresting Locales
    9. The Forest Battle on Endor
    10. Solo

    Dolfanar's Lucas theory

    by vermilion

What's that you say? See which films? Willow, ROTJ, More American Grafitti, and The Ewok adventures?

Hmmmm. Yep, George Lucas' name is on those - producing and some degree of story. Did he actually direct them, though? Y'know, he didn't direct those. Funny, thing, that. Lucas has only directed a few films - and just 3 big ones. You've got Star Wars: A new Hope, American Graffiti and THX 1138. Hmmm. And which one of those sucked?

    - Vermilion, who admits Lucas has released some junk, but he's never directed a bad film, and Star Wars and Graffiti are recognized as *great* American films.

ROTJ - to hate or not to hate.

    by foxforce5

ROTJ is not all muppets.Yes at the start of the film there are a few, but
most of them are animatronics. I will admit though. It is the worst of three.
The whole movie after Jabba's Palace.Becomes about getting to the end
of the film as fast as possible.I don't like that they reused a Deathstar
again. They could have come up with something more orginal, but even
you gotta admit the ending space battle sequences, especially for the time
were amazing. The long shot were the rebel ships follow the Mellenium Falcon
in between the much larger rebel ships. Is a classic shot. The falcon comes
real close to the camera. It's a dizzing scene.Works much better on the big
screen though.I saw Star Wars as a kid in 1977 and i saw Empire & Jedi
as well. I mostly remember ROTJ and i remember being amazed as a kid.
Yes,the Ewoks are annoying and to cute for there own good, but some get
killed. I myself like the forest battle. Especially the John williams score that
acompanies it. Han Solo seems more comical for his own good in ROTJ
and the ending being a celebration with the ewoks was awful. It left you
thinking. So this is how it all ending. With a bunch of midgets in bear suits.
The special Edition helped a bit. By making it a bit more grand in scope.
I don't know really.I still like ROTJ. I guess it has alot of flaws, but it also has
enough good stuff to satisfy me.

Just read the Trailer description for Episode 1. And I'm telling you right now that the coolest scene in Episode 1 well be the Underwater Battle. The Pod Race well rock the Dog Fights well rock and the CGI charicters well rock but the Underwater Battles are something the we have never seen before on any film. by john mclame

While Han & Leia didn't have as an important role in ROTJ, I think the rest more than made up for it.
THe Space Battle, LUke v Vader, Ewoks vs. the Empire, & the Jabba stuff. All that was just so outstanding & well done. The 3 parallel action scenes at the end were cut together so well, & let's face it, StarWars was mostly about Luke, so should ROTJ also be?

    by alexf302

I'm just posting because I'm sick and tired of all you morons who constantly bash Lucas and Star Wars. You accuse the real Star Wars fans of being geeks, yet you hang around in message forums all goddamn day long, find out every bit of information you can about Star Wars and Lucas, and then come in here and say it all sucks. And you all know you love Star Wars anyway. All you so called Lucas-haters know more about the freakin guy than the fans do. "Oh yeah I hate Lucas but I know exactly how many pubic hairs he had when he wrote ROTJ!!!" Yeah, Ok people. I'm sorry, but when I hate someone, I don't waste my goddamn life finding out everything I can about the guy. There's better things to do with one's time. And stop saying that Ep. 1 is gonna suck. The fuckin movie doesn't come out for three months! Do you all have fucking time machines?!?!? What are you basing that on? The freakin two minute trailer generated more money than most movies do. After the you actually see the movie, then you can say whatever the fuck you want. But, until then, stop trying to piss on the happiness and excitment that the rest of us are feeling about Episode 1.

All you non-believers will be sucking Lucas' left nut come May 21 and licking the dead skin that falls from his body. Oh and uh one more thing... Sam Jackson fucking rocks!!!

Exellent! Just when I started to get sick of the images from the first trailer, we get more NEW images! This trailer sound a lot better than the first one, and unlike the first one all the FX shots will be finished. Does any body know what Dath Maul's voice sounds like? Hail GL!

