Small Casting TidBit on Luc Besson's JOAN OF ARC

Published at:  Nov 05, 1998 10:27:58 AM CST

Well we all heard about Dustin Hoffman landing a gig with Luc Besson in JOAN OF ARC, and we also heard it told that nobody knew who he was playing. Well never say nobody, because that's when our spy, MR NOBODY comes a poppin out of his dimension and drops us a sentence or two. Usually containing just the scoop. No elegant fancy writing stuff for this here Mr Nobody... nope.. He's pure Joe Friday in his English 101 skills. Just the facts. And the facts in this case were quite brief indeed. Here ya go...

Dustin Hoffman will play the role of the Grand Inquisitor for Luc
Besson

That should make for an interesting twist of the rack, eh?

So why was this part a secret at all?

    by angelbell

I don't get why they didnt announce it right away. I figured he was the inquistor right off but I'm more interested in John Malkovich's part. He once said it was exhausting working with Hoffman 'cause he has to do a lot of work to become his part.

I'm mad we have to wait until Nov. '99 to see this. The tv movie will be out first but is the French version that may or may not star Mira Sorvino not out until later?
I still keep reading that she is and isnt in The Virgin Warrior.
