Watch Scorsese shoot a flick today! Life can't get much cooler!

Published at:  Sep 18, 1998 5:41:38 AM CDT

Wow... Watching Scorsese doing his deal... Bliss, I tell ya, Bliss. Whatever you do though, don't get in the way. Be quiet, be a ninja. But by all means take advantage of the opportunity. I'm envious as all hell. Can't wait to hear how things went!

I'm not available to spy on the shooting days (more unfortunite for me
than anything else) but here is the flyer taked to the light posts in
Manhattan

On the nights of Friday, September 18, and Monday, September 21, EMS
Productions will be filming scenes in this neighborhood for the upcoming
Walt Disney Pictures feature film BRINGING OUT THE DEAD.

BRINGING OUT THE DEAD features Nicholas Cage and is being directed by
Martin Scorsese. The film revolves around the experiences of a
paramedic working the night shift in the "Hell's Kitchen" area of New
York City. As he roams the city streets in his ambulance, he bears
witnesss to one human disaster after another, struggling to maintain his
balance in a grief stricken world. The film captures three nights in
the life of this young paramedic who wants only to save lives, but
instead finds himself being consumed by the grim reality he faces
nightly.

In order to facilitate parking, we will need to hold parking for our
equipment trucks.

It then goes on to list a lot of blocks in the lower 50's and upper 40's
on the west side around 10th and 9th avenues.

Thought you would like to know. You can list me as Baron Von
Marchausen.

    Dean Martin?

I thought Martin Scorsese was directing a Dean Martin biopic. Maybe that'll be his next project after this one.

Scorsese keeps me from getting home...I'm tired man!

Mark's damn right when it comes to shooting in the city...the tech nazis sweep down in a matter of minutes and cordon off every rat infested corner of this place like it's the tower of babel. I mean, if I can't walk out my door, stop by my favorite chinese place, and hit everyone's favorite strip bar, why would I live in New York?

    Par not Dis

    by jack stenson

Paramount Pictures, not Disney, is shooting this film. Granted that it's a co - venture between these two studios, the film will be released domestically through Paramount not Disney, which will likely get international rights distributing through its Touchstone Pictures' banner.
