Requiem For Leo McGarry: THE WEST WING 7.18!!
Tonight brings the funeral of Leo, who died hours before he was elected vice president of the United States. We’ll see “West Wing” characters we haven’t seen in a good while, including Amy Gardner (Mary Louise Parker) and Ainsley Hayes (Emily Procter). Samuel Norman Seaborn doesn’t make it this week; Rob Lowe makes his first “West Wing” appearance since Feb. 23, 2003, next week, on one of the series’ final four installments.
Speaking of which, TV Guide broke the news this week: It doesn’t look like the U.S. president stepping out the limo three years from now is Seaborn. Beware Invisotext.
We finally learn next week that Sam didn't win the California 47th congressional seat in Orange County four years earlier. Sam now lives in Los Angeles. He works for a law firm and is engaged to be married. Santos chief of staff Josh doesn’t ask Sam to join the Santos administration as vice president; he asks Sam to take Josh’s old job as deputy chief of staff.
8 p.m. Sunday. NBC.
