Now just cause the scoop says he's in negotiations doesn't mean he'll get the part... A greedy agent has ruined such deals on more than one 'at bat', as have tightwad producers. So let's hang back and watch for that 'casting announcement' that Wild Billy says will be coming soon. In the meanwhile.... I've come into information that Vince Vaughn, of Swingers and Psycho fame, is in heavy, secret negotiations for the part of Scott Summers (aka Cyclops) in the X-Men movie. Apparently the running has been narrowed down to him and Edward Norton, but Vince has been a X-Men fan for a long time and really wants the role.
Look for an annoucement via Variety and Hollywood Reporter soon. I thought you deserved the scoop first, however.
