The CW Brings The First New SMALLVILLE Since May 11!!

Published at:  Sep 28, 2006 7:37:56 PM CDT

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

BEWARE!! SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON AHEAD!!

In five seasons, “Smallville” has introduced us to a handful of icons habitating the sprawling DC Universe: Not just Lois, Clark, Perry, Lana, Pete, Jonathan, Martha, Brainiac and Lex, but also Victor “Cyborg” Stone, Bartholomew “Flash” Allen, Arthur “Aquaman” Curry and Adam “Fake Batman” Knight.

But this season we get Ollie “The Green Arrow” Queen, who’s going to turn up in at least seven episodes to invite Clark to join his exciting Legion of Justice! Or something. Jimmy Olsen finally shows his face as well.

In the meantime, Lex is Zod and Clark is trapped in Krypton’s terrifying extradimensional space prison, the Phantom Zone. Maybe he’ll meet and fall in love with Tinya Wazzo’s great great grandma!

He may not be in the Phantom Zone very long, because Clark discovers “super-breath” in 6.2.

6.3 sees Ollie don a Robin Hood costume and date Lois. But 6.4 is the one titled “Arrow.”

6.5 is titled “Subterranean,” so I’m guessing the those pesky Mole Men turn up.

In 6.6 we learn that Lex and Ollie went to the same rich-kid boarding school together, and they got on like superhero and supervillain.

According to a recent piece by TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello, 6.11 (the season’s midpoint) will be the first Justice League episode, uniting Clark Kent with Queen, Stone, Allen and Curry.

8 p.m. Thursday. The CW.

..I'm going to pretend that the show ended on Episode 100. I used to love Lana, but after seeing the commercials for this season, I'm not into it. This is supposed to be the last season..

Why the hell is Olsen on this?? With the SAME ACTOR they used in the first season episode "Leech". So stupid. Yes it's the guy that played Iceman in the X-men movies. Shawn Ashmore I think it was. They've seemed to have run this series into the ground.

What the hell were the writers thinking? They completely destroyed this show. It has gotten so absured that you can't even called it a Superman show anymore. First off, the whole Lana Lang thing has been going on for 5 fucking seasons. It needs to end asap.

However, she did say "maybe they'll go eight", but if they did, she won't return. You can see the TV Guide channel interview here...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuXVSn66aDA(The url's have been glitchy as of late on AICN, so remember to eliminate the space that will probably show up when ya copy and paste it.)

Of course I'm biased, but I gotta agree with Mike_D.

    by shermdawg

There's a strong possibility the show's quality may improve greatly this season. I got a feeling after the lukewarm reception Returns got, they might just get their act together and go balls out on these last two(?) seasons. If there was any current show screaming to have a big screen spinoff, it's this one. But, I don't expect much of an improvement in the ratings. My local CW channel is only available through basic cable, just like the WB was before it, and some areas can't even get the channel at all, unless they have sattelite. (I'm guessing on that though, because I'm not that familiar with whats offered through the dish) There was this guy in the VM tb that said he couldn't even get the network in Hawaii. Which leads me to believe the merger isn't gonna help all that much. The shows will still be hampered with low ratings, because of the status of the availability, or lack there of.So if anyone tries to slam Smallville, Supernatural, Veronica, or the Gilmores for being low rated, just remind them why that is.

I think we went over why Lex ran last year.

    by shermdawg

If I remember correctly, Lex was ten years old in the opening scenes of the pilot which was set in 1989. That would make him 26 years old when he ran for state senate. Given his age, I doubt he would run for, or even be considered for the U.S.Senate. no matter how much cash he had at his disposal. Remember, this is a prequel, Lex is slowly rising to power. Also, the senate race was a plot device for Jonathan Kent. Why would he want a U.S. Senate seat?

I imagine the reason Lex ran for State Senate as opposed for the US Senate is bc like you said he's just 26, meaning he's fours years too young if I remember correctly. The minimum age is 30 for the US Senate, 25 for House, and 35 to be president/vp.

He could have tried to become a Congressman, but that would have been a stretch for Jonathan's character.

    by acappellaman

Sure, there are a couple episodes now and then that aren't up to snuff, but there's plenty to enjoy.

