Crispin Glover fans should check out his interview on Tom Green's internet talk show, Tom Green Live. He shows some clips of What Is It? http://www.maniatv.com/video/Tom-Green-Live-With-Crispin-Glover-Ep-40-09-13-06

Saw his presentation of the film at The Anthology Film Archives in NYC on Friday. The slide show was hysterical and the movie was both numbing and hypnotically beautiful, if a little bit TOO obtuse. The Q & A afterwards was useless, as people were asking the same questions about the Downe's Syndrome actors and working with them, and Crispin couldn't answer a question in less than 10 minutes. However, I did meet him after the show and he was truly one of the nicest people I've ever come in contact with. Great guy.

With all due respect to the good folks at AICN... the article above could have used a good proof reading. There are a couple of paragraphs that don't make any sense at all. Just wanted to point that out.

I have it on DVD. Check out The Beaver Trilogy. If you haven't seen it, do so today. Great stuff.

Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take Lorraine out that he'd melt my brain.

You can't have enough George McFly quotes, well BTTF quotes in general.

Would love to see some concept art so I can see what style theyre getting at.

Seriously Capone, I would have been very interested in seeing his opinion on his thoughts of him being a fan-favorite to play the joker and his thoughts on Heath Ledger nabbing the role.

Anyone know when WHAT IS IT will be on DVD?
Nov. 14, 2006, 1:50 p.m. CST
I wonder if his role was underwritten for BTTF 2 & 3 because everyone knew you can't really replace Glover.

What a missed oppurtunity. Brokebat Joker might be ok, but Chrispin would have been perfect.

They try to make me sound a lot weird, and I'm strong, you know, I can arm wrestle, do you want to arm wrestle?

I would assume that everyone involved would like to finish filming the thing in time for the Rapture, so hiring a twitchy unreliable Artiste would probably go against that plan. Hey, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm guessing it takes a lot of babysitting to get a coherent performance out of this guy.

...& I wonder how many hits of acid it took before he got that way. Anyhow, I can't wait for the Wizard of Gore remake to come out. Beowulf should be good as well.

MCMLXXVI IS A WANKER I would have liked to see Glover as the Joker. And I would have liked to have HEARD HIS OPINION ON IT!!!! Seriously how can you not ask about that.

...went from being a sure-fire hit, to a sure-fire blackbook listee, and then grows up, finds his muse, and becomes respectable again by following his heart. Movie of the week.

I saw Crispin present this crap at the Alamo in Austin, and I wanted to throw rotten fish guts at him during the Q&A. Unfortunately, I didn't have any.

Compare Glover's appearance in the "What Is It?" trailer to Ozzy Osbourne's in the "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" video. Discuss. http://tinyurl.com/y7me7l http://tinyurl.com/y83b3e

Yeah, Crispin didn't tell Capone here, but the guys at Scene UNseen (that movie review podcast) did ask him about the Joker and playing Willy Wonka. I think you can find the poscast on iTUnes.
