"use your hatred! strike me down with all of your anger!" or something like that. what was it that Yoda said, "fear leads to anger, anger leads to midichlorians, midichlorians lead to jar jar, jar jar leads to sand, etc. etc." here's to hoping that ROTS is the movie the first two SHOULD HAVE BEEN -- that is: about stuff we ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT. may the force be with all y'all

"Mesa Luved Him!" Take whatever Mr. Knowles says with a grain of salt, that's all I'm saying.

Hahahah...that one was great. Almost as good as the Godzilla review.
I wonder what ejaculatory fantasies this new SW causes Harry. -
Remember how great attack of the clones was gonna be? Has there ever been a star wars movie that wasn't hyped as the greatest thing ever? and we know they haven't all been that.
-
I'll wait for Rotten Tomatoes before I watch this.
-
...trust Hollywood Reporter and Variety. Both have come out with their reviews of Revenge of the Sith and both have RAVED about it, the latter saying that it was a return to form for Lucas and the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back. I know, we were all burned by the flaming crapfest that was the first two films, but I'm cautiously optimistic that Lucas got his shit together on this one.
-
Then buy the new EP3 Video game! I picked it up last night and it has ACTUAL MOVIE FOOTAGE instead of graphical cut scenes like in other games! I did not expect that so when I saw Grievous, Evil palpatine, and even Mace fight with Chancellor I nearly crapped myself!
Anyone who has played the game KNOWS THE MOVIE WILL ROCK!! -
But I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than let down again. I'm sticking with my low expectations.
-
So far. Granted there are only about 8 or so reviews in and only 2 of those are from established critics but it still beats the advance word on Episode I or II. I have to say, I'm excited about Star Wars again. Something I thought Episodes I and II had cured me of.

It seemed more like a sentimental piece over how Harry's seen his last new Star Wars film ever. ****** Oh and: is it so hard, Mr Knowles, to not sound like a bitter liberal on a website that has little if anything to do with partisan politics? Your Karl Rove remark only shows that you're so filled with hatred and bitterness that you're willing to inject anti-Republican comments into things which are totally unrelated. How can you expect Talkbacks to remain on point if you can't even do it in your own articles? I come to this website to get AWAY from politics (loony liberal snottiness especially). Either be an entertainment news site or a political site; don't try for both. Your opinion is no more important than the rest of us, so stop forcing it down our throats. If I want to be exposed to liberal drivel, I'll watch ABC News, NBC News, Counterfeit Bush Slander News, the Clinton News Network, PBS, or the Baathist Broadcasting Corp.; or I'll listen to NPR; or I'll read the New York Times, the LA Times, the Boston Globe, WaPo, Time, Newsweak, US News and World Report, AP, or Reuters. *** I'll come to AICN for entertainment news, thank you. If I want pissant comments about Karl Rove or any other conservative, I'll go to any of the previously mentioned news sources.

I have to read TWO Star Wars talkbacks. Jesus. So Harry, did you actually like the movie? You spend the whole time talking about how sad you are it's all over. Doesn't sound like a very satisfied man.
-
its not 100%, but its like 89% of what it should be.. thats pretty damn good.. episode two had about 10 minutes of worthwhile story, but this thing is solid most of the way through.. there's a certain scream that will make you want to die.. you'll know it when you hear it...
-
On how long it will take Harry to change his mind(after all the inevitable negative reviews come out from "real" critics), for him to suddenly change his mind and say this final episode sucked?
Am I the only one that remembers his highly praise-worthy review of AOTC (which some LFL schumck supposedly snuck in his hotel room, via mission impossible)?
As soon as the film was released, and all the negative reviews came out, Harry was whistling a different tune.
Harry, I hope that the case isn't the same on this one. -
Can this be right? Leia clearly says she has memories of her mother as a sad and beautiful woman. How can this be poss. if Amidala dies while Leia is an infant?

But there's even better news. A pristine, huge, awesome version over at Quicktime.
-
I mean, a pristine, huge, awesome Quicktime version over at Moviefone.
-
but the lure of spoilers and all the trailers; I think I have ruined the thrill of watching sith with no knowledge of how it looks and what actually happens.
BTW i live in downunder... god damn SIN CITY isn't out for 3 more months!!! -
I am the drunkest right now, because, you know, mother's day, but I am watching Jedi on tv and thinking to myself that the original trilogy was just awesome, period. Even if this 3rd one is good it cant make up for fucking ep 1 and 2. So here I go: pour a little liquor out for the star wars prequels, for the matrix sequels, and for all the great ideas that got fucked up along the way. And let me just leave this discussion by saying that it should be obvious to everyone that although she is still fucking hot, nothing can compare to natalie portman's hotness in Beautiful Girls.
-
not great I Dunno, your little sister wont go out with me.
-
Everybody knows she was hottest in Leon. Peace Ou... OH FUCK IT'S THE FEDS

They have treatments for that though. Often you can find some offers in your email inbox. Good luck. We're all counting on you.

