PRISON BREAK's Dominic Purcell As Banner In INCREDIBLE HULK?!?! Could Be...
href="mailto:merrick@aintitcool.com">Merrick here...
Several folks have messaged us about this tidbit; we thought it might be worth passing on.
PRISON BREAK's Dominic Purcell was interviewed on Scott & Todd in the Morning (WPLJ in NYC) earlier today. In case you don't know what he looks like, here's a pic:

Hosts Scott Shannon and Todd Pettengill dutifully cornered Dominic regarding rumors that he would play Bruce Banner in the forthcoming HULK sequel/reboot/whatever the hell it is.
Dominic's answer was decidedly dodgy and non-committal, although his pause and tone might imply a quite a bit.
HERE'S A CLIP OF DOMINIC'S REPLY!!!
Certainly nothing earth shattering, but intriguing (and a bit logical) all the same. What do you folks think?
Thanks to everyone who wrote in about this, with a special shout out to Fonzie for sending along the sound file!

That is all...

That is all...

Perhaps...
-
long time reader...first time poster.
may be alright. his acting in PB doesn't sell me on his abilities all that much -
hulk is gay
-
But you can't sell Buscemi as the star of a superhero action movie. It doesn't work.
-
Could do worse, he actually comes across a little like Bana
-
and, Lordy, he was terrible. Spiderman aside, Marvel might as well be going direct-to-video at this point.
-
had a name like a comic book character.
-
The first (and only) time I watched Prison Break, he delivered one line and I said to my wife, "This guy is a REALLY bad actor". Not only will this movie be straight to DVD, it'll be straight to the $5.99 bin.
-
It makes the transformation much more dramatic!!
-
That being said, I thought Lee's Hulk was tolerable.
-
Who would win in this fight of "Should've been action hero's", Dominic Purcell or Johnny Messner??
-
Dylan Walsh From Nip /Tuck go for the older bixby type that could come across as sad and tormented thats who is my pick
-
Spider-Man didn't have any. F4 didn't (Alba's hot but can't open a movie yet). X-Men...sort of did if you were a Trekkie. Anyway, Steve Buscemi is more well known than this choad. I look at him and "scientific genius" doesn't come to mind as quickly as "where's my wallet?".
-
Ok, Ok. It would be tough to get those damn apple commercials out of my head. You know he does not have to be a photo perfect representation when he turns into the HULK. In some respects it works better that way.
-
gets my vote.
-
Would probably want to try playing intense. The problem with Buscemi is that he looks too geeky. I love the guy, but let's have Banner just be a tad on the slight side. John Doe seems just too buff.
-
Whoever coined that phrase in AICN first should be getting one ass-fattening royalty check...
-
i was in the pannel and they said it would be like the tv show with him on the run... so i like the idea od dylan walsh doing the bixby thing...
-
and the hulk should be mad as hell and twisted and veiny! not like a big fat green cherub like in the first one! I actually thought you guys meant the other guy from Prison break with the tatooed body who actually wouldn't be a bad choice because he has Hulk like eyes already but choosing a hunk who transforms into a bigger hunk is just not right man! where's dramatic irony!?
-
The recent remake made the Hulk way to big. Too extreme. No fucking way can he fly through the air that distance. The audience is already trying to swallow the fact that he turns into a giant monster. Keep it in bounds. But Jennifer Connelly as always is a total sweetheart.
-
How about Casper Van Dien!
-
It's on SciFi right now. Take a look, it is simply boring and ridiculous. I love the fact that they thought that "Bruce Banner" was too silly a name for the tv show yet they have Banner meet his criminal double, work as a roady for the worst rock act ever, and never did find a good use for the main premise of the show. The man becomes a fucking monster! Why the hell do we have to see him meet new lame characters each week? The comic may have problems from time to time but it was nowhere near as bad as the tv show.
-
as in blade trinity. please don't, marvel, please. he really fucked up blade, he looked like george michael on holiday in thailand enduring 'roid rage. bruce banner was never that guy, even when pencilled by angel medina.
-
The romantic interest could be Drew Barrymore. Call it HULK NEVER BEEN KISSED, or NEVER BEEN SMASHED.