How GL could tweak ROTJ and make it cool...

    by frank rizzo

If you ask me, ROTJ was a letdown but still a very good flick. Maybe after the prequel trilogy is complete and the CG is even more radically advanced, George could make another special edition. CHANGES THAT WOULD MAKE ROTJ KICK ASS: 1) Why is Luke wearing black, he should be wearing the brown/tan Jedi color scheme. A little CG touchup would solve this. 2) Every damn muppet in Jabba's palace, should be replaced with a realistic CG alien. 3)NO dance number. What were you on, George? 4) Re-edit the Boba-Fett death scene--it should take much more of a struggle to kill him. 5) Every scene with Ewoks...replace with a similar scene only with wookies, as God intended. High-tech stormtroopers scared silly from angry stone-age animals who want to pull arms from sockets--yeah! Shots with Ewoks and faceless stormtroopers could be refilmed entirely with no one the wiser, while scenes with Ewoks and Leia, Luke, etc...well, they could keep the human actors and replace the ewoks with some sort of CG trickery. 6)Also, leave out the silly-assed slapstick physical comedy. This is why the Ewoks are considered silly, while the equally small and silly-looking Yoda is not. He was funny verbally, not in a clowning around way. Anyhow, compared to the CG they are doing now, this would be a piece of cake! Especially in 10 years or so, whenever they are ready to release a 6-movie boxed set and the CG is even more advanced. At any rate, I think the only way TPM will be a disappointment will be if it gets ROTJ-itis. Jar-Jar might be a bit clownish, and some aliens (Sebulba!) look muppet-ish even though they are CG. Plus, let's hope that TPM and the next two don't rehash the ANH/ROTJ plot, which was essentially the same. (Good guys must stop bad guys from using the "ultimate weapon", only now maybe it is the kaibur crystal or some other crap). Of course, whenever I feel doubts I just watch the trailer and my faith is renewed...

    by frank rizzo

Switch to decaf and SHUT YOUR DIRTY COCK LOCKER. You could have at least ragged on Star Wars in a funny way and not taken up more space then the United States constitution. And pulling that stunt where you make the talkback forums wider than your mom's dirt box after payday at the local Navy base--that ain't cool. I go to Star Trek talkbacks and make fun, but I don't trash their whole forum.

No - they should remake ROTJ like this

    by well hung ewok

    1) The Ewoks rape the princess when she first arrives at the village. 2) Include a scene where Han needs to jerk off because he's been frozen for so long and chewbacca helps him out. He gets his stuff on C-3P0 and the droid starts to rust. "Curses!", C-3P0 would yell out and then kick R2-D2 "This is all your fault". 3) Luke takes a dump in the endor forest and just when he's pulling his pants up, a stormtrooper comes out of nowhere and trys to pull off something out of "Deliverance". Lucas castrates the horny fellow with his saber. Yo Let me get a shout out to my homies at Fredrick's of Hollywood, Cheech and Chong, and Roberto. Kill the whites. Peace out.

    HEY HARRY!

    by l'auteur

to Harry: please get rid of LukeandLeia69's post; he fucked up the site. To all those who complain about the hype: look around; WE ARE THE HYPE. One Trailer and one Vanity Fair cover is nothing compared to what Hollywood did last year with GODZILLA. All this hype on the internet is pure and real, because it is being made by the fans themselves. And to the idiot who claims to be one of the original fanboys: where were YOU five years ago? The reason why it appears that all these fanboys have come out of the woodwork is that now, with Episode 1 coming out, we finally have something to talk about. Five years ago, there was no AICN to post these "bandwagon" opinions as you call them. And five years ago, I loved Star Wars just as much as I do now, but I wouldn't have sought out a loser like you just so we could discuss how lame the Ewoks were in ROTJ. It's not a bandwagon; it just so happens that SW is more fun to talk about with other people when its in anticipation of the new one. And finally to everyone: why is it that the STAR WARS talkbacks are always the least interesting. It's because you get a bunch of people who can say nothing more than "gee whiz i cant wait" countered with a bunch of people like JMS who think theyre cool by making unfounded bashes of it. Does anyone out there have anything intelligent to say whatsoever about SW? I didnt think so. I guess Ill just go masterbate to The Empire Strikes Back soundtrack and think how the movie is only 3 months and 2 daze away.