I can only think of two powers Clark still needs to discover - super breath, which is apparently being taken care of in episode 2, and telescoping vision. Technically, I suppose you could count flight, but he flew as Kal El, which makes it count for me. You know in the series finale, though, the ending shot will be Clark in costume flying up towards the camera into the sky with a wicked grin on his face. I can't wait for that moment!

Time to stop comparing SMALLVILLE's continuity to DC's

    by spyguy

If it helps the comic geeks any, think of SMALLVILLE as it was published by Marvel and called "Ultimate Superman." Yeah, it would be cool if SMALLVILLE lined up with the comics or even the Donner films, but even the Donner films had their own continuity separate from DC's. (Or did I miss the part where Jor-El had white hair and Lex Luthor had an idiot henchman named Otis?)

    Art, Trash, and Smallville

    by leflambeur

Pauline Kael said that so seldom are movies great art that in order to enjoy them we have to learn to appreciate great trash. This statement is even truer for television. Which is why I love Smallville. It is great trash. Now alot of TV trash is just trash, (Trading Spouces, Springer, etc) but Smallville is great. The charachters are entertaining, the direction is technically proficient, and the writing is laughable when it isn't juicy. Anyway, thats my excuse for liking this show.

It's got to be better than Season 4

    by mrd

S4 sucked. The whole Lana thing was awful - Smallville cum Charmed. The loss of Pa Kent really hurts the show though, and the only reason I still watch is for Lex. Rosenbaum is all sorts of fantastic in the role, and with any luck Lana will spurn him and he'll beat her to death with a tire iron. Not that violence against women is funny, just violence against Lana.

This show is so awful now

    by bitterman23

Not that it was ever amazing, but it was at least entertaining enough. But the last two seasons have been almost entirely awful, with bizarre attempts at copying famous movies (the "Saw" episode was a particular "gem"). plus theyve gone beyond the entire original concept of the show (lex and clark as friends, clark learning his powers...).

AND HOW MANY GODDAMN CARS CAN LANA AFFORD?

I actually have no problem with the homage to the Donner era, I thought it was cool...its just that Superman is just such a tired property, which is why Smallville has some redeeming qualities since it TRIES to take a new slant on old shit. of course it fails miserably sometimes..but at least it tries.

You can get seasons 1-4 for like $20 bucks a pop every now and then. And Adam Knight was Ian Sommer-whats-his-name (Boone from Lost) who was introduced in season three as Lana's physical therapist, and was her second recurring "love interest" (well third if you count the brief fling she had with Clark before the red kryptonite incident). Adam was actually a Zombie.Trivia...Lana has had 5 recurring love interests/boyfriends and each has died.

I just wish from this point onward (how many more seasons can there be) that they would just focus on the Superman mythology (and do away with the extraneous stuff like the Lana Witch thing). This show has always been moments of greatness along with alot of filler. Last season had it's moments, James Marsters' Brainiac was a great addition and the Fortress of Solitude episodes were quite good. However, adding all these new heroes in the new season has and always will distract from what the show should be always about. How about more stories involving Clark Kent turning into Superman, and more Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor, that's all we want to see!

how long it will take for someone to end up in the Smallville hospital. Freakin' show is so damn repetitive but somehow keeps getting me to tune in. I guess I am just one of those "dummies."

Why is it that nobody knocks before entering a room on this show, people rarely say goodbye and just walk away from conversations, and rather than using a phone to get the most brief of message to someone drive to hell and back just to drop their bomb for a moment and then take off. Smallville might not be much of a Superman show but it can sure be turned into one hell of a drinking game.

Global leader in head trauma care. How many fricking people get brought in there after getting knocked out so that they couldn't see Clark being super? Don't mind me, I'm still just bitter that it wasn't Darkseid who stepped out of the spaceship in the Season 5 opener, who would have then become the principal at Smallville High, leading to Clark getting into tussles with the Hall Anti-Monitor.

    Adam Knight as "Fake Batman"...

    by keysersoze

Adam Knight was, as it was mentioned above, a love interest for Lana...and he even rented out the apartment on the second floor of the Talon for a bit. the reason he's "fake Batman" is because when he first showed up, there was a bit of mystery around him, because no one knew who he was (as in, fans)...so, speculation based in large part on his name -- Adam (west)(dark) Knight -- plus the fact that he apparently didnt have any family when he first showed up, led some folks to believe he might be a Bruce Wayne type character.

