Have the rest of the cast get killed in some grusome fashion. It's win/win.

a flock of penguins? You should change it to raped by the 80's band Flock of Seagulls. more viable. dont know where I stand on this show, though I loved it at first. that last ep was pretty good..I don't know. I wish they would make it an hour, since it's not really a comedy any more. still has funny parts but so do a lot of other dramatic shows these days.

    Hey, isn't it "AQUAF@G"? Like "Swimf@n"?

    by smarkjobber

Get it straight, Herc, you fagophobe. As for "Entourage," Season Two was a marked improvement over the first. The biggest conflict in Season One was like Vince having to decide which blonde to bang. Ari pulling a Maguire is absolutely the best story decision they could have made to end the season (besides Turtle getting whacked, which is what I was pulling for).

Am I alone in this? They're freaking hilarious. Yes, Ari Gold is funny, but he's the sleazy funny. These guys are like laurel and hardy or something. It's great chemistry. The whole bit about "swords crossing" I almost snarfed my coke.

    by sans souci

Ok...now visitors to the site should know the context in which the original Aqua-You-Know-What was used...but guess what? It is still offensive. It's not robbing the slur of its power or the intent behind said power. It's still a slur...to both gays and to underwater kings! ;) It's second official use in this post just proves that controversy is the true king and brings out the talkbackin' action. If any of the people connected to the running of this site are gay, please do something to stop this Aqua nonsense soon. Again, it's not that funny. Even in the original context it wasn't that funny. And it does far more to divide people than bring them together, so bear that in mind as well. There. I said my little piece. Thank you.

in the show, the point of the joke was that it was horrible joke from a guy who was making fun of harry. this site is simply making reference to it. at this point if you accept gay people you do, and if you dont you dont. i have two very close gay friends and both would make fun of you, sans, for being so serious about something so not offensive on a movie website message board. if your so worried about peoples feelings go help the people in new orleans not bitch about this website quoting the word fag.

    by sans souci

Since when did having some standards and...looking in dictionary...decorum mean that you're way uptight and far too serious? Is it really too much to ask that in a public forum that some discretion is observered? N-word this. F-word that. Real brilliant stuff...if you're 10 year old. And sorry, but insulting everybody isn't a solution. You just drag everyone down to a level of being coarse and cruel. Maybe life is just that, but you can at least try to aim a bit higher. Foul language isn't going away, and I won't be a hypocrite and say that I never use it or that it doesn't have a place in society and entertaiment. Some performers can take foul language and turn it into a kind of art. But that's rare and they're professionals. They've got the timing, wit, observation, and skill to transform something ugly into something ridiculous. The only thing ridiculous is that AICN thought plastering the word AQUAFAG (Ooh! I wrote it! I feel so dirty!) in a headline would a good time, feel good sensation. Sigh. I swore I wasn't gonna post in this thread again. Ah, well. I return you all to regularly scheudled talkbackery. Discuss the actual merits of the show, the characters, etc.

    by obsd

"wah! I'm offended! wah!" Seriously, get over yourselves. Remember, this is the same site that banned people who shit all over Singer and Sir Ian McClellan because of their sexuality back BEFORE the first X-Men movie came out. Besides, if you look at most of Harry's posts, it's clear that he doesn't belong to the redneck christian right. If you can't look at the context of the word "aquafag" in refrence to the show Entourage, then try and see it in the context of Harry's beliefs and ideals. If you can't do that, I reccomend that you take a look at the world around you... AND SHUT THE FUCK UP! That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing where Ari ends up at the end of all of this. I've been a huge fan of both Jeremy Piven's and this show since the beggining, and it just keeps getting better. Now if only HBO would stop charging and arm and a leg for their bare-bones dvds...

Although I've never seen UPN's Veronica Mars, the Sci-Fi Channel's BSG, the WB's Gilmore Girls, BBC's new, Billie Piper co-starring Dr. Who, or many contemporary animated series, and thus my judgement is likely unqualified and irrelevant.

They used to give their shows a chance...how else can you explain Arliss being on for as long as it was???? I was actually staring to enjoy The Comeback, but now it seems really unlikely that it WILL comeback....and I'm still bummed about the non-ending of Carnivale!! (I ran into Michael Anderson, Samson, at the grocery store...VERY nice guy, who was as surprised by the cancellation as we all were!!) HBO needs to start cultivating viewers, and not acting so much like just another broadcast network!!!

...even their shittiest shows are great. Ever since Larry Sanders, HBO has basicly said to the networks "Anything you can do, we can do better." I'm not a fan of Carnivale or The Wire, but I know that they are high-quality shows. The Comeback is just a hiccup while they wait for Sopranos to return. :) 36 minutes until Entourage.... still enough time to Hug-It-Out with your mom. (Nobody's mom in particular, just "your mom")

    Why The Wire is great...

    by california split

...goes back to the old adage coined by Roger Ebert - It's not WHAT it's about, but HOW it's about. The Wire is a perfectly calibrated Ferarri of a drama without a wasted second or forgotten tangent. Thinking of The Wire as just another cop show is like calling The (UK) Office just another workplace sitcom. By the way, Entourage thankfully grew into itself this season and became watchable - still mainly due to Piven.

Why "The Wire" IS the best show on T.V

    by tonywilson

It's one story told over 13 episodes. Every character has time to grow and breathe. Layer upon layer upon layer of motivations, reasoning, corruption all serve to create true depth beyond ANYTHING around. Ok poopflinger "Deadwood" is another awesome show with true subtexts and ideas. But "The Wire" still wins out because it's basically the first televisual novel. If you have seen every episode and still think it's shit then that's too bad. You are too wary of being labelled a follower or something. If you haven't seen every episode then your comments about it are WORTHLESS.