I loved your review, I can't wait untill next thursdayI am 34 years old and I loved your review, I can't wait until next Thursday, my kids (10 and 8) and I will be there 10am. I really wanted to also talk about how growing up with this story and how we experienced it with the ones who mean the most to us. I lost my dad 12 years ago and the strongest memory I have is how my father pulled myself and brother out of school for both ESB and ROTJ. Now what made this so rare was my dad was running his own business at the time and worked his ass off. He missed a lot of our baseball games and other events in our life because of work, but for some reason he would take the time to sit with us for those 2+ hours and marvel at the universe that was being created in front of us. For TPM and AOTC I did the same for my children, I surprised them at school and had them released. I do this because I love my kids and want them to feel the same experience I did my back then. I also want to believe that while sitting there watching the greatest story ever told finally unfold before us that my dad is right between myself and his grand kids in a bright blue glow. That is also why with a heavy heart I to am sorry to see the story come to an end.
-
He even liked TPM, so much so he did a special review on Jar Jar alone. Telling us how he is this hippy dude only looking for Weed and Peace.
Thanks to Harrys review, I won't be seeing this one. -
Once George dies watch how fast those kids of his sell off Skywalker Ranch to pay Harrison Ford's fee.

First, lets start with a challenge. Go out and make a series of movies that has 1/1000th of the impact, the imagination, and the loyalty Lucas' Star Wars enjoys. Hell, make ONE movie like that. No, wait, write a novel... how about a short story. How about doing SOMETHING besides lambasting someone else's work? I really, seriously mean this. I fucking challenge your ass to do something with yourselves besides riding the coat-tails of Lucas in the guise of "reviewing" his work. Hell, most of you are riding Harry's coat-tails... panning HIS review and what this movie meant to HIM. This wasn't a review so much as a commentary on what Star Wars has meant to him personally. I like this site... and what Harry and other's like him have done to make the behind the scenes aspect of movies more accessable to fans such as myself. When I read some of the comments about his story, I really feel sorry for some of you guys... up to a point. Some of you are totally pathetic... pissing on a guy's heat-felt reaction to a cherished childhood memory. I was twelve when I walked 5 miles to see A New Hope. I had been dropped of in Daytona Beach with relatives by my deadbeat dad for his summer visitation (which he only used as a means to torment my mother.) I had never been in a town larger than 10,000 people much less a city. I was scared shitless of tales about getting mugged and all that other crap people tell shitkickers about big cities. But I was going to see that movie despite my dad, not having a ride to the theater... not even knowing exactly where the theater WAS... I just knew it was "that way" up A1A somewhere. Well, I saw that damned movie and it showed me a whole new way of looking at things... of my own creativity. I might have turned out to be a hillbilly redneck SOB, but I was a nuanced hillbilly redneck SOB. Think what you like... say what you like, but quit pissing on other people's dreams. Or don't. Go ahead and piss all over what Star Wars meant to me. But I'll give you a suggestion- do it online. Do it here where you're safe to shoot your mouth off. Just don't be surprized if you do it one day and some guys walks up, kicks you in the fucking balls and spits in your face for being a boring, jaded fuck .

I went to the midnight showing of ROTS at the Metreon in SF... saw lots of fun costumes, and the digital projection was awesome, I definitely recommend seeing it in digital if you can. As for the movie... well, it's the fourth best Star Wars movie out there. Peter Travers' review was much more eloquently written than I am capable of at this hour, and I agree with it wholeheartedly. Entertaining ride though. Bash me all you want, but I actually thought the lackluster Hitchhiker's Guide was better, especially winning points for the muppetized Vogons. Despite absolutely amazing effects and some great action scenes, the abundant CG in ROTS was a little extreme... I mean, do all the stormtroopers *really* have to be CG?
-
I missed something at the end that everyone laughed at. When Bail Organa gave the droids to Captain Antilles, he says "Take good care of them. And the protocol droid is......." What did he say that annoyed C3PO?

In 20 years, Jorj will realize that he's got nothing going for him other than star wars and he's going to sit his jabba-like jowels down to write Episodes 7-9. Since Empire Strikes Back, this man had become consumed by the dark side, steeping lower everytime to smear hate across stories once loved in the known world. Deeper he dug, in the prequels, plumbing beneath the depths of the volcanic planet that had once consumed Anakin, and even lower yet will he dig when he sits to pen the sequels. But there is hope. For little known to him, a son hidden by Marcia Lucas in the African continent will come back and strike Lucas down in Skywalker Ranch, setting his body ablaze in non ILM-treated flames and pick up the mantle to remake the prequels as they should have.
-
ok, all Jedi's are virgins. Barring Anakin of course.
All Jedi's, when they are very young (younger than 8, which was Anakin age in Ep 1.) are some how screened for being force sensitive. As Qui Gon said, Anakin would have been taken and put into the jedi academy had he been born in the Republic.
So, because Jedi's are suppose to have no atachments, no love interestes, own no goods....
That would mean that would never have sex and all Jedi are virgins.
Furthermore, if all Jedi's are virgins, then how do they procreate?
Force ability was passed on to Leia and Luke from their father.
If Jedi's aren't having sex, where do all the new Jedi come from?