-
...for a soft-spoken, skinny intellectual type. Which, last time I checked, was what Banner was supposed to be (you know...to contrast the rippling green mass of brainlessness that is the Hulk?). But whatever. Bana wasn't exactly a 98 lb weakling, But he seemed to have a lot of insecurity going on behind his eyes and that was enough to get me to suspend disbelief. This guy doesn't appear to have much going on beside the "oops, I forgot to shave...do you think it's sexy?" look. Buscemi would rule the role. Duchovny wouldn't be bad either.
-
just saw season one on DVd - it fucking rocks and it was created by brett ratner supposedly - awesome show, great cast - order this asap
-
Id say Jeff Goldblum would be perfect to play Banner. Nowadays, I don't know. With the exception of SOME of the X-men cast, I can't say I'm happy about many of the casting choices for these comic book adaptations.Who the hell ARE these casting directors that are fucking up these films? This last batch of comic book films have really turned me off to the whole idea. I used to love movies, but lately there hasn't been much out there to love.
-
they should have gone with Wentworth Miller. i don't buy Banner as a hulking dude like Purcell, but if they wanna go for the good looking up and comer, might as well go with Wentworth, who can actually pull off the whole "intelligence" thing...which i'm not convinced Purcell can do.
-
And that's all I have to say. Except that prison break sucks dick too. Lots of Dick, and rumour has it that it swallows.
-
is there going to be a regular talkback for that movie, I mean it does open tonight and all?
-
Aug 17, 2006 11:23:47 AM CDT
No, you don't need an action star for a superhero movie
by rev_skarekroe
But you do need (or rather, the studio demands) an attractive male as your lead, i.e Jackman, Routh, Evans, Bana, Bale, etc. Even Maguire has more going on in the looks dept. than Buscemi.
-
Get Bana back, he's been unluvky I think inthat he's a great actor who's never been put in a movie as good as his debut (the awesome Chopper). Let him off the leash a little as Banner. Fuck, let Peter David write the thing!! We don't want hunky Banner, that sucks balls.
-
It was Lou Ferrigno's pecs. I remember coming home from college in the eighties, only to find my mom glued to set. She'd say, "oh, I know it's a silly show, but there's something about it that just keeps me watching it." and I'd say, "Mom, You really have to get out more." I think if you checked that shows demographics, I think you'd find it had its biggest audience among kids and lonely middle aged women.
-
even Emil Blonksy.
-
This dude blew in Blade 3. Weak casting. Weak.
-
Blade 3 blew in general. Didnt have anything to do with Dominic. He was awesome in John Doe tv show.
Check out this awesome review website. http://tinyurl.com/pv8do -
He looks a bit like Bana, so there's a little consistancy, but this guy can really build up some anger when he needs too. I like this guy, i think he's a good choice.
-
They can't cast the simplest of roles. What the hell is wrong with them?
-
is wrong with you dicks? Ang Lee is a great director and he brought innovation to the Hulk series and Eric Bana was excellent as bruce banner. I'm sick of this shit. give props where props are due. Daredevil sucked. There was no story and everybody involved sucked. Bring back Bana, fuck bring back Ang Lee and make a good goddamn sequel.
-
... this guy was so, so, so bad in Blade Trinity that he almost made me forget about all the other problems that the movie had. I'm talking Maria Pitillo bad. First they go from the director of "Crouching Tiger" to the fella who did "Transporter 2" and now this. Hard to get excited about this project. Terribly hard.
-
Bruce Banner as a meathead club guy.
-
this just sets off all kinds of fanboy alarms in my head, and not in a "hugh jackman is too tall to play wolverine" kind of way. who wants to see a big burly guy turn into a bigger greener burly guy? eric bana doesn't exactly have the physique of woody allen either, but he seemed a lot more banneresque than than this guy. why can't they just bring him back?
-
Maybe Woody Allen should play the Hulk. At this rate, it would get a bigger audience than with the schmoe they're going with now.
