ASK THE DUST prompts this spy to give Salma Hayek a standing ovation for baring her heart, soul and... other things!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here... Now, Harry's brief, but very public affair with Salma Hayek is notorious... the way she petted his hand and coughed in ecstacy... She spoke kindly to him about projector teeth and that moment where Harry had to face down that intruding bastard, Jon Stewart, who tried to take his Salma away... Priceless. It's a 15 second romance that'll live in infamy. Lucky bastard...
Robert Towne's ASK THE DUST sounds like a home run, especially for all you (definitely not me... no way no how) pervs out there who just want to see Salma butt-ass nekkid. This one doesn't come out 'til December, so here's your very, very early peek at the flick!
Hi Harry,
Just caught a glimpse of "Ask the Dust," Robert Towne's new film based on the John Fante novel. I'm a big fan of Fante, he was a huge influence on Bukowski and other Angelino writers, this is the first adaption I'm aware of, ever done of a Fante novel. Colin Farrel plays Arturo Bandini, a writer who makes his way to a flop house in downtown LA where he dreams of becoming a writer. Along this path he meets a waitress, Camilla Lopez, played by the luxuriously, never looked so gorgeous in her life, shot by Caleb Deschanel who was channeling Edward Hopper when he lit this film - Salma Hayek. I thought Salma was great in Frida, but she's never been this good, this sexy or this babe-alicious. I'm shocked! shocked! this will get an R rating - maybe I saw an unrated version. She's deliciously unclothed for a huge chunk of the movie. Cover grandma's eyes, there's the full Monty from both. At one point, I was wishing I was h...

-
..does she shave it to look like a monobrow?
-
I have no idea what it's about. I kind of fell into a coma after thinking about Salma butt ass nekkid. Now you know what would be cool ? Salma butt ass nekkid locked in a sapphic embrace with Caleb Deschanel's sneaky hot little daughter, Zooey. Mmmm.

Did no one see Desperado?

One of you guys must know someone who knows someone. Let's get to work, people!

I'd have my own spank video made up of all the different takes he has of Salma either nude or dancing in a bikini. I'd also add in my Sin City stuff as well. I'm sure Harry has a copy, but if I was Rodriguez, I wouldn't give him one, unless he gave all my movies positive reviews...

grow up gang. "you can see her boobs!!" don't you have to rent porky's or something? like move out of home and get a double bed? jerk wads

Remember AICN's review of ROLLERBALL? We were promised Mystique

No way you'll see nudity in the theatrical release...and probably not the "Unrated! Uncensored! Uncut!" dvd either. These scenes used to be filmed just for the "producer's party reel", but now it looks like they're also useful for whipping preview critics into a frenzy.

Conan O'Brien even re-enacted one of them using a baked potato. (You had to be there.)

Has anyone listened to Springsteen bootlegs from the 70s?
by brimacombe
My favourite has to be Passiac Night from September 1978. Badlands into Streets of Fire is enough intensity to fill an entire show. Prove it All Night is great as usual. I also like when he says "This is the land of peace, love, justice and no mercy...and it pointed down this little dirt road that said Thunder Road."
Despite this, I think the best moment is Backstreets, which is probably his best song. Its a song that is so good on the studio version that you think he wouldn't be able to duplicate it in the live setting but he makes it so much better. So much hurt and feeling in that song...I'm tearing up right now.
Also, if you like that show you should try Winterland 78 as well. -
... with Towne in which he expressed that Ask The Dust was his dream project - he compared it with Catcher in the Rye. We'll see.

Maybe for some of the shots it was a double but her topless shot has been capped to death and it is definately her (face and body in the same frame).

come on now - they will never show the full beaver .
can't quite believed i've lowered myself to this.... -
But damn if she's isnt pretty damn closee. Anyways, I shall squeeze one off in her honor during my morning shower. This one is for you Salma baby!

This was and is a great book(the kind without muscular men in skin tight outfits) by a fantastic overlooked author. The nudity will probably stay in as the story is about the two characters' relationship in and out of bed. Not to mention Salma Hayek has proven she doesn't mind being naked if it is integral to the story, which it is here. P.S. I would never, I repeat NEVER dump Salma Hayek. Not even if she guzzled booze, got fat, smoked cigars, beat children, or cursed day & night. I'd probably love her more. Beautiful, talented, ambitious...Ed Norton, you are a jackass.

Is Salma Hayek naked in any of em?
Dumbass. -
I saw a screening of this in January. Unrated - still needed finishing touches and A LOT of editing. Salma is definately naked - ocean frolicking, bed romping - I was suprised as it did not really move the story. Move the men, yes, story, no. It is beautifully filmed but the story and acting are a wreck. It should be a straight to video release.

I doubt Farrell can play this character. He's too good-looking. He'll have to give one hell of a performance to pull this off.
-
John Turturro 20 years ago would have been perfect.
I recommend the book to those of you who read books without unicorns. -
Thanks HarrisonsDad!

Unless they can get Salma to do a "Brown Bunny" in some re-shoots, this one is toast.