    Supernatural ripped us all off

    by youignorantgeeks

Started off good... got boring... then got GREAT... until the ending of the season finale. For like a month the promos were saying they were going to have a final face off with the thing that killed the mom and girlfriend. Every damn promo promised this. And yet... was it final? NOPE. I never felt so gipped by a season ending. It pissed me off. And I'm not looking forward as much to this year because of that... ooh another year of fighting for the same guy? The guy we promised was going ot have his end at the end of season 1? WHATEVER. Plus we need a hot girl regular. The demon girl was pretty hot, but not hot enough, and not on all the time.

On the smallville note. I used to think Lana was SOOOOOOOOOOO hot. Now shes third. Chloe is the hottest followed closely by Lois who has the best body and is actually getting a younger looking face (the mouth wrinkles that made her kinda a butter body seem to be fading)

    oh and...

    by youignorantgeeks

I only saw the first 45 minutes or so of Superman Returns. My girl at the time wasn't feeling well and we had to leave. But my God... those first 45 minutes were incredibly boring. I mean REALLY boring. Normally I would hate to leave a movie midstream, and I would only do so if absolutely necessary, and then get annoyed that I didn't know how the movie ended.... But I swear when she said she wanted to leave I almost jumped at the excuse to get out of there. I was told by a friend that Superman Returns was great, and when I told him I left early, he asked when. I told him right when superman rescued the airplane by setting it down in the stadium... and he said that actually up to that point it was pretty boring, but from that point on that it got really really good... but i dunno, i guess i have to give it another try when its on cable.

    by shermdawg

It was AWESOME!!! Waaay better than what Singer attempted with Returns. I mean, how could anyone deny the opening moments in the Phantom Zone, or the Lex/Zod vs. Clark tussle? How much you reckon that that episodes cost? Because the effects were pretty damn nifty, especially for a little viewed network as the CW. With some of the stuff this show, and Enterprise pulled off, a X-men show isn't impossible to attempt. Of course Fox would never attempt that, because they be all sorts of retarded.Remember I said this season would go balls out? Well, as tonight proved, it did.Give Singer one more film to finish up the kid scenario, and give the franchise to...MELTING OWL & UNSOCIABLE HAMMER!!!

They already played up the social activism last season when they had Aquaman trying to save the environment from Lex. And that was really lame.
But I'm looking forward to Green Arrow, and wouldn't mind seeing him clash with Lex either; I just hope they don't have some homeless guy go up to Clark and be like "You helped out the purple skins and the blue skins. But you forgot about the black skins." And then Clark will bury his face in his hands and realize that he forgot to use his powers for social justice.

In this Superman universe Clark has been moping around for six going on seven years now. Given where he has to end up as Superman I don't think that I'm gonna buy him just flipping the switch and becoming the sure-minded confident superhero that Superman man is. Even up to this episode he still whines about not knowing what to do or not having anyone. The entire cast of characters and Jor-El (who I still can't believe is being portrayed as still maybe untrustworthy by Clark and Martha)have been saying to Clark, "Dude, you're the shit, now kick ass.)He's a freakin' adult now, in college (presumably) and mentally he's still a prepubescent teen.

what should have happened in the premiere:

    by mclocks

    1. Girl should have been Kara Zor-El and not died, but maybe stay trapped
    2. Flash should have showed up at Kent Farm looking for Clark, grabbed knife, went after Zod and get smacked around
    3. Ollie should have used shards from knife to make Anti-Zod Arrows
    4. It should have been atleast a 2 part episode.
    5. Fight between Clark and Zod should have been longer
    6. The word Lionel decoded should have been Darkseid.
    7. The Phantom Zone should have contained Kandor
    8. After all this hype of Ollie, he should have been in this episode

But anyway, did it seem to anyone else like the writers realized that they kinda wrote themselves into a corner and decided to just drop Zod as fast as possible?

So when is this shit gonna get cancelled ? It's about time. Green Arrow ? WTF ? Talk about overstretching continuity. Well, if Green Arrow can appear Lobo should appear, as well as Vril Dox and Guy Gardner. Then it would be worth checking out.

