Yeah... that Harry Potter poster is slick, but OCTOBUTT-NUMB-A-THON's Poster is The Bomb... er.. Bond.. er AMAZING!!!
Hey Folks, Harry here... Got a treat for you. Tired of photographic posters? Want something to make the heart pitter patter? Well, here's a poster that feels almost custom made for me. Heh. That's right, the final poster art for OCTOBUTT-NUMB-A-THON is here.
Crafted by the blistered animating paws of Cartuna (D. Campbell MacKinlay) comes this year's Event poster. Obviously inspired by James Bond, the number 8 - meaning OCT - thus OCTOPUSSY, but with butts. Ah... Genius. The geek mind is really as complicated as that puzzle John Lithgow gives that kid in THE MANHATTAN PROJECT.
The Poster - if you notice from the shape - is BRITISH QUAD shaped, in honor of that from which we draw inspiration. You see... Bond was British. Yes, this will be printed 30x40, thus making it exceptionally difficult to find a frame ready made in the U.S. of A. Sigh. Click on the poster for a bigger image:

Yeah, I want to know what I think too. However, the studio set up a screening in Austin last week and gave me 30 minutes notice, and I was in a meeting at the time. I'm dying to see CASINO ROYALE - so much so, that there's a press screening tomorrow night at the second shittiest theater in Austin - and I just point blank refuse to see it there - so I'll see it at the Alamo Village at midnight. That'll be a cool screening to see BOND at.

i was worried you guys didn't like it and didn't want to say anything because you thought Daniel Craig and the old/new approach has merit worth another go and that you didn't want to write a review that while fair might inadvertantly create bad word of mouth enought that it might overly effect turnout which could hurt the chance for... another chance at this kind of Bond. hey. i'm one of those people who saw Layer Cake and instantly thought 'now this guy could be a cool James Bond'. i'm rooting for him to knock it out of the park. but i'm nervous, cause i want my Bond Begins movie with Daniel Craig to be awesome.

alamo is the only place to see it. i tried to finally see borat last night and it was sold out at the village. granted i had been drinking at a bar and lost track of time but still. oh and whats the worst theatre in austin? gateway 16 or cinemark pflugerville? i say gateway due to its lack of leg space and shitty not quite stadium seating

Be a site to see for sure... watching all you sexless nerds spill over on the seats next to you groaning, smelling of dirty socks, and stroking each others lightsabres. Going to have to spray that theatre down with a hose afterwards. Just make sure you call your parents to pick you up at the right time when its done. Remember harry dont estimate on different size t-shirts to hand out. Just make them all xtra xtra xtra larges and you'll be fine.
