SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

I am worn out, and thank the gods this parade of network premieres is almost at its end.

Even so? Decorum demands we pause and make with the shout-outs to big-deal Emmy-winners “Boston Legal” and “The Amazing Race,” both of which return after long hiati.

The eighth season of “Amazing,” the first to feature teams of four, is billed as a “family” edition and kicks off with a two-hour opener.

The second season of David E. Kelley’s “Boston Legal” arrives having just garnered shiny gold trophies for the very deserving William Shatner and James Spader. It actually kicks off tonight with one of five unaired episodes originally shot for its first season.

“The Amazing Race” season premiere: 9 p.m. Tuesday. CBS.

“Boston Legal” season premiere: 10 p.m. Tuesday. ABC.

Get this!! “Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Complete Series,” the best TV series ever produced, WAS available for $239.99 new (or $199.99 used). But NOW you can pre-order all seven seasons brand new, including a never-before-issued 40th bonus disc,
for just $129.99!! That’s like all 144 hours for – what? – 90 cents per hour!! A better Christmukkah gift is unimaginable!!!

Maybe I should start watching Boston Legal...

    by eaglet1138

I love Shatner. And he's won two (TWO) Emmys for this thing. I just can't find myself actually wanting to watch a freaking lawyer show. Can someone convince me that the show is good?

    by mpfanatic

This show is amazing. Shatner and Spader are so good on this show. Its hilarious, the writing is great, it can go from comedy to serious drama in the drop of a hat. Its a great show

I mean, when Shatner won at the Emmys, Alan Alda very visibly ripped up his speech. I mean, losing an Oscar, a Tony and an Emmy all in the same year? Balls.

    Herc's Two Deaths

    by supertoyslast

Since the networks premieres are nearly at an end, does anyone know what Herc's Two Deaths were? I'm in the UK so wouldn't have spotted them, but I would like to know. Herc said that some people did spot the two deaths in the same show, but that it would be immediately obvious to everyone else when the show in question began its new season. Anyone know which show it was and who died? Thanks.

Shatner is really funny in this show!

    by darth bono jr.

INTENTIONALLY funny, I might add. With a little pathos tossed in. And he's always trying to bone Candice Bergen. But I'll forgive him for that.

wolf at the door speaks the truth

    by darth bono jr.

BOSTON LEGAL will definitely spiral into the ol' D. Kelley tailspin, probably soon. It's inevitable. His shows run out of steam very very quickly. It's the curse of all Kelley shows: nothing ever changes and then the ribs of the formula start to show.

    Wolf at the Door

    by mockingbird girl

Although I love Spader in BOSTON LEGAL, I also expected either Hugh Laurie or the superb Ian McShane (my personal choice) to take home the Emmy. I can only assume that these two actually split the vote, allowing Spader to win. Hell, I guess we should just be glad we've get to watch three performers of such high caliber on a weekly basis! (Okay, that should be FOUR, but at this exact moment I can't for the life of me recall the fourth nominee.)

OMG, The Amazing Race was rascist tonight!

    by shermdawg

The only afican-american family on the show, and what was their name? The Black family. They lost, and Phil uttered a line that you're sure to see on Jimmy Kimmel, The Daily Show, The Soup, etc. "Black Family, you're the last team to arrive, I'm sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated from The Amazing Race." Funny and disgusting at the same time. I didn't think they could get anymore insulting then the time they played Oompa Loompa music during scenes involving Charla the dwarf a few seasons ago.

As Phil Keoghan introduced each family in voice-over, I nearly did a spit-take when the only african-american family appeared on screen, and Phil refered to them as "the black family." ..But of course their last name was Black. Haw haw. :-/
