Okay, Okay... here's the link to the new BATMAN BEGINS trailer! Sheesh!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a link that's a bit tardy. I know this has been up for almost 24 hours now, but due to MTV being stupid and requiring IE 6 and WMV 10, I couldn't get it to play on my Mac. I finally saw it at my friend's house today (one of the few PC people I know) and I gotta say... if you fit all the requirements to be allowed by MTV.com to view the below trailer, you have to do it. It's by far the best trailer released for the film yet. The action looks good, Morgan Freeman shows in 3 lines why he's one of the best, natural actors around and Batman pissed off and driving is badass to the max. I'm hearing rumor we'll get this trailer in beautiful Quicktime sometime this week, but don't quote me on this. I'm officially excited for this flick!

Seriously, why does a one-minute trailer need to "buffer" for like seven minutes so I can only watch a second of it at a time (although I didn't mind so much when that second was a perfect freeze-frame of the nipples)? RealVideo is the worst, it hardly ever plays right, even with my DSL connection. They should rename it BufferingVideo. And I hate sites that have their own little 'Zones' or 'Jump Stations' that make you jump through hoops to let you see what you want to see (and usually it doesn't work anyways)

I find it funny that the ever hip mtv won't let mac users watch trailers on their site, espically since mac is all about hip. Also, the few times I've actually watched trl, (like yesterday, when I forced myself to to see that kick ass trailer,) there alwasy seems to be a mac in the background like it's a cool prop. Nope, it isn't just a cool prop, it's actually a better computer.

Hmmm Overdrive only lets me watch all the old trailors! Assholes I tell you MTV are assholes! Ive stayed away from MTV for 4 years now. Its blocked on my TV....I aviod it at all cost. Then they pull me back in with this Batman trailor just to spit and laugh at me. I broke into tears and screamed WHY why me!!!! It was all captured on my web cam and is now making rounds around the net. The most disturbing thing is I heard Michael Bay has saw the video of me crying and cursing MTV and wants to remake it.

I hate MTV as well. I remember they were doing a preview for Sin City a few months before the movie came out with two of their VJ's pimping the comic books. It had some trendy, metrosexual guy talking about how cool Frank Miller was and some incredibly hot but fake blonde agreeing and commenting on how good the "graphic novels" were. I wanted to reach into my TV and strangle those posers. I felt like vomiting all over them.

I'm still skeptical about this film even though I'm a fan of both Bale and Nolan. But the trailer sure was nice. Maybe they did make something worth of the "Batman" moniker. I guess I'll be contributing to the box office for this one....still not going to pay to see FF though.

Who the hell ever said the Batmobilie was supposed to be fast and sleek? Pop quiz for you would-be crimefighters out there: You're a guy deciding to wear a costume and cape, and as your mission in life you're now going to spend pretty much every night trying to fight some of the nastiest human scum there is out there...no, take it futher...you're going to fight criminals in the DARKIEST, DINGIEST, most CRIME-RIDDEN sections of town. And as such, you'll be needing transport to take you INTO those bad sections of a run down city like Gotham safely and get you OUT safely, too. In fact, you might even want some armaments ON the vehicle in case you get into a serious scrape or shoot-out. So pop quiz: do you take a fucking Porsche or Jaquar as your mode of transportion because they're "fast and sleek"...or do you take a fucking tank? Yes, you take the latter -- end of debate. Which is why Nolan's interpretation of the Batmobile makes a HELLUVA lot of sense than any Batmobile we've seen to date, particularly since (as we see from the trailers) it ALSO hauls ass when you put pedal to the floor. As for it getting shitty mileage, somehow I think Bruce Wayne, MULTI-GAZILLIONAIRE, is hardly sweating the Shell gas bill when he pulls into a station and whips out his credit card to tank up.

I didn't feel like you actually had anything important enough to counter, but if you insist. All of the batman movies, yes I repeat ALL of the batman movies so far have been weak. The first one was fun, but the others didn't feel like what it could be like, what it should be like. Since I'm not so jaded and I haven't read the script yet, I wouldn't know if it is in the same vain as the others. Maybe it is. But, judging from the trailers, and stills, they have captured the true essence of the Gotham world. Also, the suit looks fine. If you wanna diss a suit, diss superman. So far I've had no complaints and so far have'nt had the urge to do a drag show or watch darma and greg whilst drinking a bottle of mineral water. I actually like the man's movies; I just wasn't a huge fan of the original. Also, I actually am looking forward to this one, it seems to have captured what Batman is all about, and I don't see how you can see that as a bad thing. As for realistic, I meant in the since that what would you want in a compact armored car? It actually looks like something the military would have, which is the point. As for Marvel films, I for one think that X2 has been the best comic book to movie film so far. Not because the x-men is my favorite comic book, I've always liked batman more, but because it felt like it captured the feel of the characters more. Don't get me started on what I think about spidy 2. I'm sure it was your favorite movie of last year. And the heart and soul of batman? It is dark, thats the point yo. And so far in the trailers, I've defently felt the dark.

