(Glen Note - I know there’s a tilde over "senor", but I couldn’t figure out how to make my computer do it. Just imagine the little wavy thing over the "n" in "senor", and all will be okay…)
Glen here…
Well, the following information was clearly sent in by a deranged psychopath. Methinks him hanging with Gene Simmons isn’t too likely, but perhaps…in this person’s little "world"…he and Gene were partying quite fiercely - challenging each other to blood-clot hocking contests well into the wee hours of the morning.
None the less, somewhere within the following delusional ravings are a few interesting tidbits about director Robert Rodriguez’s forthcoming DVD releases of EL MARIACHI and DESPERADO.
Hello, my name is Senor Twiki and I have some news for
you. I was at Gene Simmon’s house yesterday when who should
come over for lunch, but Robert Rodriguez. That's
pretty cool.
Gene was talking up his big Halloween concert
he's doing on Fox. Apparently they are staging a helicopter
flying in, looking like it will crash into the audience,
then it flies out. Kinda dangerous for a Halloween stunt
huh? Well it's KISS, shit man, they made a comic book with
their own blood, they rock.
Anyway, that's not the scoop. You see El Hombre Theopolis
and I were serving drinks when Mr Rodriguez slipped in a
handy video tape he carries around with him showing the cool
shit he does.
Turns out that on the EL MARIACHI DVD he will include a 10
minute film school that he put together, showing how he shot
EL MARIACHI so cheap. It shows how he gets multiple shots
in one take, it shows how he did stunts cheap, how he did
machine gun fire, how he did the lights, how he did
everything. Well, I think that has been mentioned before,
but what hasn't is the next part of the scoop.
He's also doing a special DESPERADO DVD that will have
"Another 10 Minute Film School". With more tips on how to
make your movies cheap. It was also edited together in
Robert's living room (or so he claims). It will show how he
uses storyboards, to shooting his whole film on video,
editing it together, then shooting the real thing on film.
Thus saving him millions in planning. It's really 'Killer'
as Rodriguez puts it.
Simmons bugged out at the "Another 10 Minute Film School".
Rodriguez also plans on trying to do some more lectures so
he can show people the 2 '10 minute film schools' and answer
questions. I tell ya, me and El Hombre Theopolis think it
rocks.
Well, we have to go give Erin Grey her white outfit,
till the next scoop - Senor Twiki