mostly in ref to Dolfanars post, but...

    by peteski

It may be usefull to some folks out there to approach TPM the same way I am - hope for the best, prepare for the worst and expect nothing. If there's one thing Hollywood types know how to do well it's how to screw up a good thing. That's why I'm not expecting TPM to be the best thing to come along since, well, STAR WARS, but I don't want to remove the suspense by seeing too much of the movie before May 21. Why shoot yourself in the foot? Anyway, my point is that if you don't go in there thinking this is going to be the next Citizen Kane or Das Boot, you'll probably get your money's worth. BUT, if you think, 'Hey cool - I like Ewan McGregor and that Portman chick is kinda cute, and HEY, it's directed by the same guy who directed SW...' I think you'll be able to avoid disappointment. Regardless, I'm going opening night - even if I have to see the 1:15am show (okay, so maybe I'm a little more excited about it than I thought) - and I KNOW the crowd will still make it worth the $8.50 to get in even if the movie sucks a buffalo's right buttock. Oh and Dolfy, I am critical about things that deserve it - aside from ROTJ's teddy bears, SW has been a consistently entertaining entity unlike another scifi franchise that shall remain dreck for some time to come, I'm afraid.

    Where's Anakin?

    by sourmilk

I noticed the heavy Naboo content of Trailer B. Where is all the Anakin stuff from Trailer A? The fact that the two trailers could focus on different subjects in the same film is a good thing. It shows that "TPM" has potential to be better than "Empire." It also runs the risk of being at the level of "Jedi." Besides, not all of "Jedi" is bad. The space battle at Endor is still the best space battle in movie history. I am proud to be a Star Wars fan. May 21st is the day for unabashed fandom. As one of the great thinkers of our time said, "Wave your freak flag high." Look at it this way: it could be worse, we could be flaming liberals Democrats or socialists.

The post above me by Dolfanar is bizarre. Dolfanar and JMS are both talkback goons. But Dolfanar tries to annoy people in the talkback in an unfunny manner. At least JMS ramblings are funny sometimes. Dolfanar tries to annoy people seriously. Then he has the nerve to make a negative comment about JMS. Anyway I for one am glad JMS brought up Enter the Dragon. It is great on DVD, and it looks great on an anamorphic TV. It's also a special edition, and you can find it cheaper than movies made by Disney or Fox. Make sure you FIGHT DIVX!

Why no one replies to JMS...

    by rebel scum

It's rather easy to understand why no one replies here on TalkBack to the (obviously) seeded posts by JMS. Because that's what JMS wants, to get a rise out of people with the anti-SW mumbo-jumbo, also because JMS knows that if he\she posts stuff like that on a Star Wars related thread. He\she is guaranteed a response here and flames to his\her email. I, for one, don't really care about JMS spoutings, with a click of a button I can pass over it to someone who wants to TALK about the article and not trying to call attention to his or herself. But remember, TalkBack is open to everyone, and that means there's always one or two people who want to ruin it for everyone else.
And for LukeandLeia69...well...do I really need to say more?

    Cameron's a fucker so actually...

    by l'auteur

...i kinda liked the anti-Cameron rant. James Cameron is an asshole and a sell-out. I admit his movies are damn good (except for the sell-out crapfest with the three worst actors of all time, TRUE LIES), but he is such a prick that i encourage you all to movie-hop into his next film. The definition of movie-hopping is when you either sneak into a film (not hard in a busy multiplex, i havent paid for a movie i ages, which helps me sleep better at night when i see how fucking terrible th movies are) or when you buy a ticket for a respectable film and then walk into a different one. So, if any of you have read the ridiclously greedy comments Cameron has made (check out his interview in PREMEIRE where he says that ticket prices should be doubled because "theres no profit in moviemaking"), then youll agree that while all of his films should be seen, none of them should be paid for. But i guess in an apathetic world like ours, where people only want their eye-candy and dont give a shit about principals, thats alot to ask for.

