New kick@ss SAW 2 trailer finds its way online!

Published at:  Sep 20, 2005 4:22:58 PM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a few links to the new SAW 2 trailer! There's always a possibility that it might fail, but I have to say... everything I've seen so far on SAW 2 has me excited for the film. We know for sure this time we won't have Carey Elwes' awful American accent... or do we??? I keed! I keed! I'm a big fan of the original. It's flawed, but I really dug it. Hopefully I'll dig the sequel, too! Enjoy the trailer!

    What's different about this trailer?

    by kintar0

This is just like the one I saw weeks ago. And like the first Saw, I'll wait until DVD. Is Johnny Drama supposed to be Donnie Wahlberg, then?

Jesus, it's amazing. How can they legally call it a 'media player' if it can't even play media? God bless Quicktime.

    by mocky_puppet

because it's funny to hear all the different ways it screws up movie files. it has one job to do: play movies. and it can't do that one job! that's tragically funny.

The first one was a great idea with mediacore execution. This one looks like a cheap imitation of a 2 (out of 4) star film.

    Saw II vs. Zero:Hour?!?!?!?!?!?

    by abigaildb69

Hey.. I just saw this trailer and clip for Saw II and it seems to have alot in common with this film Zero:Hour. I saw the clip for Zero:Hour on The Reel Deal here in Austin last week and the trailer sure looks very similar.... After seeing the Zero:hour trailer before seeing the Saw II trailer I was pretty psyched about Zero:Hour!!! I went to the production company website for zero:hour and saw that they are in production now... does anyone know if these two films are aware of each other???

check it out here... I found it online.

  • Saw sucked... Saw 2 will suck harder. It took everything I had to sit thru the first one, having identified the badguy the second I saw his face (it's not like he's ever played anything BUT the badguy). The film was a pointless gorefest, lacking any real motivation or capacity to identify with the 'victims'. It was little more then "Ooo... didja see how icky that was?" I'm confident this will just be another 90 mnutes lost to the watchers life, and urge you to simply say 'NO!!' by not paying to see it. "Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance" was far more graphic * involving, giving you characters you actually got angry at for not having made better choices as the film progresses.

a screed about windows media and realplayer

    by emeraldboy

Windows media and realplayer are about the singley most inept software devices I have encounter.

These products symptomise all that is wrong with microsludge.

I think that micro sludge are beginning to realise this. While apple make quicktime 7,8,9 and improve their product. Windows are still stuck on Windows media player 10/real player 10 and the quality is as shite as ever.

It is like watching tv in a puddle. mpaa screen comes up and then youre about as stuck as passenger who turned up on time only to be told that the flight is either full or has just left and they the miserly cheap 50p airline wont give you a refund....

Has anyone noticed on Word that if you try to change the dictionary to say UK it turns back to US instead. ARRGH!

Maybe if we all stopped buying Microsludges programms and say that we will now longer accept crap from them they may just the message.

Microsoft can bite my shiny metal ass

    Cary Elwes

    by kuryakin

Look at his name. he couldn't be more English. His brother is called Cassian. And the English wonder why people laugh at them. Plus he's apparently playing the Pope in some TV mini-series. He should get Inigo Montoya in to sort this serial killer out, fuck that prick up in two seconds with a wee swipe of his sword

at least realplayer actually buffers enough so that the video is watchable. WMP just stutters from beginning to end and THEN instead of storing a copy in cache, starts STREAMING again. That's gotta be expensive. Why aren't these studios using bittorrent? I mean it'd be getting the viewer to pay for their ads!! Just as a concept that's gotta make a few CEOs cream their pants.

    England...

    by flummage

...I'm british, or english or Brenglish or what ever, and never in my life have I EVER met a man named Cary. Or Reeif? istead of Ralph, or Giles, or Rupert or what ever the fuck pseudo english stereo type moniker u wanna stick on. The middle/working classes of Brittain are closer to the working/middle clases of American towns n citys, than they are to any of the upperclasses. We dont see the upperclass anyway, they go to privite schools in the middle of the countryside, live in unaffordabley expensive pockets of this city or that villiage, and socialise in their mansions or private clubs. Thats that. It works. Why mess with it?

    by joeydoo

They should have kept it simple. Set up a scary situation and have some one freak out.

"Comes from a long-established recusant English family on his father's side. Several prominent clerics are among his relatives, including Fr. Luke Cary-Elwes, Dom Columba Cary-Elwes, and Dom Cuthbert Cary-Elwes. His paternal great-grandfather was Chamberlain to the Pope. Cary (the surname "Cary-Elwes" was shortened to "Elwes" in some branches of the family) was an altar boy at London's Brompton Oratory,".......... I am from Cambridge, with the university and shit, and I have never met a person with a background like this. He is not a typical english man. During his childhood he would be beaten up pretty much anywhere normal in this country. We are more like americans as flummage said, but a bit more clever in the out of the way places. In other words our weirdo inbreds are a bit more in-touch with reality. That's the way I see it anyway.

    Elwes and Media Player

    by gorrister

Bet I'm the first person in history to group those two topics in a single Subject Heading. LOL I also seem to be the only person in the history of Microsofts existance who has never had a problem with Media Player. Quicktime has given me a few minor problems, but nothing serious. It's RealPlayer I hate. :-P And, yes, Cary Elwes has exactly the same amount of American Blood in his veins as he does acting talant. (That's zero for those of you whose sarcasm detectors are on the fritz)

I was hyped about the first saw untill I actually "saw" it. OKAY, bad pun...but seriously, is the world really in need of a sequel to this movie? All the cliches are there, quick flashes of nastiness, young people that look like they all shop at the same urban outfitters, the lone asshole that gets offed first, the dark murkiness....jesus on a pogo-stick, its all the same! How boring. I MAY decide to add it to my netflix queue.

    by zino

...I always thought Cary Elwes was an American who could actually do an English accent. Now I'm confused - is he English, is he American, was he born English then moved to America...What? Actually I just relaised I don't care. But if he is American, I must apologise on behalf of all Brits - you give us Cary Elwes, who can do a very good British accent, and we give you Jason Statham. Sorry.

    by salvatoregravano

It actually happened a few times. Sometimes the solution was to abandon the laughable "seriousness" and go for camp and deliberate lunacy. And often it even worked, with bad films or bad series. Particularly with bad horrors - vide "Sleepaway Camp" or "Friday the 13th", where part VI is the only decent flick in the entire series...

I must've missed all the hype...

    by childe roland

...for the first Saw, because I wasn't nearly as disappointed or angry as many of you seem to have been upon seeing it. Of course, I rented it months after it becaem available on DVD and didn't shell out whatever it is the theaters are asking for movies these days (even though I've been to a few recently, I honestly can't remember what I paid). Saw was diverting and mildly entertaining. Almost overwritten in places (particularly the scenes involving Glover) for what it was. But I wouldn't turn it off it came on USA or TNT some afternoon while I was lazing about the house or sitting in the hospital. I expect Saw 2 will be of similar "B-minus" movie caliber.

the worst part of Saw was it's "mood"

    by modlight

IT was a pretty scary movie with some majory effed up things going on in it, but they ruined it by making it look like a music video set. had they set that in a more realistic world where everything isn't Fincher Green it would've had a way scarier impact.