That was some funny shit. Out of the blue cameo from the guy from the West Wing. It would be kinda cool for them to keep him on as Ari's other client, but I'm not sure where exactly they could go with that. Funny Show anyways, tied with Corner Gas as the most consistent half hour of weekly television today in my opinion. Anyways, time to watch Rome.

  • I'll start really liking it. For now it has gone from bad, which I thought of the first show of the season. No scratch that, horrible. To just barely OK. Piven is great. I can't figure out why I should give a shit about anyone else on the show. The movie stars best friend and agent (I don't know any of the characters names on the show except Ari...kinda shows how shallow the other ones are) is a cocky little prick who believes in his own bullshit and thinks being cocky is cool...when in actuality he is a sub-five foot tall little pip sqweak who would have had his head bashed in long before he made it to his 29th birthday. The movie star guy? What a pussy. Then there is the whigger kid. Whatever. And how does Matt Dillions brother fit in? I don't even want to know. The little gay Asian guy who works for Ari is funny as hell though.

    Er, Lezbo Milk

    by chicken2nite

dunno what exactly you're trying to say about Eric, in that he believes his own bullshit (he's the manager, Ari's the agent, as he told Weinstein in the Sundance ep, managers are the ones who care, which I guess could be what you mean by bullshit, although he's the best friend who calls his buddy movie star on HIS bullshit, hence the rant about Vince's ego trip of being able to win Mandy Moore back). Ahem. The one thing about this show is that it is very fluid, in that the storylines seem to slowly evolve out of the lives of these characters. You could tell how in the first episode with Mandy, they ended it with the option of it being simply a single episode guest spot, which they decided at some point to stretch out into this big season long arc. It kinda reminds me of that reality tv show that spike did in that sense, where the writers and the actors had to adapt to what this guy was doing and interacting with their ideas. They (the producers, writers, actors and guest star) all apparently were on the same page and agreed to stretch it out into a multi episode run. As for Johnny Drama, Vince's older brother, that's a riff on Donnie Walhberg I would think, as Markie Mark is a producer and it is somewhat based upon his early years as a movie star. After having a run on a Hercules/Xena style show (Viking Quest) that still airs on Sci Fi, he's a washed up actor who has some culinary skills. Not sure why you pick on Eric, as he's kinda the main character in some ways, having to deal with Vince and Ari and generally make sure that the whole thing doesn't just implode in one fell swoop (like it almost did in the finale there). As for the guy who calls this hardly a finale, how is it not? It wrapped up all the loose ends, all the plotlines that had been building throughout the entire season, and plus production starts in like 2-3 days, which was the same sort of deal that happened when the first season ended (where they shot queens boulevard). You can hardly call this episode weak, as you have another effective appearance from Cameron, as well as a payoff with the whole Malcolm MacDowell character, beyond just firing Ari (not to mention the whole Pauly Shore cameo which harkens back to something from the earlier Playboy episode). This show, even though the plot and individual episodes are sometimes weak, make me feel as if anything can happen, the characters, however flawed, wring true. It's something ellusive that I can't quite explain, but compared to any half hour live acction sitcom on the major networks I've seen recently, that is something. It doesn't seem contrived to believe that this is really going on, which lets me sit back and enjoy the comedy.

On CMT, Country Music Television, they have begun airing Ed from Monday through Friday starting from the beginning. So,, for those who missed this show that Herc and I hold in such high regard and for those like me who are about to snap from the lack of a dvd set available, there is now finally an alternative. And hopefully, some kind heartred canuck will find the spare time to encode some torrents for you guys less fortunate now that TBS has apparently stopped airing the show just when it was about to begin airing from the beginning.

Bouffant, you and I are the only people in America watching Rome

    by fluffyunbound

But that's OK. I'll take the episodes they already made, and if they cancel it, they cancel it. I have about 100 nitpicks with it - but typically I have 100,000 nitpicks with any production set in antiquity, so 100 is not bad. And I think the guys who did the production design on Rome should be locked in Thnderdome with the LOTR production design team and the last man standing should be declared King. Or Emperor, as the case may be. By the way, if you have HBO On Demand, for some reason Episode 3 of the season is already available, even though its "first-run" broadcast isn't until later this week. I watched it last night with a stupid-looking satisfied smile on my face. You never delegate the task of seizing the treasury, Magnus. You dope. // I can't believe that Rome, Entourage, CYE, The Wire, and Deadwood are on the same network. What's up with that?

    Acting

    by elguapo1978

Drama was way too cartoonish this season. Especially in the Kung Fu episode. Thats my only beef with this season. Turtle on the other hand I thought was explored as a character much more fully this season over season one. And the Wire rules too, anyone that criticizes HBO for cancelling the unwatchable Comeback should watch the first three seasons of the Wire. Season two was a little weaker than one and three but overall the show and its characters are some of the most truly human on television, especially now that Six Feet Under is Done.

So the very last episode didn't blow away Exodus..

    by reze11even

But what could? It was a very fine, well put together finale. I do think that at some time in the show's run things will have to come tumbling down, but now was not the time for it.
This show, since the very first episode, has become the show I have to watch, the show I still own a TV for. Sure, there's other things I watch- most of them on HBO -but Entourage is a show that is both consistantly funny, dramatic, and real.. in a kind of surreal way. I can relate to it in many ways, despite the extreme and special and elite circumstances that these charecters live in. Bring on season 3, and many more seasons to come after that. Good to see that the show is finally getting support, even if it's from the same people who first canned it. As for me, I have to go. I'm heading north.
