Hell O'Clock News! The first of the webisodes from the set of the TENACIOUS D movie!

Published at:  Jul 20, 2005 11:31:44 PM CDT

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a link over to the official movie website for the Tenacious D movie. While at Comic-Con last weekend I talked to some New Line peoples who invited me to visit the set. I did that Tuesday morning and will be very shortly posting my experiences with the Greatest Band in the World as they make the Greatest Movie in the World!

To hold you over, here's the first webisode which is ridiculous yet still very funny. Gotta love the backdrop for the JB and KG interview and who doesn't love Joyce Leviathan after watching the below? Enjoy!

Thought you might know already but I didn't see it on the site. The teaser site for Tenacious D's The Pick of Destiny is live!

HAIL SATAN! HAIL SATAN! CLICK HERE!

the only thing up right now is a interview clip called Hell O'Clock news. Check out the credits like Directed by Hitler, and Lighting by Cancer!

    Channel 101

    by macguffin

If I'm not mistaken, that looks like the work of the talented Rob Schrab, best known for his work over at http://www.channel101.com/shows/show.php?show_id=47 . Channel 101 does a lot of stuff with JB and KC. Check it out.

Rob Schrab co-wrote HEATVISION AND JACK

    by seeitattheskyway

That is indeed Rob Schrab playing Asmodeus the Anchordemon. He is one hell of a funny guy and an all-around great guy. I had the pleasure of performing with Rob in Milwaukee's DEAD ALEWIVES improv comedy group back in the day when he was creating his comic book, SCUD - THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN. He and writing partner Dan Harmon are also the twisted wizards behind HEATVISION AND JACK. If you are JB fan, you are already on board with that. He also created ZOOLANDER's insane brainwash sequence. After you have enjoyed his lunacy on Channel 101, see more inspired Schrab creations at robschrab.com.

And be looking soon for MONSTER HOUSE, produced by Zemeckis, with another script by Harmon and Schrab. This one featuring a great cast including Fred Willard, Catherine O'Hara, Steve Buscemi, and Kathleen Turner.

Way to go Rob and Dan - great to see a couple of truly hilarious and brilliant guys from the midwest rocking it on the coast!

(The Skyway is a fantastic Drive-In built in 1950, and still in operation in Wisconsin's Door County. One of America's cinematic treasures.)
