The Casablanci, Kendall and Dick, are back. So is Backup and Vinnie Van Lowe, P.I, and at least one fighting Fitzpatrick. Mac is back but Veronica’s convertible is gone. Wallace, like Mac and Dick, is living on campus at Hearst College, and has a guitarist roommate from Oregon. Francis Capra is still in the (slightly more melancholy) title credits, but you won’t see incarcerated gangster Eli “Weevil” Navarro in the first or second episodes. Lilly Kane is referenced, but does not appear. There’s more than one cliffhanger and a lot of surprises.
One assumes most “Veronica Mars” fans know that the superb first episode of its third season went online Tuesday, well in advance of its official Oct. 3 debut on The CW. But if you’re a straggler, you can still find all the Neptune-y goodness here.

Can't wait to get back to the Marsy goodness, especially now that the madness with Beaver is over. Love the show, hated that plot resolution. Thankfully, it seems that they've learned from their mistakes, according to interviews with Rob Thomas.

I tried to go on "Monopoly.com" with my mac to watch the episode, then get told I need IE6 and Windows Media Player 10 to watch this... Oh well, guess i'll just have to wait till next week, bring on Logan Echolls!!

Take the URL and manually put it in the video player, and it SHOULD play. Most people who are having trouble with the site, have foudn this to work. And it's really a great episode.

I hated the new intro with the slower version of the song and weird orange tinted opening credits. I also wasn't huge on not finding about Weevil since that was one of the cliffhangers of last season. The humor was great in the episode. The ending of what happened to Mac's roomate was completely obvious. All in all, I think that it will be enjoyed by VM fans but I doubt it will bring in too many new viewers who do not know the backstory and may feel somewhat lost.

I live in Hawaii and we don't have a CW Affiliate yet. Does this site offer other shows? Like say Smallville? It works for me and the thaought that I don't have to worry about finding is a releif!

I like the look of the new title sequence, it fits the noir-esque vibe the show has going on, but the song sucks now. As for the episode itself, great stuff. Writing is still nop notch, Kristen Bell is still hot, and the show is still interesting.

At close ups, they look shockingly similar, which is bound to cause confusion, but Woody Goodman is dead. This is not the same character. However, James Jordan, who played the crazy janitor Lucky last season, is playing Veronica's criminoloy TA, Timothy Foil. I was hesitant about this reusing of actors at first, but when I found out who I was playing, I couldn't even draw a comparison. They've hid it well.

Repay me in the form of enjoyable, and worthwhile talkbacks for Veronica Mars and Studio 60. Anyone else think they may be setting up Dick to be a suspect for the rapist, as a result of that connection they showed between him and Parker, and his whole "I've done a bad thing" at the end there?

It would seem that the slash-n combination is being interpreted as a line-break, possibly by the form handler, possibly by the SQL formatter prior to DB call. WOW. Who wants to lay odds this site is ridiculously prone to XSS?

Just finished the episode. 'twas great. Interesting to pick up on a plot line from season 2. Thanks a lot Herc. Saves me from DLing it next week, since I'll be watching some films at the VIFF. Now, if they do this for Lost and Battlestar Galactica, that'd be pretty sweet...

Started watching the premiere the other night, trying to limit myself to the first 10 minutes or so - especially since it was closing in on three hours till I had to be up for work and I really needed to get a least a quality nap in. Damn thing sucked me in. Good stuff. Though I'm not quite sold on Piz as a third point to a triangle between her and Logan. Have to see how that unfolds but he just doesn't strike me as someone Veronica would be interested in. Of course, with Logan being all dark and taking the blame for what happened with Beaver, she could just dig a light fling in contrast. And the "frak" business was unbearably cute in Kristen's mouth.

VM uses a mac .. but a mac user cannot watch this show .. there is no IE 6 for mac .. in fact "INTERNET EXPLORER FOR MAC NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD " ... i tried the other links published here ... but sendspace was not in the mood to share with me and the other got me a 404 (even after deleting the blank) ... ah well .. have to wait I guess

Frak! I can't get either of the download links to work! The livejournal one says that there are no more free downloads, and the trampymcbitch one shows no page available. I don't want to watch the horrible quality on youtube, and the streaming version skips all the time on my computer. Does anyone have an updated link for a download or torrent? Please. Thanks.

Good episode, if a poor teaser and first act. The use of 'frak' bumps the episode from a 3+1/2 to a solid 4 out of 5. I hope for a better episode in 3.2, but I'm happy with what I'm getting so far.

Where's your love for Mac OS-X? You're trying to reach opinion-makers with this content - to get people like me who have a podcast that a lot of people listen to to talk up the show before it airs. But wait! I can't get it. Why? Because I'm using the OS that a huge number of artistic types in the entertainment and graphics industries favor. Microsoft supports OS-X sometimes. Office is still the top of the heap in its segment on the Mac. So what's the point of blocking my ability to see an frakking episode of Veronica Mars - a show I love and am sure to talk up to the people who listen to me? In short, WTF??? With love -

*Spoilers for the premiere* First of all, the integration of "Frak" into Veronicals vocabulary is frakkin' sweet. Second, didn't the behavior of the men at the rally seem a bit unrealistic? I can understand their anger at the suggestion of the frat houses being closed down, but the fact that they were booing her from the moment she started talking was too misogynistic to be believed. I don't think ANY man would so blatantly boo a woman for speaking out after having such a horrible crime committed against her. This glaring moment of bad direction really stood out in an otherwise spectacularly produced tv show. Third, I have a hard time believing that Kendall is actually dead. Cormac would have been pretty stupid to kill her with Keith's gun while he was still there, instead of waiting for him to leave and using some other method. And hello, no body. I think Cormac and Kendall are conning Keith somehow by faking Kendall's death, and she's going to turn up alive somewhere down the road. Why would they do this? We'll have to wait and see.
