Status on the next DIE HARD film still in limbo'

Published at:  Nov 06, 1998 2:12:59 AM CST

Well here we go. Today we seem to be having agents that are showing the cajones to walk right on up and ask what's on their minds. First we have our two brave souls in Australia that questioned McCallum, and now we have a fella asking a couple of questions from BRUCE WILLIS about the next DIE HARD film. Unfortunately he didn't say, "We start in two weeks." It looks as if they are still honing the script. This is really the best thing. The last thing we want is a rushed production that isn't.... just right. Ya know? Right. Well here we go...

I go to school at Villanova, Pennsylavania and the Blues Travelers
were playing a gig here. Toward the end of the show the lead singer said
"i'd like to bring out a good friend of mine to play a few tunes" There was
a pause and then none other than Bruce Willis came out on stage and played
his Harmonica for a few songs. I know he is filming some Supernatural
thriller here in Philly.

Anyway, he came out and did a few tunes and after
the show I went backstage (my friend was in charge of the event). I met up
with the band and chatted with them and then in the corner I saw Bruce. He
was drinking a beer as I walked over to him and I chatted with him for a
few about blues and music.

Then I just casually asked him "So when is the
next Die Hard movie going to be released?" He looked at me with a look that
said "So THATS why you came over here".

He then stated that the script that
was originally created was scrapt and that the new one is being looked over
by his good friend John (Mctiernan???). I asked what he thought about
the last one and he said he was unhappy with the ending they chose because
they shot like 3 other ones and they were better but he was happy with it
overall and that it was a better overall shoot and that he is looking
forward to the next one...well by now i felt i overstayed my welcome and I
congratulated him on a job well done regarding the concert and good luck. "

So let me get this straight.....

    by deacon blues

After engaging Bruce Willis in small talk and meaningless banter for 10 minutes, he tells you everything about his new movie....

Should have asked him how Liv Tyler was too....

    Thank God

    by epitone

That's really good news. I have the original "jungle" script that DH4 was going to be based on, called "Tears of the Sun," and it's one of the most dreadful pieces of crap I've ever seen. I don't think there was a page from it that could have been salvaged. A brand new script is definitely a good thing.

    Choice of Director

    by bink.uk

Now that documentary-maker Michael Apted is to direct Bond 19, I think I know the ideal man to helm the next Die Hard...Michael Moore.

Who should direct? and Willis's future line up

    by abking

I hope McTiernan or John Woo directs this sequel. James Cameron would be the best choice but he's too, too busy with True Lies 2 and Planet of the Apes.

Bruno recently had THE JACKLE, ARMAGEDDON and THE SIEGE.Willis's list of action future movies keeps getting bigger: DIE HARD 4, CAIN, COMBAT, THE SIXTH SENSE, APACHE,... Although Bruce is my favorite action star next to Arnold and Sly, I think he should take a break from fighting terrorists and saving the world.

  • Come on . . .

I mean, do you REALLY want Bruce Willis to star in his own version of 'Stop or my Mom Will Shoot'?