-
Hollywood is in a lose-lose situation, no matter who they cast, get to write or direct or even act, there will be those who will say they idea sucks and that the movie sucks. I like Ang lees movie, although the Hulk looked stupid. I think Purcell is going to be the evil hulk - abomination. banner /Hulk should be elijah wood or Dominic Monaghan or billy boyd.
-
Do the suits even flip through the comic books? Perhaps glance at it even once? How do they get Banner from this guy? If you need a name in the part maybe this is where Jake Gyllenhaal would work. Sheesh!
-
This queef is easily the worst actor on Prison Break. I cringe almost every time he opens his mouth. You know who would be SICK in the Banner role though? Fucking Edward Norton.
-
Did you say Edward Norton as David Banner? I think you've got something there ...
-
I want the jazzy opening credits, the narration, the fetish shoots of NYC, Banner dating women 1/4 th his age, and a depricating humor in Hulk Voice. "Hulk failed into get into chess team because of Hulk hieght"
-
Why, why, why are they hellbent on making the same casting mistake Ang Lee made by putting a hunky looking guy as Banner? Lee said he realized that in the comics Banner was meek, but he didn't want that as he wanted someone attractive in the role (seriously). Now they have a chance to do it right, and they gonna make the same fucking mistake. Why don't they go after The Rock for it, in that case?
-
Ed Norton for BRUCE Banner. :o)
-
Edward Norton.....I LIKE IT!!!
-
Kicks all kinds of unholy ass. I want to see him in that role NOW!
-
The need someone who is green. Wrong Race!!!
-
I guess it makes sense to someone.
-
Here's what they got so perfectly in the Hulk pilot. When David got upset, it actually grew inside of him. He couldn't lift the gurney, it started to rain on him, his car got a flat, the crowbar bent on him. Wham! he just lost it. That was the transformation. Then Feringo was in the STATE of anger, tearing everything up around him. The Hulk was created from rage. You CAN'T have an actor look like he is already mad. It wouldnt make sense.
-
Better yet, a sequel to a comic book movie with a bad director attached. Hell, he'd probably work for scale.
-
Ed Norton wouldn't go near this movie with a 100 foot pole. Okay, maybe if the studio paid him $15 Million or something. Otherwide, if you're as well known an actor in Norton's shoes with a quality rep, would you go near a sequel to a comic book based movie, of which the first movie did mediocre box-office, and its sequel is directed by some hack who directed the Underworld movies? If a studio executive made him that offer, Norton would laugh him out of the room.
-
How 'bout Adrien Brody?
-
Where Ed Norton's agent told him a great role just opened up because the lunkheaded brother from Prison Break backed out.
-
do The Hulk? If the pay is good, why not? Christian Bale is an amazing actor (The Machinist, hello?) and he pulled Batman off. I'm not saying pair him with a shit director, but with a good one. Lemme call Eddie and I'll let you know what he thinks. Hey, James Marsden could do The Hulk too.
-
Anyone who thinks the likes of Steve Buscemi or Steve Carell is right for the Banner part is way off-base. Check out the comics - Banner is more of a normal-looking guy than an out-and-out geek, which is why Bill Bixby and Eric Bana both suited the part. The main problem with the Spidey movies IMO is that Peter's geekiness is way overemphasised - he was only like that in the early Lee/Ditko comics, and he already left high school in the first film. As for the Hulk, I did like the movie, and going from Ang Lee and Eric Bana to some hack and (potentially) this no-mark is not very encouraging.
-
which is why the producers want to cast or have cast the dude from Prison Break. They're going cheap on this one. To do the Hulk sequel would Norton would demand a pay or play deal of somewhere around $15-$20 Million. Why? Because he knows that his name would lend instant credibility to the project. Who else's would? The guy who directed Underworld 2?
-
That's why Batman Begins had such a stellar cast. Even Sam Raimi got good people. I just don't think there's a huge bunch of people lined up to work with the guy who did Transporter 2.
-
It's the guy who directed Transporter 2, not Underwolrd 2. Which is much worse.
-
or stick it up your ass.
-
of $16 Million and see what happens. Because to go with this guy from Prison Break is basically shitting away the whole future of this franchise and dump whatever money they have into the toilet. Hey, wouldn't it be funny if Edward Norton does get this role? Sizeable Newt .. you get the credit.