I was stretching a bit to make a point. The "Chaco Chicken" episode is still the all-time best xfiles ep ever. I loved that one. That having been said, my point about Smallville's "freak of the week" letdowns still stands. I understand that not very week can be epic and huge, but still... can the writers not base entire episodes around Lex drinking scotch in his living room with a fire in the background?

    by shermdawg

Like I've pointed out before, they are guaranteed two more seasons. And as one of The CW's flagship shows, it would be foolish to do so.And once again, there is no continuity because this isn't the comics, nor is it the movies. Also, sokitome, the story has progressed greatly over the last year. And given the storyline restrictions put in place by Warner Bros. it has done a lot with what it was given to work with. Even if, there were no restrictions, you guys would find something to complain about.Smallville, updated the property. Samllville, as teddanson37 said, made Superman "interesting". He's portrayed as a regular guy coming to terms with his powers and the effects of them on the people he cares about. To some extent he's easier to connect with than the flicks "God on Earth" potrayal. He's three dimensional. He's human. Which he should have always been.

    Great Show!!!

    by knossis

I caught the premiere last night and was lucky to do that. I missed all of last season cause I would always lay down to take a nap and wake up at 9:00pm pissed that I slept through. Yeah! I need Tivo or something, sadly that's not in the budget. Anyways...the episode was spot on. Loved the battle between Lex/Zod and Clark. The SF was better than anything in Superman Returns.Great Depiction of the Phantom Zone. I can see someone being pissed after serving time in that desolate hell hole. If Warner Bros was smart, they'd act of if Superman Returns never happed and in a few years reboot with the cast Smallville. They would have 6 or 7 years of TV continuity and Character growth to play with. You'd have the best Lex Luthor ever, not an over the top villan, but a complex man whose good intentions go horribly wrong. You'd have a Superman who who identified more with his farm boy upbringing than his Super heritage. In an earlier post someone asked, how would Clark assume his nerdy Clark persona in Metropolis if everyone has met him in Smallville. They don't have to play him nerdy. They could just play him as a guy whose eyes have weakened to the point that he needs glasses. When he was originally written in the 30's, he was a mild mannered reporter, not a buffoon or nerdy. George Reeves played him straight and they play him straight in the comics. He's a man as Clark Kent, just not a SUPERMAN.I never liked Christopher Reeves take on Clark, too wimpy. It would be a good movie if Warner Bros had the balls to do it. Oh! for all those haters who complain about the shows realism. Remember it's based on a comic book which is full of unrealistic repeat moments. Superman is meant to be over the top, extraordinary, unbelievable. We're dealing with a being from a mysterious world we know nothing about, so things will occur that seem unlogical to your average human. Check out any Superman comic. Superman's presence in Metropolis makes that City one crazy place with alien, super criminals, and gods dropping in at any given moment. So Smallville going to have some wierd stuff going down every ofter week.Great beginning!

that they are taking some creative freedom and writing their own mithology of the Superman story. Which to me, is fine. I'd rather watch a show where the writers aren't too confined to have to make an exact copy of the comic book stories, and just make something that tells it's self and takes a different direction.

They really should have put this on the big screen instead of Superman Resperms.

    Tap dance before Zod!

    by dfordandetta

I going to go ahead and say that I am a huge fan of this show even if at times it is the "poor man's Buffy".

My biggest complaint with the show is that the writers will set up a storyline and either not follow through or abandon it. Season 4 was really bad about this. There was Lex's mysterious glowing room that was never explained and his every 12 hour blood tranfusion that was never mentioned again after the season opener. Jason Teague is in cahoots with Dr. Quin or wasn't he? And what was the deal with Jor-El? It starts with him telling Clark he is to conquer Earth(Very Zodish) and then becomes more akin to the Donner version.

I liked the tone and pace of season five, I hope the next two seasons follow this style, although going a bit darker is always entertaining.(Buffy season six. Greatest. Television. Ever.)

I used to hate this show when it first aired because it was so different from the conventional notion of Superman but like a previous poster said when you think of it like Marvel's Ultimates series it makes for good TV. Its starting to feel more like Superman and less like the Creek, thats a nice feeling.

I like his 2.0 version better though (the one I linked), because he removed Lana, and ditched the Reeve scenes for a few action shots in Returns. Which is ok because, he used shots where you can't tell it's Routh (even though you know it's him). 2.0 meshes better.Once again, he did a great job with it! (Even though, I miss John Glover in the credits, but he most likely would be killed off by then.)

