Tim Dowling adapting Gordon Korman's novel BORN TO ROCK!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a bit regarding Gordon Korman's novel BORN TO ROCK. MIRACLE director Gavin O'Connor is helming this comedy about a college kid who loses his scholarship. He learns that his biological father is a famous rock star, so he heads out to try to get him to pay for his education. Of course they bond, etc. etc. I've known Tim Dowling since way back when the short that he wrote (GEORGE LUCAS IN LOVE) was getting popular. I've read a couple of his spec-scripts and I really like his sense of humor. He's now writing this adaptation for Paramount and MTV Films. I hope he kicks this one right between the goal-posts. Anyone read Korman's novel? How is it? Let me know below!