-
BRILLIANT!!! I love it!!!
-
Man, what is WRONG with producers these days?!?! Must EVERY actor or actress skew to some sort of model/beefcake/handsome/pretty angle? Does anyone have ANY respect for the source material? Banner is a NERD. Plain and simple. Not a big muscley sexy guy. I mean, Banner's not *ugly* per se, but he's more milquetoast. Someone above recommened Noah Wylie, and I think that's closing in on the right type of person. Bana was great, in my opinion. But not this... I was excited for this new movie, but now... I'm not so sure.
-
to the schmoe who directed Transporter 2, it was pretty much over. Sayonara franchise.
-
could do an FX TV Captain America movie, after a few acting lessons ...
-
This lunkhead could study with Lee Strasberg for a year and he still wouldn't be fit to be a Ninja Turtle.
-
You don't get much nerdier than Stan Lee, and he loves appearing in his own movies. Just paint him green and get him to throw around paper-mache rocks for two hours (with added 'bionic-man' style sound effects). Who wouldn't pay to see that? Smash Hit!! Literally!
-
Flop movie that was made like 3 years ago. its got failiure written all over it
-
...either him or Guy Pearce. Nuff said.
-
TV is such shit these days ...
-
I think its bad casting cause I haven't really seen what he can do acting wise. He's fine in Prison Break but that part isn't exactly the biggest challenge. He played the bad guy in Blade III OK too, it's not like they wrote him some ingenius part. I just don't get all the bitching about him being "too hunky," Half of you act like they're casting a pro-wrestler-sized guy. What are you a bunch of primordial dwarves??? He's not that big.
-
Dylan Walsh or Zack Braff as Banner
-
I'll qualify that by saying that most Fall and Winter season TV is better than most movies. Summer TV is a wastleland, which is why I've made heavy use of that handy-dandy library card. I mean, there's only so many nights one can go out drinking and galibanting around with buddies before one's liver just expires.
-
Now I'm reading people refer to him as sexy. WTF???? I should also add I have no faith in this thing no matter who plays Banner. I think it will make Fantastic Four 2 look like The Godfather.
-
They don't come much nerdier than Screech. Hell, even though he's unemployed and living in Wisconsin, he'd probably turn it down. "What's the director done? Transporter 2?! Uh, I think we're gonna pass."
-
Buscemi or some other geeky dude - you stupid cocksuckers!
-
I think the Travel Channel offers better programming than the networks. I also think Netflix is a gift from God.
-
He sorta looked like a young (late 70s Spider-Man era) Nicolas Hammond in that film.
-
This guy is "TV good looking", but on the big screen, he looks like a normal guy. Let's face it ... most people have no interest in watching ugly people on screen.
-
He was great in John Doe, good in Blade 3 and pretty good in Prison Break. And I think he has what it takes to be a great hulk.
-
..to cast as Banner. Jessica Simpson! Or for a more feminine Banner, Kevin Federline.
-
God, I'm bored.
-
Give Peter David the scripting duties (and who wouldn't want him also writing a *Doctor Who* episode?). I don't mind Purcell in the film; he did nerdy in John Doe well despite his uber physique. Although he'd make a better Superman than Banner. JeanLuc's suggestion of Zack Braff is awesome but I doubt he'd do it unless the script was a masterpiece. If Marvel didn't go El Cheapo with the property, perhaps they could get a collaboration between Peter David and Goyer to create the story, and then Shane Black to do the polished screenplay and directorial duties. Hmmm...Robert Downey Jr. as Banner.
-
Kevin Federline? The movie is called *The Incredible Hulk*, not *The Incredible Chode*.
-
transmitted to Jennifer Connelly? Big Green Boobies!!!
-
Do you think this reboot movie will be as good as the first one? Because Harry apparently thought it was so great that he'd rather let a kid stew in a shit-filled diaper rather than miss a few minutes to change him.
-
Although it would have been shit no matter who was in it. That frigging hippy Hensleigh had no idea what he was doing.