    idiot speaking

    by l'auteur

I, the "idiot", can call Cameron a sell-out because he is. Does that mean I have to include every single OTHER sell-out as well. Of course, not, that would take forever considering Hollywood's full of them. As for Lucas, the cynical part of me says that after the success of star wars, he sold out by becoming a producer. The Fanboy in me says that he did that because directing was too stressful (read Easy Riders, Raging Bulls... the making of STAR WARS was a nightmare). Whatever your opinion of Lucas and StarWars is, i think its safe to say that anyone (meaning everyone from the biggest SW fans to the biggest SW haters) has the potential to be proven wrong on May 21st so why dont we wait until then to deliver the judgment of Geogre Lucas. The movie could be a masterpiece or a travesty, and despite morons like Luke and Leia 69ing who are trying to pawn fake scripts, no one really knows so lets just wait and see, mm-K?

    by gomer

Listen dude, I am one of those hard core ("my god is this all he thinks about?") Star Wars fans. But although a portion of my identity is that I am a Star Wars geek, it does not bother me that others like the movie as well. If anything, it goes to show that we (the early adopters) were not just crazy, but we know a good movie before the "herds of sheep" caught on. The main reason Star Wars became such a big hit was not really because of the movie's quality. But because the movie binded all of us together. Blacks, Whites, Aisians, Australians, Guatamalin's, New Hampshites, pretty much every human that has seen a bunch of movies has seen Star Wars. That in and of itself is what made Star Wars into a "religous" kind of phenomenon. It has done what treaties and UN efforts could not, it brought people together in a way that they could all relate to one another. It helped us to create a collective conciousness that up until then was unprecedented. You could talk about Star Wars to anyone, and they will all be able to talk about it back. If you tried to talk to someone at random about a movie such as Evil Dead 2 (one of my all time favorites by the way) there is a good chance that they will not know what you are talking about. Star Wars has always been about community and giving the masses a common ground to stand on. That is why everyone is getting on the bandwagon, and if you ask me it is not a bad thing.

    Nasty Combat.

    by shadow lord

Jeez, sure does get nasty here doen't it? From flames to curssing, talkbacks are generally a warzone. Espically when it comes to star wars. first off, leiaandluke, the audience you are describing are the small hardcore audience that follows star wars. Every franachise has them. Take the dame trekkies for instance, so you can bash them all you want. I have a very normal life, and I don't considre myself a sci-fi"geek". Dolfanar, I can see some of your points. Some people do put lucas in idol status, which is wrong. He has directed some good movies(star wars), but he has had his share of clunkers(Willow). As for return of the jedi, inferior to empire strikes back, but had a few great points(that space battle was awesome). Star Wars itself, it did revlutionaize the sci-fi genre, by showing people there was value in decent sci-fi movies. As a movie, it had great special effects and acting, but the plot was only average. And finally JMS. You have some major personaly issues. Go get help. As for the new movie, I don't know. I'm not particrally enthustaic about it as everyone else is, but that doesn't mean it will be a bad movie. I'll probably see it on video, though.

What can I say that accurately describes the excitement I'm feeling, knowing that this trailer is just another uber-cool glimpse into the AMAZING film that awaits us on May 21.

And lastly, to JMS. Do you realize how much time you've wasted spewing your crap in TalkBack? Quite a bit. And most of it the time of people who don't feel the need to throw their weight around and insult people left and right because of something they enjoy. So what if they think that SW:TPM is going to be an INCREDIBLE event of a film, which I have no doubt it will be. If you can't get over the fact that there a lot of GOOD people wanting to see this film, that's a shame. But please, go ahead and waste everyone's time with another rant. It seems that's all you do when a SW article pops up anyway. If you want to tear me a new one, go right ahead because I really don't care what you say. Me and 99.9% of the other movie fans who think INTELLIGENT discussion accomplishes more than one long-winded, mean spirited rant that paints a clear picture of the person who wrote it, and JMS, your picture doesn't look all that great.