    Good Season Opener

    by barron34

The fight between Lex/Zod and Clark was great, a better action sequence than anything in SUPERMAN RETURNS. The Phantom Zone was cool, a desolate wasteland. As others have noted, SMALLVILLE has its ups and downs, but is definitely worth watching for the "ups". Hopefully the show-runners will re-double their efforts this season and make the show as strong as possible throughout the entire year, minimizing the filler. Clark needs to become less angst-ridden and become more mature and heroic, and even begin to enjoy his powers. The writers need to begin to finalize his transfomation from insecure farm kid to strong and secure superhero. Anyway, good show from the SMALLVILLE team.

    Metropolis

    by barron34

I had the same idea many years ago on the SMALLVILLE talkback boards on the original WB site. I would rather see a METROPOLIS tv series than another SUPERMAN RETURNS. I am not a Bryan Singer hater, but I am in the camp that feels that SR missed the target. It was just dull and leaden, and strangely had no joy in it whatsoever. SMALLVILLE, for all its purported drawbacks, still manages to be entertaining and lively after many years on television. Anyway, a METROPOLIS tv series spun-off from SMALLVILLE would be entertaining as well, I think.

    Clark's Burden

    by barron34

Another note on how they need to develop the Clark Kent character: The thing that seems to be missing on SMALLVILLE is that Clark views his powers as a curse or burden, whereas the comic-book Superman views his powers as a privilage and a sacred responsibility. Superman gets great happiness out of using his abilities to help mankind, and sees his purpose in life as being the protector of his adopted home Earth and of mankind. One of the superheroic things about Superman is not just his powers, but his moral character. Superman is superheroically moral, and he is not at all tormented by his powers and his respons-ibilities as Clark seems to be. In fact, just the opposite.

So, in my opinion, to become Superman, Clark needs to finally shed his adolescent angst and ego, and adopt the purity and nobility of character that Superman exhibits, and start to enjoy saving the lives of others, instead of pissing and moaning about his own lot. Clark is gifted, and he needs to start enjoying his gifts by using them properly in service to mankind, proactively, as opposed to just reacting to each new crisis as it appears.

    by oisin5199

I REALLY don't want to get into another SR bashing discussion, especially in terms of box office. Let's just say that we'll discuss it again when the sequel comes out. There's going to be one. It's freakin' Superman, for chrissakes. They're not going to let that franchise die. Smallville's an entertaining tv show, but it's not movie-worthy (sorry, Sherm). You cannot tell me that the tv effects on the premiere, as impressive as they were, could even hold a candle to the plane sequence in SR. Singer haters are so delusional that they' ll grasp on to anything that can justify their irrational hatred of the film. Barron34, nice observations. I hope the writers realize that by the time they end the show. It should really end on an uplifting note, with all the angst finally left behind.

    by shermdawg

"...premiere, as impressive as they were, could even hold a candle to the plane sequence in SR."It doesn't matter what had better effects, it matters what was more interesting. And having Clark be attacked by Phantom Zone spirits and him fighting Lex/Zod was a hell of a lot more exciting. Why? Because NO ONE in all of the years they've used Supes in the (live action) films or shows, have ever had the balls or the common sense to do something like that. Something we've wanted to see FOREVER. It was action scenes that wasn't campy or involve him lifting some random object. Now don't get me wrong, I like the big fight in Superman 2, but c'mon, Smallville captured the imagination of modern comics with the two scenes I mentioned. And yes oisin, Smallville IS movie worthy. It just needs a chance, if only one. Superman needs an update, and thats what Smallville is. Not some retro ode to the Donner era. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that they had sunk all the money into Returns preproduction over the years, and Singer becoming available, we probably would have got a Smallville flick, or at least a guarantee of one.And I'm not a Singer hater. I did hate X1, but most of those were due to budget cuts, and lack of support from Fox (mainly Rothman), the only thing I blame on Singer, was the raping of Sabretooth's character, and making him no more than a run of the mill thug.I didn't hate Superman Returns it has it's moment, although they are few and far between. I liked, maybe even loved the kid scenario, and the seaplane sequence. But overall, it was full of plotholes, bad characterization, and was extremely miscast. Unlike X-men, Singer was more in control of this one, and he kinda blew it.And no, I'm not talking about his sexual preference, so no one turn this into a gay bashing thread like the earlier Returns tb's always turned into.

It takes a hell of a lot to make a Zod/Superman fight boring as shit, and somehow they did it. I didn't even get perfunctory goosebumps at "Kneel Before Zod."

