Hey folks, Harry here... The recent onslaught of TV spots for the FANTASTIC FOUR has me anxious to see the film for just effects purposes. I really wish the script wasn't the script I read. I really wish they'd gone CG with THE THING. I wish they hadn't totally ruined Dr Doom. But - I'll see the film on its own terms. Right now, there's so much I don't like about the film in advance. The script, the casting, the director, the design on The Thing and the arbitrary changes which just were not made to enhance the film, but actually take away from the story. BUT that's in the script. Maybe Tim Story ironed it out. Though - believing in the director of TAXI and BARBERSHOP isn't an easy thing. But damn if the Torch flying around and hurling fireballs doesn't get the kid in me excited a bit. God, I hope I'm wrong on this one.