Gotham is supposed to be a place where the powerfull have taken over, where chaos rains. The look in the trailer to me at least perfectly fits that. That by the way, Burton did manage to bring to the orignal movie.

I don't really want to get into this, but I think that you're seeing what you want to see, Sorkin. The only glimpse of the Gotham elite we get in this trailer is Bruce Wayne hob-knobbing it at some party. Otherwise, there's a panorama of probably Chicago and a shot of Katie Holmes looking out the el at a couple of smokey avenues. Seems kind of vague to have captured the essence of Gotham (if there is such a thing) if you ask me.

I'm sure I am seeing want I want to see Ribbons. A couple of the shots from the tv spots along with the quick shots in the trailer make me think I have at least some reason to get my hopes up, but if this movie really does blow as much as Moviemack hopes it does, I won't keep defending it.

I dug that Batman trailer more than the previous trailers I'd seen for the film. In my opinion, Batman -- for the first time in any of his movies -- actually seems badass. The Batmobile looks like it could drive through trees and gun down bad guys Black Hawk Down-style. Sweet.

even though it was only the first draft. Read the kill bill vol. 2 script. the final result was changed drasticly from the original script. It is also your opinion that the script sucks. Let me throw my two cents in on the following subjects. Batman: As far as i'm concerned, none of the previous Batman films have impressed me so far. The animated series owns all of them in terms of story, and character. I might give 'Batman Begins' a chance. I just want to see Batman get a good amount of screen time because in the previous films, the villians always got the lion's share of attention while Batman took a back seat. I just want to see a Batman film with no Burton wierdness, or Schumacher camp. MTV: There was a time back in the stone age of cable when MTV stood for 'Music Television'. Now, those days are over since the network has lost sight of what it was suppose to be about. MTV has become a network for stupid, trendy people, and VH1 is also going down the same path. Theses days, if you want to see music videos at all, you have to turn to the spinoff channels. VH1 Classic is all i need right now. I just can't stomach the current crop of music since the majority of it is pure crap. Computers: I think it's short sighted, and moronic to assume that Mac owners are gay. I own a Mac, and i'm a heterosexual male. Plus, i never considered myself to be 'trendy'. So quit labling people like that. Things aren't always what they seem.

Genuine question. how would you have liked a Batman movie to have been done? Who would you cast and who would direct? What would the plot be and how would it look? Not trying to get a rise out of ye, I really want to know.

creative liberties with the batman suit are more than welcome in my book.. as much as YOU'D like to see christian bale running around in the adam west costume, i'm glad they kept it black. i would have been pissed if they'd used the yellow oval insignia..

each new trailer is less interesting than the last...the special effects aren't very special...Christian Bale looks confused ("do I play him like the American Psycho, or do I play him like Crispin Glover") and Katie Holmes shows once again how nauseating cute can be...but every other cast member is a OLD pro, so it could still work out

and i have a big aversion against Microsoft's methods all the time. Since i first seen the trailer announcement on comingsoon.net i just refused to download this update crap (although i have updated...oh i mean polluted my second WMP to version 10...still having a special version of the 6.4 version called WMP classic with special features) and i won't 'cause it's unbelievable that this MTV link still wants me to install this exe-crap. Now thank you Oski for posting that link. You saved my day. (still i had to save this license shit and the picture quality is shit. wmv formats should be banned from the Internet world...MAN I HATE MICROSOFT) And how does it come that Real still exists? The player itself was never good (full of cookie and user info munching bullshit) and every streams (audio and videos) were and will be forever shitty.
hope the QT version will be released soon.
the trailer: worst chosen music of every BatmanBegins trailer. The music destroyed everything. The music should support the dark theme of that film and not reminding to a "MichaelBay" action flick...