The acting didn't help, either. And of course, everything is hamfistedly fixed and wrapped up in 40 minutes with no real consequences. It's like they write an episode by tipping over a box of deus ex-machina onto rejected Buffy scripts, blending it and throwing it into a fan that blows in the direction of the cast.

The show had promise once, and this episode is yet another example of squandered promise.

How long did you expect that to last? We've got two more seasons and since this was the biggest villian Clark has faced to date, I wouldn't be surprised if Zod returned in some fashion to wreak havoc on Kal-El.I will admit, I was a bit disappointed John Lithgow wasn't cast as Zod. Person: "Are you OK?"
(Hurt person, hurt BECAUSE of first person, looks stunned, confused)
    Person: "What is it?"
Hurt Person: "You don't remember anything, do you?"

    oisin5199 and Shermdawg

    by knossis

In response to oisin5199's post on which effects were better, Superman Returns or Smallville?
I'd have to go with Smallville. The plane sequence in SR looked very fake you could tell it was computer generated. Routh's face looked almost airbrushed at times. Plus it the scene lacked urgency. Bryan just one tried to one up Donner's helicopter rescue in the original
Superman.Unfortunately the scene lacked the awe inducing moments that Donner's scene had. In the original, it was cool as hell to see Superman flying up the side of the building to catch Lois. But when the copter fell and he caught that too, it was awesome! No one had ever seen anything like that done before in film, it was a first. Singer's didn't work because we've all seen stuff like the airplane SF a zillion times. The Matrix did the flying stuff, so we'd all seen that. And everything else can be seen to be CG. They should have blended a little more pratical SF with Computer SF in Superman Returns. It might have worked better.Smallville got this right,we Clark hits the tree's and is thrown to the earth by Zod. The used a combination of CG effects and pratical effects. It helps pull you into the scene and you kinda go DAMN!!! when you see it.Singer's biggest problem is that he didn't shake up anything, he stayed with what had been laid out before by Donner. He didn't make his own film, he just reinvisioned Donner's. In response to Shermdawg's question of how did Routh play Clark? I don't think Routh got a chance to sink is teeth into Superman or Clark. He wasn't given much to work with. Both characters where just blah, almost robotic at times. They didn't spent enough time with Clark. If Superman is going to work, Clark has to work. You have to believe in Clark as a person. That's what they got right in Batman Begins. Because we saw Bruce's struggle with his own fear, guilt and weakness. You identify more with Batman. He's not just some total fearless, unemotional badass. He had to overcome a lot of crap to become the Batman. If they do make a sequel to Superman Returns(Which I hope they do) they need to flesh out Clark, and by doing so, they'll enhance Superman.

    Why Smallville Spanks SR

    by _maltheus_

Smallville has always been a guilty pleasure for me. But that episode reminded me of why I liked it so much more than SR, and some of you have touched on it here. The effects are used in a more interesting (fun) way. When they were fighting and ended up plowing through the earth, I loved it. Watching Routh look all constipated trying to lift a continent (it's a movies so things have to be BIGGER), I couldn't care less. No one is impressed by CGI for the sake of CGI anymore. ........ I don't think Smallville would be good on the big screen because no television show is ever good on the big screen. Conventional wisdom is that TV is fluff and movies are serious. But I think it's the exact opposite. You can't tell much of a story in two hours, especially when you have to set it up in a general way for a general audience. Movies always pale by comparison. Everyone's favorite movie based on a show was Wrath of Khan, but that was good because it was continuing a story from an episode. I can almost guarantee that any movie adaption here would change Lex's character into some ultra-evil guy to make things clearer for the audience. All the Smallville fans like him for his depth, and that's the first thing they'd strip from his character. You all know it's true. (Although I thought the "Kneel before Zod" line was terribly delivered.) .......... And yes, John Schneider is the ultimate Pa Kent. He was also one of my favorite characters on TV period. Pushing the reset button on that 100th episode was the worst thing that ever happened to this show. Worse than Lana as a witch/vampire. .......... And Louis isn't even a butter face. He body seems lippoed or she works out too much or something. It just ain't cut right. It ain't womanly. Lana is insanely hot, but she needed to die for the sake of the story. At the very least, they should turn her dark like Lex (she has it in her).

Plus there was some damn good acting in it.
