I am – Hercules!!

It’s the next-to-last night of May sweeps, and there’s not a new episode of “Gilmore Girls” or “Veronica Mars” in sight! Here’s what you get instead:

1) The season finale of “House,” easily Fox’s best new hourlong. If you missed last week’s installment, diagnostic genius Greg House has been recruited by his ex (Sela Ward) in an effort to save her gravely ill husband. 9 p.m. Fox.

2) Fresh from their second-place finish on the most recent edition of “The Amazing Race,” the two-hour “Rob & Amber Get Married” follows thuggish bore Rob Mariano and vowel-challenged enabler Amber Brkich as they plan their wedding. I’ll be tuning in just to see if Rob’s lips get tired as he tries to get through his fiancée’s pre-nup. 9 p.m. CBS.

3) Donald Trump’s “Apprentice” finale was roundly schooled by Quentin Tarantino’s “CSI” finale in the Thursday Nielsens. Can “Trump Unauthorized” fare better? “It fails to get under that famous mop and expose what makes Trump tick,” says Daily Variety, “perhaps because there's limited evidence of depth beyond the bluster.” “It's clear why this film would have little appeal to NBC,” adds the Hollywood Reporter. “As for why it holds little appeal for the rest of us, chalk it up to a slapdash style of storytelling that fails adequately to probe its unsympathetic subject.” 9 p.m. ABC.

4) The 10th of the 13 fourth-season “Shield” installments is a 90-minute affair as Vic and newish captain Monica Rawling pressure gangster Antwon Mitchell to admit his involvement in some cop killings. Dutch and Claudette, meanwhile, suspect a Texan of murdering black women. 10 p.m. FX.