I just realized something-- we don't agree with moviemack NOT because we don't see what he sees, but because we DON'T WANT TO. Because I have to admit, what's in the trailers is NOT original or impressive, it's just the fifth "rubber suit" Batman movie. Maybe the least campy, maybe the most epic. But a lot of the plot points we know about the movie (if they are true) are stupid, Micheal Caine really does seem to be slumming, Freeman and Neeson look like they're picking up an easy paycheck, etc. My advice is, if you love Batman LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS as you enter the theater this June. What we can hope for is that a halfway cool, non-campy Batman Begins reinvigorates the series and that we'll get the movie WE want by 2010, instead of waiting another generation for an all-new franchise.

Your energy level seems to be picking up as this movie's release date gets closer, which I wouldn't have believed possible given how rabidly you've been spewing prejudicial hate toward it since that first early script draft leaked. As for your "criticisms" which you seem so proud of and claim no one has been able to refute, I'll go ahead and address them for you. 1.)"Batsuit looks ridiculous..." Moreso than any other comic book superhero's outfit in the history of live-action adaptations? Check out all the hate being spewed on the new Superman suit, which looks like a slightly updated version of the old one. "It looks gay!" people say. Maybe it does, but no gayer than it looks in the comics. Its a body stocking. Batman went a different route and did the armor thing, probably after seeing how ridicuous the pudgy guy in spandex looked in Batman: Dead End. Of course that's just a speculation based on my opinion of a suit I actually saw in the context of the film it was in. You haven't even seen Batman Begins. 2.) "batmobile looks so stupid, they won't even call it the batmobile..." Again, your opinion of the design. I and others have pointed out its resemblance to the DK Returns batmobile. And you're mad because this is supposed to be year one and that batmobile doesn't turn up until the future? Exactly what is the standard current design for the batmobile? I remember reading different bat books in the same time period where it went from looking like a modern Vette to looking like an old Studabaker to looking like the one from the 60s TV show. Different artists interpreted it differently. As a comic fan, you should be used to that. And in DK Returns, didn't Batman himself muse about how Robin called it "the Batmobile?" Is Robin in this movie? No? Then who would call it that? 3.) "Scarecrow looks like a dork with a paper bag over his face (Cillian Murphy unmasked is way scarier)..." Again, your opinion. I've seen the images and he looks creepy. Almost like the stitchface villain played by Cronenberg in Nightbreed, who I believe was a psychologist gone bad (kind of similar to Scarecrow's origin, huh?). Seems an appropriate translation of the character to me. 4.) "Dawson's creek chick looks like the Dawson's Creek chick..." What is it you don't like about that specifically? Chicks? 5.) "Michael Caine looks like he's slumming..." If you mean the slightly detached, bored look he has, check his other movies. When he's not frothing-at-the-mouth angry or leering at the ladies, that's how he looks. In fact (and no offense to my British friends) many a Brit I know tends to have that bored detached look when dealing with Americans. And Caine's attitude feels right in line with the way Alfred was portrayed on The Animated Series, which most fans love. 6.) "Neesom looks like Ra's and Watanabe looks like Ubu..." I'm assuming this would mean something if I understood your funny moon language but, alas, I don't, so I'll go ahead and concede this point to you. 7.) "the bats look like a bad Halloween screensaver..." Do you have any good Halloween screen savers? I don't even have any bad ones. The bats looked like bats to me. 8.) "toys look like ugly garbage (go look at them)..." Are you actually reading the shit you type? We're talking movies here... not toys last time I checked. 8.) "and you all are going to look like idiots having loudly championed a film that will leave them all yawning. I, on the other hand, will look like the one geek in America who knows the fit from the fizzle." So now we get to it. You really, REALLY want this movie to suck so badly because you so loudly pronounced it would back when you first read that leaked script. To back off that position now might make you seem less the intuitive genius than your Dark Knight hero (whom you claim to know so well that, secretly, you must believe you are him or just like him). It's got to suck. It just has to... or else you'd be... (gasp) wrong? Just about everyone else posting here is going to have the balls and common sense to actually go watch the movie before trying to convince ourselves or anyone else it's horrible. Doubt we can say the same for you, though, given the crappy quality of the toys and the presence of a chick and all. 9.) "Suck my biggie." Are you offering me a sip of some soft drink procured from a 7-11? Or are you seeking some sort of wee weenie gratification? If it's the latter, I'm afraid I must decline as A.) I don't swing that way and B.) I left my tweezers and silly straw at home. Still with me, moviemack? Because Fuck You sends his regards, you annoying twit.