-
The Hulk didn't make enough to warrant a sequel. Neither did Superman or The Punisher but they're still rumbling about sequels for them
-
wasn't Daredevil bad. I see DP as Abomination. Ed Norton as Banner would be good.
-
Okay, which studio made Lee's Hulk? Is Bana signed on to do more "Hulk" movies with that studio? But if the property of Hulk reverted back to Marvel, which they passed off to a different studio, the question remains ... Why The Hell Can't They Used Eric Bana Again? (thought he was awesome, anyway)
-
Or fork over the 15 big ones to Norton. And get Paul Greengrass to direct it.
-
ABOMINATION. Eric Bana is still contracted for another film and is apparently interested in returning as Banner/Hulk providing the script is good. I see no reason why Arad & crew wouldn't bring him back. Avi Arad and Zak Penn have stated on numerous occasions that Abomination would be the villain in The Incredible Hulk (aka Hulk 2). I'm almost positive that if Purcell is in talks for the film, it's for the role of Abomination, not Banner. That might explain his dodgy answer.
-
Steve carell!!!
just see for yourself
http://www.canmag.com/images/people/stevecarell.jpg
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/krock781/Celebs/dominicpurcell2.jpg
-
He's as lousy an actor as they guy they got to play Dr. Doom in the FF movie. Single handedly ruined Blade Trinity for me.
-
on pain pills right now. wow...I feel goooood. They should hire me to be th hulk.I'm big and green and enjoy rubbin' weenies from time to time so it's a no-brainer if you ask me.
-
Dutch the escaped convict in my remake of SOAP. With Kevin Kline and Patricia Clarkson as Chester and Jessica Tate, Denis Leary and Jennifer Aniston as Burt and Mary Campbell, and Dave Chappelle as Benson. "You want me to get that, beeyotch?"
-
This guy RUINED Blade 3 (admittedly that movie was shit to begin with) but God...he was fucking awful as the supposed "Dracula" He'll suck at this...this will be awful shitty suckage. The guy is FAR too buff to play regular Banner and he just can't act. Ugh...
-
Alexis Denisoff would be a great Banner.
-
The Show this guy was one where he has Amnesia but he knew how to do evrything and he color blind except for things that lead him to find out who he was that show sucked so did his hair.
-
I agree, like many of the posters above, that this guy is a horrible actor. Besides, he's too hunky and built to play Banner. Get Bana back! Yeah, the first Hulk sucked ass, but that had nothing to do with Bana. He made a great banner, and the scene at the end with him in the jungle facing off with the guerillas was AWESOME. If they make it more smash and less touchy feely emotional crap, I'll be first in line. And if you can't get Bana, at least go for someone who fits the role. Nathan Fillion comes to mind, or maybe David Duchovny.
-
Banner never would've worn a leather blazer. In fact, the only person who should ever be allowed to wear a leather blazer is Samuel L Jackson. Alas, that's another talkback.
-
what you want: an insipid, mindless parade of Hulk smashing cars, buildings, water towers, etc., which actually doesn't sound too bad even as I type it. But movies like this are like pigging out on Halloween candy. I really liked the Ang Lee Hulk (although, yes, the stretches between ass-kickings were too long, the CGI wasn't too hot, and the final battle was so dark as to be nearly invisible). Casting-wise, and tonally and emotionally, though, the movie was fantastic. The editing was unique and perfect. The dog scene was fun, as was the desert scrap with the tanks.
-
I just wanted a movie that made sense. Get rid of Nolte, Hulk Dogs and the giant nuclear jellyfish and I would've been foine.
-
It'll be like King Kong, except with the cook dude actually being a scientist, and having him turn into a giant monkey, that's actually Lou Ferrigno.
-
would be perfect as Banner.
-
Good choice just looking at him on Nip/Tuck I can see clearly now. I like Purcell but there has got be a contrast from Banner to the Hulk. David Duchovny would be great too but I just read today that he has not been approached. Norton is another good choice but we all know he wouldn't do it unless Ang lee directed again. Noah Wylie is another good choice too. Then in the next movie "Planet Hulk."
-
this guy looks like a beer guzzling cocksucker.