    Panicin' over Anakin?

    by cleo

First, let me begin that I'm one of the biggest Star Wars nuts out there, so I'm obviously not happy to bring this up: did any of you guys see the Jeffrey Wells article
about TPM (over on Force.net)? He quotes Fox insiders who say Jake LLoyd's acting is so bad that he was dubbed 'Mannequin' Skywalker, and that he pretty much ruins the movie. Now, of course, there are other like Ron Howard who say this is blatantly false, but I don't have a good feeling about this nonetheless. If by chance his acting is bad, I hope that 1) he doesn't have that many lines in the movie (possible, cuz star wars is by and large an action flick), or 2) Lucas has got a skilled, skilled editor (very likely) who can do some major damage control. What I'm saying is that if it really that bad, Lucas edits the movie in such a way as minimize Jake's role, and I'm fairly confident he can do it.
Anyway, hopefully the second trailer will give us a better indication of Jake's acting job.

There's no need to make generalizations like that. Even though at times (like right here and right now, for instance) this may be a little shameful and hard to admit, I am what you might call a "Star Wars fanboy". Even so, I never resort to personal insults, excessive swearing, deification of successful moviemakers, or even broad, insulting generalizations. That's right. People with a weak mind and a weak concience(which is all relative) often try to raise themselves above those that THEY consider to be weak-minded simply by attempting to diminish them in full view of other people. It does work a lot, but the people that are impressed by that are not even worth impressing. Err... I hate to do this, but it's sort of a "the fool, or the fool who follows him" thing. Be nice. That's all I have to say.

  • Is it just me or most of the lines in that trailer description sound just...
well, cheesy. Ok, they may sound that way cause they're out of the context but
still, i 'm starting to fear for the quality of the dialogue in the new star wars.
( i'm not bashing SW, i like it as the every next guy, i'm just trying to
    be objective.)
Now, you 'ewok well hung up' or whatever your name is, you said lotsa things
some bad some not you probably offended mnay SW fans here which i dont care
for but then you just had to go over the line and do that laser pointer thing.
If i see anything on the screen when i go to see them movie i'll kill the guy
responsable for it. I'm not kidding!
And to 'lukeandleia69' ...that was all nice and funny, or at least it would be
if you had bashed all the things and people you menationed there, but you
seem to favorise Kubrick ( 2001 wasn't that good! ) I dont mind you talking
all that crap about trekkies and Spielberg but nooooo! You just had to mention
    J. Cameron's work and X files! Have you forgotten the 11th commandment?
Thou shall not bash Cameron and X files. You sicko!

Now I'll have to go back and read these posts properly, instead of just the first half of each line. It looks like the world kind of works out okay after all. Or something. Probably not. Sorry if this double posted.

WC movie: give it a break

    by moviemaniac

hey all you SW fans who're gonna watch the Wing Commander movie for the SW extended Trailer, give the WC movie a chance will ya?
Wing COmmander is one fo the best games ever made, and if any of you have played Wing Commander 4, you'd know why this game deserves to be made into a movie.
unfortunately, its only had a budget of 27 million, and if u guys see the trailer or commercials, you'll realise that they've accomplished a lot with a measly budget like that. Watch the whole flick, you might like it :)

    Wing Commander

    by 005

It looks like an ok movie. I'll just download it once starwars.com get less traffic (it was impossible to download the first trailer when they first posted it). It's not worth paying $20 (snacks included). Just to see some bad movie because you want to watch the TPM trailer that will be downloadable and will probably be shown on TV like the first one. I saw the first trailer in theaters once and I go to the movies a lot, but I have it on my computer so I don't really care. Just download it and/or tape it on TV, which I also did...

Obviously, when I said "download it" I mean that I would download the The Phantom Menace trailer. Sorry for any confusion.

    cool talkback

    by davey

This talk back is full of passionate discourse, makes it fun to read, totally in your face and no holds barred. Criticism at its best. You guys and gals are biting each other over the internet. Could you imagine if this were like the party lines we would call in the 80's? WOW, what shouting there would be going on.
Now, about Star Wars Ep. 1, try to imagine if the original series didn't exist, what a breath of fresh air it is to look forward to an original sci-fi fantasy flick that doesn't have television stars as their actors, and washed up movie actors trying to do something different with their careers because sci-fi is more popular these days. And anything after that Star Trek "Insurrection" debacle will be sweeter than smelling Stephanie Seymor's neck.
