Casting call for Central Tennessee
There's an offical casting call for the GREEN MILE in Tennessee. Want to meet Tom Hanks? The Grinch gives all the details below...
Harry, long time reader here from Murfreesboro,TN and this is something
everybody in the Middle Tennessee area should know about. Filming of the
Stephen King novel The Green Mile is about to start about 30 min. from
here at the old Nashvile prison. On the radio yesterday the gave a
casting call for extras. It will be Saturday, the Sept. 19 at the Crown
Plaza Hotel in downtown Nashville. The time is 1 PM and you are to bring
a recent snapshot. Please let everybody know, as I unfortunately not be
able to go myself. I am burdened with control of the store I work at so
my manager can go to University of Tennesse ballgame. This will be a
great chance to get some inside info. I will try to get a picture of the
prison if you would like.

When I used to work for Fox 17/UPN 30 in Nashville, we shot a promo for a haunted prison the police were doing at this same prison they're using for THE GREEN MILE... the place was creepy as hell, and this was in broad daylight.... it's a VERY good location....
