Ahoy, squirts! Quint here... feeling a little confused after being hit by the coincidence stick with the announcement of Will Ferrell playing Rick Marshall in a big screen adaptation of Sid and Marty Kroft's King of cheeseball TV shows, LAND OF THE LOST. Remember, Will Ferrell played Marshal Willenholly in Kevin Smith's JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, a character that Smith named after the TV show (specifically that damned catchy Theme song...). If this was the first day of April I might have thought a leg was being pulled, but Yahoo has the scoop on this one. I hope McKay brings the same sort of crazed hilarity he brought to ANCHORMAN... if only Brick was a main character... Not Steve Carell... Brick... yeah... I love Pen... I love phone... I love computer... I love keyboard... Yes... I'm looking at things around the room and saying that I love them

I'm sure you've gotten a bunch of others with the scoop seeing as how this was on the Yahoo! front page, but Will Ferrell is attached to star in a big-screen adaptation of the Sid and Marty Krofft show "Land of the Lost"!  Adam McKay, the genius behind Ferrell and Co. in Anchorman, is set to direct.  May I suggest casting the lizard-like James Woods as a Sleestack?
