Incredibly silly BOND 19 News!!!

Published at:  Jan 11, 1999 12:55:25 AM CST

Ok folks... There have been some damn silly stories to appear on this site, in fact... well I think when you set out to cover the world of film and the rumors that swirl around it... well you're gonna get some silly stuff from time to time. But this special guest appearance is the sillest guest appearance I have ever heard of. Is it a celebrity? Will it do something... cool? Is it the key to the entire film? Only time will tell, but I can't believe it will better the appearance of it's relative in EVIL DEAD 2!!!

A TV programme in the UK called TFI Friday (chat show with Chris Evans -
British Howard Stern) had a very large stuffed Moose Head hanging on the
wall
above Chris Even's desk - last night it was gone....
Chris confirmed to all of the viewers that the Moose was booked 18 months
ago
by the Bond studio from the props department, and will be appearing in the
Bond film somewhere...on a wall! I do not know the name of the character the
Moose will play and the significance he has on the plot - but for the moment
let's call him Mr Moose..I will keep you updated!

Call me The Quest...

    and there's more...

    by the quest

Robert Carliyle (spelt wrong)...has been confirmed as Renard - the bad guy in the new Bond film - he has a bullet lodged in his brain so he can't feel pain. It is not clear if the Moose fired the bullets!!!!

    ginger nuts

    by robvanfish

For those people who might actually believe this hilarious tale (and there will be such people out there!), please note:
Chris Evans has been known to, on occasion, lie for the sake of humour - we call it a j.o.k.e.!

    Coltrane and Evans

    by the quest

God some people of so pathetically picky on this site!

Chris Evans is the closest thing we have to Howard Stern!

I have heard that Robbie Coltrane will actually be playing a different character!

    Did you see

    by andyo

Did you see TFI when Chris Evans interviewed Howard Stern.
That is the first time I`ve seen Chris Evans speechless.

Anyway, back to the subject of bond:O)

Has a title been given yet? If not, it was mentioned on the telly last night. I can`t remember it but watch this space and I`ll post it tomorrow.

    I`ve remembered the title!

    by andyo

    `The World is Not Enough`

This is the present title for the new bond film. Sounds to me like it could be a bit of a space theme this time around. What does everyone else think?

Title of the new Bond Film

    by stegz

In the Bond Film "on Her Majestys Secret Service " (the One with George Lazenby as Bond and Telly Savalas as Blowfelt) Bond reveals his family coat of arms, it bears the motto "The world is not enough". Spooky, eh.

    Chris Evans is a wanker-official

    by tower

    Howard Stern is funny.
Chris Evans is a wanker (A versatile English term meaning: Unfunny fuckwit who labours under the misconception that people like him).

    The world is not enough

    by robvanfish

I don't know about anyone else, but I hope this new bond flick is going to be miles better than the last two "efforts". Don't get me wrong - I think that Pierce Brosnan makes quite a cool James Bond, it's just the fucking awful films that he's had to play him in. I mean Goldenarse was a travisty, and Tommorow Never Dies wasn't much better; turning J.B. into some kind of all out action hero. James bond was never (well rarely) a machine-gun toting Arnie. 007 stood for sophistication, going to Casinos, gambling all night, pulling the women and smoking ciggarettes.
However in the PC 90's he's had to lose the fags, and swap them in for full-action, a lack of decent storyline, and having women as equals. Just because the cold war collapsed - doesn't mean there are no more good storylines. I mean Moonraker, Octopussy, You only live twice, The spy who loved me - all great storylines, which didn't
solely depend on the cold war for their ideas. Just a maniacal baddie with lots of mindless minions and a really COOL base to defeat at the end.
Bring back some decent Bond adventures and leave the all out action to the hundreds of other films.

    Last post & commentary

    by alan dehaan

The person responsible for the last post has been sacked.

Seriously, James Bond has turned into a franchise. The marks of a franchise are, endless Merchandise, either your own or someone elses. and Commercials Never Die..er i mean Tomoorrow Never Die really was endless commercials. Next, you can't let your audience think...well the last few movies, even the writers didn't think. It's gotten bad, they need to remember their roots, fast.

    NEW CAST ON THE BLOCK

    by trebster

New piece of casting news is that Full Monty actor, ROBERT CARLYSLE, is to be the bad guy in Bond 19.. crappy title The World Is Not Enough. They should stick with the original title PRESSURE POINT. Perhaps they will. Laters..

Another Channel 4 institution in Bond 19

    by kieran

The Mirror (I'm told) reported today that former Big Breakfast co-host Denise van "hubba hubba" Outen will play a part in the film. Who the hell care's if Chris Evans' Moose is in the film? I'm just praying that Denise's Beaver will make an appearance.

    Bond and Chris Evans

    by kultros

Don't know about the moose but I thought it would be really funny to see Kathy Burke in a Bond film.
Don't think we'll see Posh Spice this time but it'll be really good publicity (albeit very tacky) for the next one.
Everybody does know that Sophie Marceau-Princess of Wales in Braveheart is going to be Electra. Don't know if thats been reported or not. Is it me or is Robert Carlyle ( a very talented actor) totally unsuitable for this role. Seeing as the man is supposed to be French and I know that accent doesn't really matter but Carlyle is the least French looking actor ever. Should have been very boring and gone with Jean Reno or at least rewritten the part. Renard means fox in french I think and I don't think that Robert will pull that off.

    the subtitles

    by 4-lom/zuckuss

We again apologize for the fault in the subtitles. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked have been sacked. The credits have now been completed in a totally different fashion, at the last minute and at a very high cost. (Mr. Bigglesworth, how could you forget about "Fillings of Passion??!!??") Is this film going to be directed by Reg Llama of Brixton by any chance? By the way, could someone please fondle my buttocks. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquistion. Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Spam! Lovely Spam, Wonderful Spam! Now that I've gotten my Monty Python jones out of my system, if there's a moose head in a Bond film, well then the majestic moose has won again. OH WHAT A GIVEAWAY!