-
Michael Biehn. 1) because he's a legend, and 2) because he's a legend. Can someone possibly tell me how Kyle Reese and Cpl Hick do not get more geek love on this website. You're all fucking idiots. Because he is god and you guys missed it. If Cameron doesn't cast him, (tache or not) in Avatar, then I will boycott that fucking movie on the fact that Jim has lost his mind, (please note, all godd Jim Cameron movies involve Biehn in some way)In case you were wondering, Terminator=good Jim Cameron movie, Abyss=good Jim Cameron movie, Aliens=great Jim Cameron movie, Titanic=shit. End of. And you don't like this, fuck off, because you're wrong. this is now my new life, posting Biehn-y posts to make Jim realise what he once forgot, (and btw is it just me, or is Tim Olyphant now Biehn from 86 Aliens?)
-
why i hate Hollywood.. Michael Fucking Biehn was actually filming in my home city, (Bristol, UK), which is the ass end of the movie world. He came into my brother's shop and signed a card for him. Michael Fucking Biehn. The only true hero of my teens, (and let's face it, after Kyle Reese and Cpl Hicks, can you possibly name anyone even remotely cooler apart from (maybe) Bill Paxton, (who only had Hudson at that point)). Anyway, you will never see some shiteating crap pieceofshitactor like Ahnuld or Sly filming some (ultimately) shit movie in Bristol. What the fuck is that about? The guy is a fucking legend, did nothing wrong, (okay, maybe Navy SEALS, but let's be honest, is that any worse than Cobra or Raw Deal), and still got fucked. I'm still angry i never met him in my brother's shop. Cause if I had, I would have invited him out and got completely fucked wih him. Because he's that cool. And fuck all of you who don't think so, (btw, he maybe is a good Hulk, but that's not really what this is about, so don't get upset that I picked him)
-
Personally David Duchovny is my fav for the part and I know he won't get it. Fillion could do it too and his pay check would not be Norton sized in anyway. Marvel you can do this!!! No Drake he is HORRIBLE his scenes in Blade 3 are good for chuckles and that's a bad thing!
-
And Purcell is a heaving lump of braindead man-turd.
-
Makes no sense at all. This guy is a pretty boy. A "rough" boy. He is not the introverted, anal-retentive, uber brain that is Robert Bruce Banner. No, no, NO!!
-
HULK smashed! Give us Bana!
-
...at least use an actor who could pass as him and still work in the role. As I stated before, Nicholas Brendon (Xander of Buffy) would be a perfect fit as such.
-
Michael Biehn would be perfect, if only he were younger. Whether or not he knew it, he was channeling Banner in T1. Banner ain't a wimp/geek. He's an introverted anal-retentive with a reluctant realist bent. An intellectual that rationalizes his way through shit with brutal honesty. Least common denominator, black and white, no grey persona. Unfortunately, Michael Biehn is too old, albeit perfect. Justin Long would be great too. He has that "Oh, shit!" urgency about him that would be perfect for Banner, but he's too young (and a bit inexperienced). As for hollywood A-listers, I hear the Edward Norton camp, yet lean much more toward Ewan McGregor. But that's pie in the sky since no A-lister will touch this property. My #1 pick for Banner is the 40-year old virgin himself Steve Carell. Firstly, he's of average build and somewhat resembles Bill Bixby. And I am amazed at this man's ability to float between ignorant prick and naive dullard. If he can find some way of incorporating both personas into one, he'd be a spot-on Banner.
-
director has officially Kate Bosworthed his own fuckin movie if this is true. If fucking marvel thought the first one flopped they ain't seen nuttin yet.
-
Dominic Purcell AND the Grey Hulk!!! PLUS THE SILVER SURFER!!! AWESOME!!
-
How do fuck nuggets like him get acting jobs? Not saying I can do better, but c'mon... how can you consider him for anything other than a modeling commercial for leather blazers? Where he doesn't have to speak.
-
Is it a remake? Reboot? Continuation?
-
And the studio totally blew it! This is their chance to cast Banner RIGHT! Passing Eric Bana off as a geeky, socially inept nerd didn't work at all. So what do they do? Now they're considering a guy who is just as jocklike as Bana. Ugh. Don't repeat the mistakes of the past.
