SWEEPS: DAY 23!! Frank Darabont and Fred Willard On DINNER FOR FIVE!!!!

Published at:  May 20, 2005 3:06:41 AM CDT

I am – Hercules!!

Jon Favreau’s entire line-up is Frank Darabont, Fred Willard, Harry Shearer and the great Alan Cumming.

And there’s this:

Hey Herc,

I just got word of this off the ViewAskew boards.

Dinner for Five" guest-hosted by Kevin Smith (with Jason Lee, Stan Lee, Mark Hamill, and JJ Abrams as guests) will be airing on May 27th on IFC.

This, apparently, is wrong. According to the IFC site, the May 27 show is Jon Favreau with Neve Campbell, Henry Winkler, Dave Foley and Jeff Garlin.

So I’m sure you’ll, like myself, be hoping the Lee Lee Hamill Smith Abrams show isn’t just some fanboy’s wishful thinking, and does turn up at some point.

10 p.m. Friday. IFC.

    Kevin Smith Hosting?

    by unclesam

That's great! I saw him on Encore a while ago. It was a taping of him on some college tour and the guy is funny. I missed about half of it so I'm waiting for it to aired again. Not a big fan of his movies but the guy has great personality.

    Why this crap on coaxial?

  • So, was anyone else confused during the first 15 minutes or so of Alias? It jumped around so much and seemed so disjointed that I seriously thought they were airing the second hour first. I think they crammed about 1/2 a season's worth of events into that episode. And to add to my confused state, I thought it was the season finale. So with 2 minutes to go I was wondering how they were going to wrap it all up. Happily they have a whole other hour next week to do so.

Another Exciting Hour of Favreau Talking about...

    by effbeeeye

Swingers, HEY! Remember that movie I wrote where I rode Wes Mantooth's coattails??!? Huh Remember??? No not that crappy one with Puff Daddy, the other one.

That's every episode of DF5 in a nutshell; well that and 2-3 celebrities who are usually hammered by the end of the show.

EffBeeEye, that was a long-winded way of saying "I never watch DF5".

    Alias, The Shield

    by fiester

The Shield is the single best show on TV. I can't get enough of it. Question: So is Dutch dating Vic's ex-wife? It seems like it. Oh, man, how would that piss Vic off? I also think that Vic is going to have to cut Lem loose if he's really back in business. Army will be the new strike team guy in his place.

I'm the one that sent that in

    by purgatori

and that came straight from Kevin Smith. So maybe they told him the wrong date or they moved it. Either way it has happened and has been filmed. It just hasn't been shown.

Some Favreau beans and a nice Chianti

Dinner for Five is entertaining when JF shuts the hell up and lets his guests talk. Everyone kept talking over Rosanna Arquette when she was on recently.

I actually applauded Kevin Smith for his appearance when he commented on how long it took before JF mentioned Swingers.

Dude, that was 1996, LET IT GO ALREADY.

There is only one way to make this show any better

    by clownbot3000

Make it one hour long - 1/2 hour is too short. This is one of the best shows on TV.

    wtf?

    by guerillatokyo

Noah Wyle left ER, Alias has a half a season in one episode, and all Herc can do is post about Dinner for Five? Oh boy! I can watch Jon Faverau talk over Frank Darabont? I'm waiting for the moment when one of his dinner guests tells him to shut the fuck up.

And why does no one else think Jon Favreau is the man? I love this guy.

That's a mighty fine list you've got there. Actually, most of them could make up a respectable Top 10 Movies list, in my opinion. I will have to disagree with you on the matter of my being gay on the snag that I don't find myself attracted to other men.
