Webisodes Pop Online For 30 DAYS OF NIGHT!!!
Hey folks, Harry here with what is very close to being the project entering production that I'm currently most excited about. That's the feature film adaptation of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. It's based on a graphic novel by Steve Niles. That it is being directed by David Slade, whose HARD CANDY kicked a lot of ass - without really being about showing much at all... is terrifically exciting. In HARD CANDY - Slade created tension and suspense effortlessly and paid the film off beautifully. Here - with Niles' story - he has material that is just aching for a director that knows how to ramp up the tension and anxiety - because - this is going to be very very scary - if they stay true to the material. Which they seem to be saying they're attempting. It has a very understated cast topped by Josh Hartnett and Melissa George - and what seems like a lot of natural New Zealand talent. Over at the official site - they've got some webisodes started - not that they're particularly thrilling at this state... there is one location scout - where as they pan the camera around... if you're familiar with the story - you can begin to imagine it all. Can't wait. Here ya go...
This takes you to the first webisode - the others are on the left hand side of the screen!!!
Thanks goes to Leontyne, who dropped us the links!

no rock soundtrack, no bullet tiem, no heavy CGI, no MTV stykle camera movement. Just a slow burn to a falme. Oh, and dont show the shark ubtil the final 3rd if ya know what I mean.

Slade - (paraphrasing) "Those children better not make any fucking noise." Oh, and what happened to the automatic login and all the old talkbacks we were promised while you were "updating"? Was this all just a little bullshit to tear down the Hi I'm Megatron talkback... and every other talkback that blasted Transformers for the piece of shit its going to be?

Been waiting for this for what seems like forever, I'm really curious to see how they handle the vampires in this as the way they are portrayed in the graphic novel is quite visceral and i'm not sure if the brutality of the attacks can be handled without using some kind of optical/cgi effect. A similar bloodless effect was used in Van Helsing to handle the vampire attacks using cgi, but as portrayed in the comic a much more vicious, bloody effect is needed. Watched Hard Candy last night as well to get a feeling for the director and I must say was impressed by the film, it was very well shot and high in production values for a low budget film and the atmosphere was very intense. Hope to see some effects test webisodes to see how they are going to visualise the film :)

I bet you'd like to own you Mr Aintitshot. Put a collar on you and walk you around the room like a sex puppy? Michael Bay riding on your back maybe? ...I don't really care about Transformers. I just fucking HATE the whole 'owns' garbage that was funny with pwned for about 3 days and now years later is very annoying. Its the internet's wasssup. BTW this looks pretty cool so far. Dude's head is on straight.

Has anyone seen the horror thriller film titled COPE...IT WAS SHOOT IN KODIAK ALASKA. You can check it out at www.eztakes.com. Great thriller very independent