-
and I thought they couldn't get me to want to see this movie less. In this version is Banner a rich daddy's boy douche, because that's exactly what this guy looks like.
-
casting.
-
I only saw a few eps but thought it was pretty good.
-
inexpensive TV actor, why didn't they just go ahead and make an offer to James Spader? He's been a pretty good actor on Boston Common on ABC these last few years and he can play an anal, brilliant scientist.
So there you go, Marvel, free casting advice. Drop Purcell and hire James Spader. But ya know what, I doubt even Spader would want to be in a movie directed by the Transporter 2 guy. Who in their right mind would, other than Jason Statham of course? -
DUM DUM...DA DUM...DA DA DA DUM DUM..DA DA DA DUM. DUM. - TV'S THE INCREDIBLE HULK THEME!...Thank you ladies and...er - I forgot where I was - what ladies? Thank you "gentlemen"...and I use that term loosely. Oh & btw, ANYTHING has to be better than that steaming, green, radioactive turd Ang Lee made a few years back...and I 'aint talkin' about fecal matter...oh, wait...I saw the film...maybe I am.
-
I didn't know the guy from Prison Break was Dracula or whatever in Blade 3. You guys are right, he was bad in that, anyone remember, "Blade, time to die." said in a very nonchalant way. I don't know who would make a good Banner. Buscemi, sure, but that's not happening. Does Hulk even revert back to Banner in the comics anymore? Anyway, putting glasses on this guy would not make him a brain.
-
the poor mans Collin Farrell, yeah he's that fucking bad. I kinda had some small glimmer of hope for this thing until this little nugget of ass chocolate came out. Did this twit hire the Superman The Remake casting director or something?
-
for a truly geeky banner but this go around. Instead we get this meathead.
-
dj qualls.
-
Cripes, he was terrible. But then again, so is the WWF.
-
Lucas Haas? Eliga Wood?Or a compromise, a less than hunky but still strong character actor leading man type like Cillian Murphy.
-
or John Doe, for that matter, but I actually think he's pretty damn good in Prison Break. But yeah, he's kinda big already. So maybe he'll be Abomination. Meh, we're there for the big green guy anyway. Who cares who plays Banner? All he's gotta do is act tortured and full of repressed anger.
-
... while roping livestock in the back country. So much for that rumor!
-
...we still have fucking arseholes who think that BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN jokes are still funny. That shit went out with disco, you wastes of oxygen.
-
for mentioning Alexis Denisof. What a great idea! He'd be perfect as Banner!!! You see, the idea that Bruce Banner can kick your ass is not a good one. You need someone who conveys wimpy. Denisof is a perfect choice. He's a great actor with the perfect physical type. Fits it to a T. Eric Bana, he could conceivably kick your ass. Dominic Purcell could most assuredly kick your ass. Alexis Denisof could NOT kick your ass, which is why Wes went around with twin .45's and a Mossberg pump. And Louis Letterier also directed UNLEASHED, which was one of the best films of last year. Oh, and the fucknut who dissed Julian McMahon... the only well-cast role of that whole fiasco (but with the shittiest role)... you obviously have never seen a single episode of Nip/Tuck. CHRISTIAN TROY OWNS YOUR ASS. It's scripture. So it is written, so shall it be done.
-
but NOah Taylor, is my pick. One of the best aussie actors working today. Yet to get a leading role.
-
John Leguizamo ex of er. played an addicted dr. or they should cast an unknown actor, or hey even better and this would be a real suprise. ADAM SANDLER. I am going to stop now.
-
They need to find a real nerd like actor. Thats what Banner was a Bill Gates type!
-
Starring a green Elton John. You know you want it.

So Bruce Banner is now officially an Australian role?
by regicidal_maniac
Cool. Maybe in Hulk 3 Banner can be played by Yahoo Serious or Shaun Micallef or Noah Taylor (actually Noah Taylor would be a great choice.) If this has action and excitement, the only reasons why ANYONE should want to see The Hulk on the bigscreen, then it'll shit all over the first one. Just a shame they couldn't work things out with Bana
