MAY Director Lucky McKee Helms Tonight's MASTERS OF HORROR With Erin "Misty Mundae" Brown!!

Published at:  Jan 13, 2006 1:39:57 AM CST

I am – Hercules!!

I get to see a lot of swell movies at Harry Knowles’ Butt-Numb-A-Thons most Decembers, but few better than Lucky McKee’s "May."

McKee directed “Sick Girl,” the comedic and lesbianic episode of “Masters of Horror” Showtime is transmitting tonight. I have two important notes on this production.

1) It reunites McKee with “May’s” adorable lead, Angela Bettis.

2) It co-stars Erin Brown, whom late-night porn-lovers may know as Misty Mundae, star of "The Lord of the G-Strings,", "Play-Mate of the Apes" and "Spiderbabe."

10 p.m. Friday. Showtime.

I think it was the unrated version. They play all of them on Showtime and Cinemax fairly often. Spiderbabe gets a bit boring after a while.

And not Erin Brown the actor comedian who is in no way related to Misty though looks a bit like her? Only cause no where can I find anything that shows Mistys real name to be Erin.

Misty Mundae is so NOT hot

    by miserableraingod

She's cute, and she gets down with chicks, so thats cool...but she's got no boobs! Her body is that of a 13 year-old boy. And either those girls don't know how to kiss each other in a sexy way (that is, with tongue), or the guy with the camera is so bad that his ineptness actually leaches the sexiness out of these chicks' make-out sessions. Plus, we never see much more than naked making out, maybe a tiny boob kiss. Where's the hardcore, Misty?

"From the Director of All Cheerleaders Must Die!"

    by chickychow

thats from the coming attraction. wtf?? why wouldn't they say "May" which most ppl have heard of. wtf is All Cheerleaders Must Die? anyway, the trailer made it look really lame. I liked the last ep tho, one of the better this massively disappointing series has had to offer.

    May IS good until...

    by danielkurland

It turns into a generic slasher movie about half way, or 3/4 of the way through. The tone throughout is fantastic, all the stuff with the doll is creepy as fuck, and Bettis's acting around it is great, but when it just turns into over the top killing to get body parts it got boring and pedestrain. Although the ending is great. I suppose I was just disappointed that a good movie could have been made into a great one, if it just didn't make those few mistakes (which is only my opinion). Also, the whole video played to "My Baby Does the Hanky Panky" is terrific. Whatever happened to McKee's "The Woods"?

    Hardcore Misty

    by glaze

The only hardcore Misty ever made was The Vampire Strangler, a completely incoherent movie made with a home movie camera it seems but it does include Misty engaged in some hardcore action with a guy.

    BLOWTIME

    by cocolopez

So far on the whole I'm unimpressed- what's most unsettleing however is that on the Showtime site all mention of Miike's episode has been deleted- anyone know the scoop? anyway here's my scorecard-

    BEST TO WORST

    1. Cigarette Burns- 9.5/10
    2. Incident/Mountain Road- 8.3/10
    3. Jennifer- 8/10
    4. Deer Woman- 6.9/10
    5. Fair Haired Child- 6/10
    6. Dreams/Witch House- 5.6/10
    7. Chocolate- 3/10
    8. Dance of the Dead- 1.5/10
    9. Homecoming- 0/10

    Reply to Talkback

  • Dance of the Dead was well written and executed, and FairHaired Child has tension and a compelling storyline. Deer Woman was a complete waste of time (some "Master" of Horror Landis is; okay, the tits were nice and plentiful) and Cigarette Burns was just so terribly written and acted (altho the nasty-factor was high) Of course, to each his own, not tryin to slag ur opinion mate. ..actually I am, you give Jenifer a fuckin 8 out of 10?!?! that ep was unintentionally hilarious.

Homecoming is heavy handed and completely comedic, but I thought it worked - it's fuckin hilarious. The last bluescreen shot is stupid though.
Fair Haired Child was good too. The rest are varying stations of crap.

I only sat through one episode Chocalate which was one of the stupidest hours of television Ive sat through. Bland lead, dull and inconsequential storyline. Maybe the other episodes are better.

Only three things have been good about this series

    by domi'sinnerchild

Incident at Mountain Road, the design of the Fair Haired Child demon, and especially the find that is Jessica Lowndes (Dance of the Dead). Everything else was been a letdown. But I am hopeful for tonight, but it's starting to feel like being hopeful there's ever going to be another good Star Wars movie.

Chocolate was easily the worst episode...

    by chickychow

A complete piece of shit from start to finish. And how 'bout that ending? wait, what ending, the episode just comes to a sudden halt... I guess that was just Mick Garris's way of answering my prayers. (Deer Woman had a similarly abrupt ending.. no, not every anthology-horror show requires a "Twist," but that is something this series in general has seriously lacked: most eps just peter out..)

    These shows are so bad

    by blondeman

Seriously the Twilight Zone TV show with Ghost Dog was better than this. Kinda sad when you see the line up of talented directors they have. The ideas for the shows are just so lame. They should get some better writers in addition to the stable of top-tier directors they have.

    by vegas

If you think this chick is worth even remembering the name of just because she was in bad hobbit porn, you truly need to start interacting with women in real life soon. Besides, shouldn't porn stars either be hot, or have big huge tits? Flat chested and ugly ain't no way to go through Van Nuys, babe.

The worst episode was the one with the zombie soldiers.

    by grando

Wow, that was just, ugh. It wasn't even the thinly vieled political agenda that bugged me, in terms of just quality it was horse shit. Overall the shows have been mostly good though.

    by 24200124

    Hey, Vegas -

You'd be surprised. Some people actually prefer little tits to fake ones - me being one of these people. Stuffed boobs are disgusting sometimes.
Regardless, you just can't forget a name like "Misty Mundae". And there were some scenes in this episode of "Masters of Horror" that were not all of the bad...

    These shows are embarassingly bad.

    by fish tank

And yet, I watch - hoping to see a good one. Worse by far than The Outer Limits. Every episode feels like a 30 minute script stretched out to 1hr 15mins. Sick Girl was a hoooorrrrrrible episode with terrible effects, and the story itself was just plain bad - a 9th grader could have written better. Is it just more of the same crap?

I just watched the episode, what the hell was up with Angela Bettis? She's usually a decent actress, but her performance here was just embarassing.

It seem to me that imprint is to much for youtube to show. every time I see it up, it's gone the within the next day or two. the trailer is still up though so don't miss out.
