New Cast Members For LOST and THE OFFICE!!

Published at:  Jul 28, 2006 12:41:33 PM CDT

I am – Hercules!!

The fabulous Elizabeth Mitchell is one of the two new female cast members on “Lost.” Longtime fans of “ER” will remember Mitchell as the red-hot lesbian doctor who turned Dr. Weaver gay for good. (This was before Henry’s other mom, the spicy Latina paramedic, came along.)

On “The Office,” Steve Carrell is joined by fellow “Daily Show” vet Ed Helms, as well as dreamy Rashida Jones (a former “Boston Public” regular and the spawn of “Twin Peaks” icon Peggy Lipton and musical legend Quincy Jones).

Lost's cast is big enough. They just have to find some ideas for the flashbacks for the cast members they have.

Now if they could only add Will Arnett PLAYING Gob still, trying to get some sort of job after the Bluth company incidents. Imagine him and Michael Scott's ego's battling! He could still even say "Michael".

    Elizabeth Mitchell

    by highlander25

Trying to place the name, then I wandered over to IMDB. She also played a pedophile in Running Scared, and Mrs Claus in the Santa Clause movies.

Not a bad choice really, I guess she will be part of THE OTHERS then along with the new guy?

I think she was also in "Gia" with Angelina Jolie as her lesbian lover. Ed Helms isn't bad but he isn't that good either. He tries too hard to get the audience to laugh. Maybe he'll be good in a sitcom though.

This adding new females to Lost doesn't sit well...

    by novaman5000

After all the females they killed off last season (3!! Count em, 3!!!), why would they just go and add another female to the mix. Does Lost really need to have all these love triangles, squares, parrallelograms, etc?? I may have been one of the only ones, but I liked the tailie women they had last season. Michelle Rodriguez definitely got more interesting as it went on and while her and Jack didn't have like thick sexual tension, it was apparent that, had they not blown her away, they could have done alot with her. The same goes for Libby, who has a ton of backstory that now has to be told posthumously because they wanted to shock us by having a double murder. Above all else, they had a totally plausible introduction. Now, where are these new women coming from? Others? As main characters? Others as love interests? Sigh. For an island that's supposed to be deserted, there certainly are a constant flow of new faces.

They're plugging the Old version as a Bonus-Feature.

    by pokadoo

I'm still gonna buy it though. Anamorphic or not, i'm sure it will look fine. Better than my VHS', anyway. Novaman5000, I agree with you, the two women they killed off still had a lot of potential, and it seemed like a waste killing them off(DUI's aside). All we have left from the talies now is Eko. The old guy dosen't really count, as he's a background guy, and pretty useless. I liked Rodriguez from Girlfight, and thought her addition to the cast was a good move. Her Character was certainly more interesting than Cry-face Kate, but i seem to be in a minority with fans. Not sure where all the Ana hate comes from. Also sad to see Libby so underused, but now that we know she's coming back for flashbacks, it looks a lot more like a story development than a canning. I also agree with Maniaq, i think most of the new cast are gonna come from the Outsiders(not the ones from the S.E. Hinton book), after that was set up at the end of the last episode.

Rodrigo Santoro on Lost - Yes My Lord!

    by annoyyou

The show's producers say he's not going to give Josh Holloway any competition as the show's resident hunk, but jeebus, who are they kidding?! The man is perfect! Just watch Laura Linney's character in "Love Actually" -- the woman nearly passes out when she sees him without a shirt! And yeah, he's a much better token Latino than the annoying Michelle Rodriguez. Man, just put Rodrigo and stealth Latino Henry Ian Cusick (who's half Peruvian) on my TV screen and I am SO THERE.

they actually give the ones they have something to do. For instance, I distinctly recall this insanely hot Australian chick in the first season who didn't have a damn thing to do except run around screaming "The Dingo Ate My Baby !" in season 2. I'd kind of like to see more of her on screen instead of fat slob Hurley's Haldol sipping, gut wound having nutcase girlfriend.
